I will say that Blade Runner was more disappointing than Alien. They should have completely scrapped any relation to Dick’s book to absolve it.

Alien has more relatable and likable characters. The more simplistic plot makes it easier to be drawn into the events of the movie, whereas Blade Runner is a more detached experience. It's not like you should skip either, but Alien is the better and better-written movie.

Look at the “retiring” scenes, Batty and Tyrell, the opening voight kampff test, Deckard and Rachael in the former’s apartment, etc...
Whenever character’s are moving or not stationary in a tight close-up the scene is ugly as fuck.
Cinematography is a broad concept and is hard to pull off.
