Why don't you just rob someone's house or mug some little old lady and use that to watch the movie. It's the same thing as pirating.

im not condoning that and i generally wouldn't do this but the movie had a limited release and no theaters in my area are showing it. I would just like something to watch tonight

Just came back from this movie, I think it's Wes Anderson's best. Definitely tied with Grand Budapest Hotel.
I need to watch Fantastic Mr.Fox now.

i was really looking forward to seeing IOD all month and the release date finally rolled around and there were no theaters around, really disappointing

Glad to hear someone enjoyed it.
budapest and mr fox are my favorite wes anderson films.

It was fantastic. I thought that the symmetry was way overdone in this but otherwise the animation was really good, the humor better than ever, and it has a lot of heartfelt moments mixed in as well, pretty good soundtrack as well.

I find it strange that it's a movie only shown in select theaters. Did Regal really not play the movie as much? I find it hard to believe, it doesn't even strike me as an indie movie deserving the treatment of having special selected theaters.
Same with Annihilation. The hell is happening to the movie theater?

Is there any style of animation more kino than stop motion

in my area i don't have regal only mjr and amc. i didn't think it was getting a limited release either and i was surprised. i was however able to see annihilation in theaters though

What did you think of the royal tenenbaums? I thought it was kind of boring and stopped probably two thirds into it.

If you really love Wes Anderson (or cinema in general for that matter) you would pay to see his movies in a theater.

FMF was the only movie of his I watched all the way through more than once. It might be the only one I watched even once all the way through.

i was able to watch that recently in a theater actually; with that being said I've only seen it once.

an interesting movie and kind of a weird turn, not my favorite but i would like to see it maybe once more.

admittedly i find myself watching wes anderson movies more for the cinematography and stylization than i would for the story alone. i like how each shot is meticulously crafted.

grand budapest and mr fox are movies i could watch time and time again based on the film as a whole. other wes anderson films (moonrise, tenebaums, life aquatic, darjeeling) I've seen was more of a watch to study anderson's direction and styling.

>decide I might want to check this movie out
>find out the only theater showing it anywhere near me is at The Charles Theater in Baltimore

It's like they don't want people to watch it.

i wish i would've thought of that

thats my situation, I've been waiting for this movie to come out all year and the closest theater is a few hours away

best boy

The weather is supposed to be pretty nice ths coming Saturday and there is a theater a few blocks away from Metro Center in DC so maybe I'll take the subway. It's farther away than Baltimore but at least I won't have to go into Baltimore.
