I'll never forget this movie. I was in a bad place in my life. Not feeling good. I decide to watch this movie, remembered the trailers looking neato back when I was younger.
So I order some chicken from this pricey place to eat while I watch, as a hermit does. It's NYC so theres that tax on everything and a delivery fee so the chicken was like, 20 bucks, but I think why not the reviews are good and I haven't had chicken for awhile.
So I'm watching this movie. It's ok. Neat idea, neat setting. Looks really burnt and grimey and sad, the movie did. I started eating the chicken, and I swear. It tasted the way this movie looked. Like this chicken, this fucking 20 dollar chicken, just tasted exactly like the mood of the movie. It tasted exactly how the movie looked. Dead and burnt and grimey and sad. There were bones all in it I didn't expect to find, the spices tasted angry, it smelled weird. It was like, I don't know. It was too much meaty smell. I'm a carnivore but it tasted sinful, I dont know how else to describe it. Im watching the movie, watching some burlap sacks flopping about in dresden, and all I can smell is this fucking chicken, like it was in the movie stewing in the sun on the side of the road covered in rubble filled with tiny crunchy bones.
I finished the movie but not the chicken. Movie was alright, a bit derivative considering the novelty of the setting.
