Best trailer of the MCU gave us the worst movie of the MCU
youtube.com
Kino coming through.
This actually true.
Anyone who made those Trailers, did it very well.
The 3 trailers are pure Kino.
The Second trailer from The Dark Knight Rises
Was Kino.
The hype was real
youtube.com
Pretty much all you need to know about the movie.
APOLOGIZE GEORGE LUCAS.

It's difficult for me to name a better trailer than this in recent memory.
greatest teaser for a terrible film
I got you, bro.
>when Friction syncs up with the MI a theme
God please let this be good.
>be teenage fag and watch epIII in theaters.
>confuse as fuck
>grow up, learn history
>Julius Caesar, Ides of March
>watch ep III again
>it all makes sense
I'm so sorry Mr. Lucas, the prequels were coherent as fuck.
All of the trailers for this film were pure kino.
youtube.com
>tfw sequels never ever
pure kino
Absolutely patrician taste.
got chills from this when i first saw it in the theater. too bad the movie sucked.
Wait, was this really released before hand? Shit a lot of that stuff was spoilrs
>the movie sucked
The fuck you're talking about? It was neonoir kino.
This made me more excited for a movie than I ever was, and it lived up to the hype for me
the fuck is this movie about?
I never read the books.
teaser is better, but the part at 1:30-1:48 in the longer trailer should have been included tbqh desu. I love condensed confusion and paranoia scene like this.

>release 2 and a half hour movie with 3 full blown rape scenes on Christmas
The absolute madman.
This is hilarious now with the 90's trailer guy voice and unfinished CGI and obvious hobbling together of the only footage presentable but you young anons have no idea what it was like seeing this in the theater.
It has two parallel stories
>aspie goth hacker girl (Mara) with a fucked up childhood works as an investigator gathering information on people
>Craig is a pretty good investigative journalist who is called up by a rich old Swedish businessman to try to solve the disappearance of his granddaughter
>1/3rd through the movie they meet and she helps him try and solve the case
Also, there's a lot of rape involved. It's similar to other crime thrillers by Fincher like Zodiac.

>Here I am again.
Orlando. Epic trailer with epic music. Made me excited for the book.
Read the book. Watched the film. The film was a disappointment.
Definitely do read the book. It is one of the most epic novels of all time.
Just watch it.
So basically, the books are good only for the rape thing and the goth hacker girl, right?
we have a winner

Dark Knight number 2
The first one is a genuinely good crime thriller. I liked the way the main characters were set up and how their stories intertwined. Lisbeth is a great protagonist in that one.
The others aren't that good. I guess they're still fun, but Lisbeth becomes a total Mary Sue. The plotlines also turn out to be quite ridiculous. The relationship between the two main characters, which was one of the most interesting things about the first book, gets put aside. Also, the authors more liberal views come out full force.
Pretty much all PTA movies have great trailers:
Well, thanks for your reply.
I probably see the movie.
I always want to start one of these threads because this trailer IMO is a perfect example of a awesome trailer, for a dogshit movie.
HOLY SHIT i watched this movie on lsd when it was on TCM and had no idea wtf it was, thanks for reminding me friendo
PTA cuts his trailers himself

eerie as fuck song
This is incredible. What kind of person wouldn't go see this movie after that trailer?
Enlisted after 9/11 because of this movie.
>killing people because of hype
noice
Joined as an 11B and made it to Range 19. Was fun while it lasted
I don't know what to say other than that's really sad and your parents seriously failed you.
I'm a been there done that kinda guy. Can you say the same?
Sounds like you're saying you're proud to be a dipshit and asking if I am too. The answer is no.
You sound weak desu senpai
Oh no, the neckbeard hippie is mad.
Wait a minute you take drugs and watch cable television? That's so badass heh heh.
Tfw this movie made me forever associate The Immigrant Song with violent rape
This trailer is ABSOLUTE KINO for a very specific reason. Watch the trailer then read the spoiler:

MOVIE SPOILER:
Channing Tatum dies in the first like half hour of the movie but you could never tell by watching just the trailer
Its a pretty good movie btw
Without a doubt the best trailer ever made
youtube.com
Particularly because almost none of the scenes were in the final movie, so its like looking at a different take of the same story, and nothing gets burned into your head like pic related.
how can one man be so based?
This was such a great movie
>almost ten years old
I remember relating every shot of this trailer to my friends at soccer practice after school
Not a big fan of this one, it's too rapid, I know it's trying to go with the music but it's just gimmicky and too forced
they really fucked up killing off cranston in the first act
Just like Kingsman 2 huh
Channig tatum is such a fucking cocktease
all this trailer makes me think about is Sup Forums bitching about a female protagonist
also LMAO @ mark's face at the end
Thats Kojihack tier desu
youtube.com
this was hype back in high school. biggest let down ever, more so than the prequels.
teaser is better
Jesus, he didn't even use a full stop.
I can't express how excited i was after watching this for the first time m.youtube.com
this is the shot that got me the most hyped, for whatever reason.
my fucking sides
Amy literally seething
this email exchange has aged so fucking well and is funnier to me now than it was when they first leaked. Now it has the added punchlines of Adam Driver being the best part of the new Star Wars movies by far and Fincher being asked by Kathleen Kennedy to do one of the sequels (IIRC her shortlist was JJ, Brad Bird, and Fincher) and saying no because he didn't want to deal with Star Wars fans
>America Online Keyword: Lord of the Rings
>that random two second shot of Rohan
>teaser for three movies in one trailer
>that bizarre tagline, "You find adventure or adventure will find you"
Thanks for posting this, neat little time capsule. I was like eight when Fellowship first hit theaters so I hadn't seen it. The hype must have been insane
Return of the King's trailer is the single greatest movie trailer and has aged like a fine fucking wine:
youtube.com
I actually own the film reel of this trailer but have nothing to play it on so it's just one of those pieces of "memorabilia" I'll have that is valuable for its personal meaning to me, which I think is greater than any rare collector's item
I know a lot of la/tv/erians hate this movie, and I understand their point about it been sorta aimless, but it has a beautiful soundtrack and the you can tell the directors had a good time making the movie, I for one love it even though is not even a fraction as good as the movie.
It's a great trailer but I think the Two Towers is better.
youtube.com
>that orchestral version of Requiem for a Dream
Iconic. It's seared into my adolescent brain
You must have an IQ of like 7
true the 2nd half of that trailer is god-tier but I just think the first half is too... unfocused I guess? Whereas Return of the King knows what it's doing from the start and is edited and paced beautifully.
