I suspect they just don't understand the psychology involved in what they're doing, while they believe themselves to be geniuses who are optimizing exposure.

After the first couple of releases, people start becoming desensitized, and then as time goes by, the vast majority of people can't be bothered keeping track of all the details on a drip-by-drip basis, so the desensitization drives them to tune out the noise.

If they had any clue what they're doing, they'd use a single shock-and-awe release.

I disagree, i think they know exactly what they're doing and that it's intentional. Wikileaks always seemed like CO to me, if they really wanted him gone he would be and no real damaging info would be allowed to be released.
