So does no one actually feel like discussing Thor Ragnarok?

So does no one actually feel like discussing Thor Ragnarok?
I mean I found it to be incredibly mediocre, but I expect Sup Forums to have at least one thread about itN

nobody wants to discuss it because it was mediocre

That's fair, but I kind of expected shitposting based on its mediocrity/shittiness
Is it just that forgettable?

It's been discussed to death all week.

Did europoors get it before murrica again?

Usually horrible movies have way more threads, since it is more fun to shit on them.

There was just a 500+ post thread that fell of the board

yes
tnx neoliberalism

I enjoyed Guardians of the galaxy 2 and Wonder Woman but hated homecoming, I would like this movie?

>Mediocre
>I don't actually have anything to say and/or haven't actually seen the movie, so I'll say the worst thing I can think of without risk of getting called out

Yes, it was a pretty good ride

we had a thread today, hopefully that means mods are doing their jobs and keeping the clutter off

anyway I really enjoyed it, probably top 5 MCU for me

>GOTG
>GOTGv2
>Thor 3
>Iron Man 1
>Cap 1

Thor definitely has the weirdest fucking trilogy of any capeshit character

I quite dug it. The Led Zep climax was fucking great.

Odin's death was absurdly bad and the CGI in that scene was horrible
Some of the costume designed looked worse than cosplay, like Goldblum's clothes (also I swear to Christ Skurge's head tattoos were totally uneven in one scene)
The lightning CGI was also underwhelming as fuck
I have literally never felt less emotionally invested during the finale of an MCU movie. Seriously, I felt more emotionally invested during the finale of Thor 1.

That being said, the jokes that did land were pretty good, there were some decent action scenes like Thor vs Surtur and Thor vs Hulk. Cate Blanchett as Hela was sexy as fuck.

They tried too hard to be funny, which results in a lack of weight to most of the world shake ups that happen in this installment. Its better than The Dark World, but again it doesn't really feel "Thor". This is not to say that I didn't have a good time, but 3 big things circle my mind after viewing it
>Why wasn't Surtur the main threat?
>Why couldn't Beta Ray Bill be introduced in this story?
>What was the point of adding Skurge when all he amounts to is a pathetic warrior who mans up last minute?

Thor's finale was pretty emotional, didn't notice Loki tearing up the first time.

Tom Hiddleston actually gave a shit in that movie.

Did he stand alone?
Was that will done?

worst MCU movie ever, even worse than spiderman

Oh god no.
The Warriors Three get it even worse though.

Here's a rundown of what Skurge is in the movie:
>A warrior desperately looking of recognition, assigned to guard the Bifrost
>Uses Bifrost to collect a shit ton of junk and impress chicks. Notable items include 2 AK's he calls De and Stroy, and a shake weight.
>Joins Hela because hes a scared bitch
>Constant incompetence
>During the final battle, Skruge hides among the refugees entering a space ship
>Last minute decides to be a hero, and starts fighting the undead Asgardians

You forgot two things: They were M16's, not AKs, and Hela one shots him.

There's honestlt not much to discuss.

While it was enjoyable throughout it was too long and yet barely anything happened. The comedy was mostly miss but threw out enough jokes that it was funny. Most of the characters could easily have been written out.

It's the very definition if enjoyable fluff and no one will remember a damned thing about it.

It should've been two movies

Skurge didn't die to die like a bitch, what the fuck were they thinking?

Also how generally uncomfortable he was with being Hela's executioner. Especially when it seemed he was going to have to behead a random woman.

I think that stems from the Marvel movies being heavily family oriented and the idea of an executioner having a last minute change of heart didn't sit well with their writers

>die like a bitch

Except he didn't? He died defending his people against an unstoppable monster.

I will give you thors death being shit ob ious green screen stuff, maybe it would have looked better in 3d but the rest of the movie was gold

i know it's thor's movie, but i was expecting a bigger character arc for banner/hulk. maybe theyre saving it for inifinty war.

>Why wasn't Surtur the main threat?
Hard to make a giant CGI monster carry a whole movie, which I guess is why they used him like they did.
>Why couldn't Beta Ray Bill be introduced in this story?
No real reason to.
>What was the point of adding Skurge when all he amounts to is a pathetic warrior who mans up last minute?
I mean that's pretty much how it was in the comics too, he just had years of appearances prior.

What you should be asking is
>Why did the Warriors Three job so fucking hard?
>Where the hell is Sif?

He was directly responsible for the Asgardian race surviving.

I love how they gave enough of a shit to mention Sif in that fake play, but not enough to actually put her in the movie.

At this rate thor rotten tomatoes score will be
>92% approval
>7.5 average rating
exaclty like wonder woman and spiderman, wtf is going on?
youtube.com/watch?v=Ssnw2GA657s

>have literal faggot in my fb friends list
>he loves every single Marvel movie
>bashes literally every DC movie for being shit
>loves everything MCU

him wearing graphic T's is just the icing on the cake but goddamn

Some movies are just too forgettable for shitposting.

>Hard to make a giant CGI monster carry a whole movie
And somehow The Hobbit and Justice League did that. Weird.
>No reason to
Debatable, but he would have better better than The Hulk. Don't get me wrong, I glad he's finally gotten some character development and it sucks that he can't get a solo movie, but his role arguably makes more sense for Bill.
>Heavy alien meets fantasy theme
>Bill was also an arena gladiator
>Asgard's exodus is VERY similar to Korbin, and would be appropriate if Bill's ship was the one to save the day
>Thor would be hammer envious of Bill, and Bill could have offered Stormbreaker to him to help his people at the end which of course he would deny.
But no, people were too Planet Hulk thirsty

>And somehow The Hobbit and Justice League did that
What fucking parallel universe are you from?

The Hobbit movies are shit. We all know Justice League is going to be shit.

I liked the movie, but I was disappointed with Hela. Ego and Toomes are easily two of the best Marvel villains, but Hela's pretty generic. She's got style, but she's just an acceptable villain.

>And somehow The Hobbit and Justice League did that. Weird.
Yeah and they suck
> Bill makes more sense
He's too confusing for the normies

> Why did the Warriots Three job so fucking hard ?
Waititi's way to tell the audience he hated the two previous Thor movies
> Sif
Probably an Agent of Shit episode.

I can go on a rant about how mad I am that Volstagg died like a fucking bitch without even putting up a fight, but I just calmed down and don't want to get all angry again.

The Warriors Three in MCU were the symbols of how much Thor 1 sucked so they barely used them in Thor 2 (and recast one without you even noticing, that's how much you care) and then killed them off in Thor 3 because Thor 2 wasn't different enough from Thor 1.

bigger version

>were symbols of how much Thor 1 sucked
That's not Jane, Darcy, and Selvig

I guess you're right, but I really like Ray Stevenson and I'm always sad when his characters get anti-climactically wasted.

Azogg or whatever the hell that Orc's name was and Steppenwolf were entirely CGI
Oh don't misunderstand, I'm not defending completely CGI antagonists (because practical effects are great), I'm just pointing out theres a precedent for it, and arguably would have been the route they would go for Surtur. Also I don't know how Bill is any more ridiculous than some of the other shit they've introduced

just got back from the cinema. i do believe that this is Marvel's best movie yet. the haters are just salt dcucks so ignore the bullshit. Very enjoyable flick which is something you cant say for anything in the dceu.

DCucks have truly become angry bitter trolls kek

truly this was a kino film.
also
>dat ost when god of thunder punished thor
anyone got a link?

>He thinks Justice League won't be kino
>He thinks Ego was a great villain
Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present the Disney target audience...

it's because the movie was good. dcucks are hiding in their caves hoping the jews pay for good reviews for the shitfest that will be JL.

Samefag

t. Salty D'cuck

...

I'm not salty and I'm looking fwd to seeing Thor 3 tmw w/ my buddies and my girl
Don't try to deflect from your shit taste in villains and inability to forecast, my good brainlet

Dumb Phoneposter

And the Sup Forums monkeys came in to shit up the thread. I thought we'd last at least 100 posts before that would happen.

>Azogg or whatever the hell that Orc's name was and Steppenwolf were entirely CGI
I'm not ragging on CGI, I'm saying Surtur's very nature makes it hard to make him a compelling primary antagonist. He'd have to have underlings fighting Thor for most of the movie until his full power was unleashed at the end.

The Hobbit is a good comparison because Smaug (the Surtur figure here) is the big antagonist but he doesn't appear until the end and doesn't even take part in the final battle. So for the movie they had to glorify an unimportant Orc to dog them for the duration of the adventure.

It's exactly like Guardians 2 with even more attempts at humour. Most of it consists of people being flung around and hitting the ground in various slapstick ways (or just falling over from being too drunk to stand or by hitting themselves in the face with a dodgeball), Thor getting electrocuted, Thor trying to calm banner down with "Sun is getting low" and people like Korg or Surtur stating the obvious or explaining where their weakpoints are and what they will eventually do. Because every joke is repeated at least 5 times this becomes as tedious as it was in Guardians 2. With the exception that scenes that would have been emotional if they kept the tone from the first 2 movies get choked before that happens by having a joke shatter the mood.
The only good things in this movie are
1)mommyfu Hela as blatant Milf fapbait
2)Scrapper-142 as blatant tomboy fapbait
3)The soundtrack, when it goes full Tron/80's.

>admitting you're a phone poster
Get out.

>)The soundtrack, when it goes full Tron/80's.
Immigrant song...

In the first movie, Thor lost his hammer and lost his powers, his hammer was destroyed in this movie, but he still has powers, why? I haven't seen the 1st movie since it was released, so I probably forgot something.

In the first movie Odin took his powers until he was worthy of them. In this one Hela destroyed the hammer and it's reinforced that Thor's powers do not come from the hammer (fuck you Aaron). The situations are completely different.

Nah, had my fill of that with the trailer. I'm talking the actual score here.

it was pure shit

was it Beta Ray Bills statue head i sa when they were buildong hulks on or am i just being retarded

It was. There was also Ares, Man-Thing, and Bi-Beast. I didn't get a good look at the bottom left though.

They discussed teh fuck outta Wonder Woman though and that was mediocre as hell.

Who discusses the plot of a comedy?

WW gets slack for being both the first decent female cape movie as well as the first decent DC movie since TDK.

So, does this mean he's Hulked out forever?

The way he transformed, it looked like Banner died so (in reference to the earlier conversation) it looked like he just stepped out of the car completely instead of driving it together with Hulk.

Whats the song used in the international trailer?

Get Help!

That would probably be the greatest bit of dark comedy Marvel has ever accomplished if true.

He's used to splattering only for Hulk to show up dramatically a moment later. At least this time he didn't go through the pavement.

Holy shit, Azog was so fucking uncanny valley it was almost funny. Do not bring up the Hobbit as a good use of consistent CGI character.

Brazilians too!

The movie is fun, and the relantioship between Thor and Loki is great, also Hulk steals the scene.

That's tailor-made trailer music, a mix of Magic Sword - In the Face of Evil and Hi-Finesse - Omega.

>So does no one actually feel like discussing Thor Ragnarok?

You know it only just came out in the US. This sunday the topics will be all over the place.

fuck SJW Marvel! I want this Thor back!

He'll use Mantis to unleash ultra instict Hulk, also confirmed bromance with Rocket.

It's hard to say whether the trailer for this or Justice League was more cringy. Anyway, I wasn't wanting to cringe for a whole 2 hours so I won't bother.

It was okay. The majority of the jokes fell flat and undermined all of the tension. Kate Blanchet acted circles around anyone that wasn't Idris, Anthony, and Hiddleston; but I was underwhelmed by her character. Hela didn't feel as threatening as the other villains Thor has fought. Being really good at throwing knives didn't convince me to fear for the characters were trying to stop her.

I'm not sure if I missed something, but I didn't get that Odin had died until they said he was dead. I thought he used his magic to leave his sons at the cliff. I didn't see any indication that he was dying.

This movie committed a lot of the same sins as Ghostbusters 2016.

>Being really good at throwing knives didn't convince me to fear for the characters were trying to stop her.

This. She looked finger-licking good, but she was just kinda there.

Also:
>I am the GODDESS OF DEATH!
>Has exactly 0 death related powers, except using an artifact from Asgard's vault in the way it was probably intended to be used.
>gathers strength not through killing, but through the existence of Asgard alone
>Hel doesn't even exist

That'd be like saying I was the God of Sanitation because I wash my hands after taking a dump.

>Your mother is calling me...
>My time is coming to an end

God damn, he died out of nowhere.

I didn't.

she's pretty good at killing people. Like, overpoweredly good at killing. Like.... a god.

I know it was sarcasm, but I didn't expect him to go poof just like that, he didn't seem like he was dying on the spot. Just getting on a bit now.

So while Thor has actual lightning powers without any alien tech now, she is just the master of unsheathing.

Let her be Hela, Queen of Blades.

Well there you go, you're already most of the way there on the porn parody script.

>Brazillians and Europeans watching before muricans?
Why? Is there some soccer club supporting the movie?

>Hulk throwing Thor around the exact same way he did to Loki in Avengers

She has Unlimited Blade works while Thor's SSGSS couldn't make a dent on her

Plus the binding spell was written on the hammer which means it shattered to, so there's that. Not sure why the spell on the hammer would persist once the hammer was destroyed.

>Thor unlocking Odin Force

The whole thing felt like DBZ with the gradual build up of Thor legit winning against Hulk

Nah, Hulk is in the middle of his character arc as he meanders from movie to movie. This is so he can have dramas with Natasha in Infinity War.

I'm more curious since Fenrir shows up and actually bites Hulk until he bleeds, will we get a gamma eradicated FenrirHulk later on?

No? Pity.

She was unkilable too, Hogun stabs her all the way thru the chest and she doesn't even bleed, it seems the only way to kill her was destroying Asgard

>Cate Blanchett as Hela with messy hair was sexy as fuck
No worries friend. I fixed it for you

>Odinforce
What? When did this happen?
I just saw him go "oh yeah. I have lightning"

Also:
>Thorforce
