And yet it is still by far the best media player out there which really is just a very sad statement.

Works fine for me but my only gripe is that dragging the cursor forward/backward to rewind or FF is jerky and depending on the file type, you can’t sometimes can’t see where in the movie to stop.

There's not much of an issue now, unless you want super high fidelity upscaling, in which case mpv is more suited for you
