The pacing of this show is so fucking fast. It's like it has ADHD.

That was my biggest problem with it when I tried rewatching it years ago - nobody would shut the hell up for five seconds.
>watching the venom episode of this show
>marry jane says how peter's acting different
>show flashes back to ten minutes ago
alla you can eat my butt
rewatched it not too long ago
it's a bit soft, but overall still pretty decent
the pacing is ridiculous because it's for kids, dumbass
all normal kids have super short attention spans
>the pacing is ridiculous because it's for kids, dumbass
That's a shitty excuse and you know it. Literally every other superhero show of the decade was better about that shit, even the fucking X-Men show made by the same studio. Somethings are just poorly written and poorly animated, holy shit if I had to see that hideous stock footage of Spidey webswinging one more time...
Aged like fucking milk. Anyone who thinks this was unironcally good is a massive nostalgiafag. I'd even go as far as say, none of the 90s Marvel shows were good. X-men was half decent but it fell hard after the initial seasons.
both of you are a pack of diapermen
i'll admit it's not great, but it's still fun
There are good aspects of it. It has the best Spider-Man voice and I liked the artstyle.
Meh, Barnes was way too over the top for my liking and everyone with the same line backer physique felt off putting.
I wasn't a fan of the artstyle. I recall so many of the men in the show having the same body-type, and some of the designs, like Venom's, looking off. Also I feel I have to disagree on the voice, but he is far from the worst. I'll take him over Drake Bell or Mike Vaughn any day.
But yeah, there were good aspects. I liked their version of Hydro-Man, I was happy that they managed to handle Carnage well despite how overly censored the show was, and Spider-Carnage seemed interesting. Also, I did like Jim Cummings as Shocker.
Who has the best Spidey voice?
>The only 90s Spidey fan uses grade-school level name-calling and doesn't use proper capitalization
Yeah, that sounds about right.
Not everyone's in agreement on that.
I personally loved Josh Keaton's performance, but literally in another thread someone is saying Rino Romano was best.
It's a debate no one can win.
To be fair, I feel Josh is good for a younger Spidey, while Rino's more suited for an adult Spidey.
I can live with that.
I do tend to picture a younger Spidey so that might be where I'm coming from on this.
>and everyone with the same line backer physique felt off putting.
Even Black Cat was fucking built in this show.
Doc Ock was fucking ridiculous too.
Even Jameson looked kinda buff in his suit.
I actually liked this show, I thought the story arcs were great and the Spider-Man portrayal was pretty good. The censorship’s bogs the show the fuck down though, and the animation is really lazy, but I usually give 90s shows animation some leniency because it was the 90s .
>We never got a Spider-Man TAS version of She-Venom
Were we just put on this earth to suffer?
>Aged like fucking milk
It turned into cheese?
Previously on Spiderman
>Even Black Cat was fucking built in this show.
>this is a bad thing
All I can say for venom was the mix of red and blue highlights was a neat idea
Like sale's Catwoman
Neither really makes sense for a thief character, but dammit if they don't turn me on
I suppose it's because Ann was barely a footnote in the comics when the show started airing, only being brought back (and becoming She-Venom) a year or two after it started.
Doc Ock was supposed to be Arnold, right? That's why. I always thought he looked cooler in the show, but looking back it's pretty silly too.
She's so sexy tho
Spider-Man himself carries the show almosy singlehandedly, but I think some of the people saying it's awful or unwatchable are just reacting to how much it got overhyped back in the day. It's no Spectacular but it isn't bad.
>I feel Josh is good for a younger Spidey
He can do adult Spidey fine. He does voice Hal Jordan and Shiro, after all.
>SINS OF THE FATHER XXIV
>i hope mary jane can forgive me for skipping out on our date
>spider sense!
>someone is shooting really loud laser beams at the bank!
>it's a spider slayer!
>SHOULDER TACKLE
>it's a trap
>BOOM BLAM BOW CRASH
>spider sense is going crazy!
>SHOULDER TACKLE
>time to take this fight back to the kingpin's lair
>BOOM BAMM KAKAKRASH
>hey tubby how's the bacon shakin'
>foolish insect 95% of my body is pure muscle
>SHOULDER TACKLE
>PEW PEW BOOOOOOOOOM
>wow, looks like i escaped just in time but all the villains vanished
>oh well, i better head home
>peter parker, i stayed at that restaurant waiting for you for an hour!
>sorry mj something came up
>well peter that's a mistake i won't be making a second time
>...
>SHOULDER TACKLE
>[ending credits]
goddamnit, that looks like a perfect formula for every episode except crossover ones.
SHOCKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
This cartoon was the best shit ever when I was in grade school. Tried to rewatch it as an adult, yeah, it's shit.
>how overly censored the show was
Morbius sucking the blood with his palms was somehow creepier than traditional vampires.
It would make for a great drinking game though.
>like Venom's, looking off
Well, like someone else said they did that weird red/blue tint thing which was kind of cool looking, but then they also made his eyes look like snake eyes, gave him a forked snake tongue, and gave him a Donkey Kong mouth with fish lips and an ass crack on his head.....so yeah, I'd say he looked "off
It's not bad, but it's accurate to her character.
*not
Unfortunately the only thing I remember about this show was when Spiderman was fighting the Spot and he learned how to use his portals against him and hit him in the face, uttering "That hit the Spot!"
It looks kind of like he's some sort of frog man.
HOW ABOUT WE FOLLOW THIS THREAD TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH?!
I disagree with a lot of posters here on this show. The art isn't the best but it has a lot of heart. I love the pacing too. They manage to make it feel like a comic book and the amount of villains and plots all taking place in a single episode is great. It's written like you're on a roller coaster which is exactly what it should feel like as Spider-man. The sense of drama created by his double life is also well portrayed.
I went in expecting to hate it because of the threads I'd read here about nostalgia and how it didn't live up but in reality it held up better. I don't think shows have this level of focus anymore. The script is tight because it doesn't waste a second of time. Just always on the move. It also makes great use of IPs and has reoccuring characters that make sense. I love how often Peter is making use of connections he made in previous episodes.
Solid show. Don't take it for granted.
You're the diaperman eating that babyshit up
...
GET BACK HERE SHOCKER
Spider-Man's web in particular looked really good and had a really satisfying sound effect.
If you think the pacing in this show is fast and ADHD-like, try watching Ultimate Spider-Man.
I was never bothered by the Biologist Graduate Student calling what he was was drinking Plasma because fuck it, why not be specific.
But they say blood several times in the theme song.
>tfw we can't have older peter anymore
>tfw we can't have his voice actor again
>tfw we can't have that black cat
Teenaged Spider-Man is not interesting to me at all. I don't know why every show since the 90s series focuses on that age
When the Spider-Man 90s cartoon came out, weren't Spider-Man comics actually selling quite well? Maybe since literally no kids read comics these days, they feel like they need to establish an origin for the character everytime they do a new show for new kids
Wasn't implying it was a bad thing.
To be fair that picture is from Long Hallloween which continuity wise succeeds Frank Miller's Batman: Year One. And in Year One, Selina Kyle was raised on the rough streets of Gotham and worked as a dominatrix. Basically a pretty tough gal. So for that particular version of Catwoman it could be argued that it would be fitting for her to have a build like that.
But yeah I thought she was so hot when reading Long Halloween as a teen.
Laserguns.
Is this show good?
>i hope mary jane can forgive me for skipping out on our date
>>hey tubby how's the bacon shakin'
>>foolish insect 95% of my body is pure muscle
Dammit, this shit got me!
>like it has ADHD
capeshit in general is known for having ADHD pacing
I could hear the sound effects
But that Black Cat had the super soldier serum. That scene were she transform ...activated some peoples fetish
And Morbius is a goddamm nerd who autistically says which part of blood his vampirism has him thirsting for.
I'm so sick of him being a little boy for 50 years.
Everyone has a different response when they see it, I think. Give it a watch and see if you like it.
