Movies you saw as a kid that you watched as an adult and realized it was fucking kino?
Movies you saw as a kid that you watched as an adult and realized it was fucking kino?
Also, OP here, the Bayhem is strong in this movie, maybe the only part I didn't like. Once they turn the dial to ten it doesn't let up at all until the very last minute of the movie.
"BECAUSE I'M A GENIUS!"
- fellow teenager
This movie is fucking amazing and it's proof even back then the critics were hacks and kikes.
The return of the dubs
Small soldiers
Deep Impact and Core were way better.
one of the best presidential speeches in movie history
I haven't seen either in a long time, but no way The Core could be better.
"He's got space dementia!" is one of the best lines of the movie.
I'm always amazed at the solid cast they got for that.
The Core sucks
>We need a C-list white guy with an accent, who looks sorta-weird, for our Russian cosmonaut char-
>I've already got Peter Stormare on the phone, Mister Bay
>Good, I like it when things are done. Now let's start graphing out our next action sequence.
Also features best song by Aerosmith since 'Dream On', ahh, I need to watch this again...
>You will never run an animal cracker over Liv Tyler's tummy and cleavage
What is the point in living?
Did critics not like this? What the hell is there not to like? Seriously. I mean, the science is all wrong and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to send miners to space, but this movie is not about hard sci-fi, it's about a fucking amazing cast of characters faced with insurmountable odds and how it affects them and how they deal with it. Fuck a critic who gave this a bad review.
Pure 90's kino
I think this was my sexual awakening. Seriously, I think this was my "first boner seeing a movie" moment.
Oh my god, it was. To this day Black hair, blue eyes, pale skin is my perfect woman. Liv Tyler jump started my sexuality.
If you think about it Bay could have called this 'The Rock' instead and it would have worked
>looks closer at the poster
>screenplay by JJ ABRAMS
why am I not surprised?
Holy shit. I knew he was a screenwriter in Hollywood before LOST, but I had no idea he worked on this.
>We need to drill an hole in space, what we must do: teach astronauts to drill hole or teach hole drillers how to be astronauts?
This movie is stupid
If they had to fly the ship, I would agree with you, but all they had to do was operate the drill, which they were experts on. Both vessels had trained pilots.
What about moving in space without feeling sick? Resisting the rocket acceleration? Moving in absence of gravity?
I liked this movie when I was a child, but it doesn't stand the time of reason.
The only decent films of MB are the ninja turtles one. It's my opinion, I don't want to start a flame for now
You're entitled to your opinion for sure. The science makes no sense, that's true. It's the characters that make the film, in my opinion.
>"Just shut the fuck up Ben"
-Michael Bay
The asteroid of the flick is smarter than the screenplay.
I'm embarrassed to say that my moment was in Lion King.
Only good answer ITT. It was truly ahead of its time.
They didn't have an ensemble cast singing Leaving on a Jet Plane so they're automatically worse.
>I DON'T WANNA CLOSE MUH EYES
As a kid, I absolutely loved that movie. It's like if Toy Story was told from Sid's perspective. Great movie.
rewatching now, within the first 10 minutes a woman introduces herself as Ms. Kegal. It was a different time...
