"Ground game" seems like a meme to me. Outside of getting people registered and that sort of logistical stuff, it seems worthless. Hillary has 18 bajillion campaign offices but less volunteers/volunteer hours than Trump. Also, the GOP has improved it's logistics a LOT since 2012, which was a major failing of Romney's bid for the White House.
