kino of the year right here
Kino of the year right here
Beenoe of the deer right, queer?
HE WAS A LORD OF ENGLAND
I really, really enjoyed the first episode. Haven’t seen the second one yet.
You shills are really going all out on this one, huh?
...
literally nothing happened in the entire first episode
it's not built any kind of premise to make me bother continue watching
no, kino of the year is counterpart. this has been pretty good so far though
I’m surprised they showed the demon polar bear so early on.
RELEASE THE LEAKS GODDAMMIT YOU FUCKING DOUBLE LEASING FAGGOTS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
So who has the rips of the rest of the eps?
I've only seen the first couple episodes but naturally a story like this is not going to really get going until later. I like the tension between the captain and his first mate.
>Guy has spooky ilness
>Guy has spooky vision
>Other guy has even spookier vision
>Tension between the captains and officers
>Ships get stuck in the ice and nobody can escape
>literally nothing happened in the entire first episode
Ok then.
please don't reply to mouth breathers.
what were those two guys doing in the ship's hold alone?
sodomy
shit tier flik
Every bump helps.
Trading Pokemon.
Why'd they leave the soccer ball so far away from the ship?
>19th century setting
>seasoned British cast
>horror
>homoeroticism
spoilers dude
most boring show I have ever seen
The captain had a strange look on his face when he watched them play. He probably hates football and had a "no footballs inside 50 meters from my ships" policy.
Watch Mad Men.
>imagine being this much of a brainlet
I fucking hate that hack Ridley Scott so I don't know if I even want to watch this, cause I really enjoy the book.
I can already tell that it would be better without the magical monster bear.
This, we need more spooky shows set in the 19th century. That era is perfect for that sort genre.
That one dude is a hell of a good shot with a rifle
>Based on true events

He was a marine.
Anyone else thought they were going to gangbang the innuit girl?
Where are the rest of the episodes?
Girl? Looks like an old woman.
She was his daughter she was 30 at most
Only the two are out currently, they did a back to back premiere thing but Sup Forums got my hopes up too, I was planning to marathon it today. Great show so far though, really glad I stumbled on it
Damn, same here. Had snacks for it and everything.
How does the narrative work in the show? Does it bounce back and forth between past and present like the book?
it took 45 mins to show what could have been done in 15
it's a case of stretching material across an unnecessarily long time for no benefit other than to make it a 10 part series
if you can't see that you're the brainlet
How did this show get made in current year?
Scott is an executive producer and helped get the deal at AMC, but David Kajganich developed it and is the showrunner, and all the episodes are directed by three or four people, none of which is Ridley.
>Having ADD
It has eskimo POC
there's been some of that yeah
just watch it on 1.5x speed, brah!
Fucking this.
>majority of cast is white
>majority of environment is white
offensive af
It will be dropped because women won’t watch it
Musket.

full season when ?
FIRST ONE TO FIND A WEAKNESS IN THE ICE GETS TO STAY ON MY WATER BOAT
because the minority of releases that trigger Sup Forums get blown out of proportion and memed to shit here when it reality the actual industry isn't as ubiquitously forcing multi racial casts as this board likes to make out
>AMC Just Made Another Show About Straight, Old White Men and Here's Why That's a Bad Thing
>oh boy its the white people explore the world and adventure show again!
I'd be 100x more invested in if we'd follow the african conquests of middle-east and americas, not even memeing. Whitewashing makes me yawn too hard
Be warned, leftypol discord faggots are raiding
39 years old. She was described as young woman in the book.
Holy shit, that's literally what one of the nicest guys from my university said during class discussion, he even got a few taps on his back on the way out from these girls, propably his crushes that will never see him other than that ally from uni, my mind is literally blown
They had rifles by the mid 19th century. Rifling is etching a groove pattern into the barrel to give a bullet a spin that gives them a more stable projectile path as it travels through the air. I can't figure out which guns they had on the expedition but if they had advanced ships they probably were also equipped with rifles.
#Diversityisfine
#fuckwhitepeople
this has to be a troll
Brown Bess smoothbore?
hurr shills durr... the book was quite good and believe it or not but there are people out there who actually enjoy this show.
That's a big bear
Kek, sure thing schlomo. 90% of commericials have mixed race couples and mutt kids
No I'm thinking of the Baker or Brunswick rifles
Indeed.
In the book there were only muskets and shotguns.
It started well but on the second episode I lost interest when those eskimos came. Having a local non-white woman bow down to the conqering (colonizing even) whites in an instant and one man immediately speaking her language. I dont want to sound whiny but i felt i've seen this already too many times, next we kniw she is together with that one officer
A musket can be a rifle
It's only one season.
imagine thinking this was such slam dunk proof that you spam it endlessly for an entire week
Can we talk about how good this show looks?
c'mon, dude. It's not ubiquitous! Interracial couples are only over-represented with a frequency of around 60x of what you find in real world populations.
I'd want to wear sunglasses too. Snow too bright.
it looks awesome. the diving scene was absolute kinography. i also like the rather minimalistic audio.
Sure, if you post better screenshots than this yifyan shitfest
Yeah, this. From the trailers I thought the show would be fine but look abysmal (since the trailers had that awful blue tint to everything). What do I know - the episodes themselves look fucking stunning.
Nah the bitch put a curse on them whitey about to be btfo
>skim trough the cast on imdb
>no niggers
is this the white whale of modern television?
IIRC, in the book they all wore horizontally striped sunglasses all the time outside. Would look silly in the show, I suppose.
imagine being this much of a faggot
This is so cringeworthy
The true Terror is the lack of diversity
absolutely lovecraftian
>lots of great british actors
>sort of period piece
>horror elements
Not going to lie it hits all the shit I like. Loving it so far.
>and one man immediately speaking her language.
They got dictionaries and stuff, their language wasn't unknown
Sounds intriguing mr astroturf, let's check out the trailer!
This looks interesting
>from Ridley Scott
Oh no..
>based on true events
No no no
>woman lectures room full of men in 18th century
...
Pass.
It would be great if there was a show about the Scramble of Africa that was unapologetically Eurocentric and made it clear that Africans were savages that the Europeans tried to civilise and also make them ban slavery.
Boring shows like this are only good if you're on xanax or shit like that.
>1366x768
>somehow still full of artifacts
WILL YOU PLEASE DOWNLOAD GOOD RELEASES FOR FUCK'S SAKE
Its almost bald and with fingers, I think it will be true eldritch abomination, not just a simple polar bear.
Thank goodness. Polar expedition stories are the best. Now I'm waiting for something less fictional.
where are the rest of the episodes reeeeeeeeee
>in the frozen Arctic thousands of mile from civilization
>ships get stuck in the ice
>stuck there for years on end dealing with dwindling supplies, disease, and one another
You know what this needs? Some drama. Add a monster so the braindead millennials will stay awake. I wish they made this show for adults instead.
>Having a local non-white woman bow down to the conqering (colonizing even) whites in an instant and one man immediately speaking her language.
Canadian colonial history is considerably different from American colonial history. British relations with Indians were considerably more cooperative and the Hudson's Bay Company was active in the area, setting up trade routes and posts. The Eskimos were likely to speak some English, and some of the expedition likewise
Netflix spoiled me. I instinctively expected everything at once.
There’s something really off about this show. Maybe it’s because it doesn’t instantly have a strong protag that we can follow and they few characters we learn of are bare bones and don’t have strong personalities at the moment. Also, the production is impressive but it does feel like they’re on a set sometimes. They could have done more with the cinematography to convey the vastness of their surroundings.
>episode one
>"I'm a veteran. I was on artic expeditions before!"
>user browses tranny porn on his phone
>episode two
>[speaks eskimo]
>???one man immediately speaking her language??? better go complain on the internet
