Hey play some hip hop
Hey play some hip hop
they think they still have to keep him around
nice thread on /v/, OP
GIMME SOME HIP HIP HOP
just realized this movie is essentially tim playing sam hyde irl
you gonna get no no tip
I fuked up. Waiting for mods to ban
I liked this movie though. That scene where he was watching that bich seizure out , and just sat there completely detached from reality. Fuck
it's a masterpiece and one of the few good films to come out from this decade
it was originally supposed to be five hours and an user apparently owned the script to the film. i emailed rick alverson without sperging out about any further releases of the film and if he still has a copy of the script, but he never replied. oh well.
movie sucked. there was no comedy, just attempts at comedy
t. genuine brainlet
tim's downfall, he couldn't top this and now is deep in a pit of shit
Would not call it a masterpiece. Cinematography was very amateurish, like barely trying and mumblecore was trendy at the time so it was not particularly innovative in terms of that. The writing was good though it is one of the few films to ever make me feel really angry. Now that i think about it they could rerelease it and call it "Yung Trump" which would be funny.
i'd rather be a brainlet than pretend a movie is funny for epic internet recognition, "did you see THAT guys post? he actually UNDERSTOOD a shit movie! hope to be him when I grow up"
i think about it they could rerelease it and call it "Yung Trump" which would be funny.
oh come on dude you didn't need to put that in
i don't think the cinematography was weak, in fact, i really liked it. sort of like a documentary. mumblecore is plain shit and is laziness, i think the whole film is above that.
DA TITLE OF DA MUBIE IS COMEDY SO WHERE IZ DA FUNNY
Rick Alverson makes purified kinography
I’m pretty sure he’s trolling at this point. I like how it basically summarizes a lot of the culture we inhabit now but Idk I’d id call it a masterpiece, definitely though provoking but just my opinion. What did y’all think of the ending though? It was heart warming seeing him play with the kid at the end .
what was the deal with him and his daughter?
I didnt have to put it in but i think Tim would agree desu. It was a good movie. I think i liked it less because the characters were so detestable. Which is actually a success in this case.
jeez you really didnt get the movie huh
were the critics right?
yes, precisely, how in the fuck are you this dense? It'd be like clicking a porn link called "hot teenagers" and it's just some 30something hag in pigtails. It's false advertising, wrong, incorrect, lying, despicable
In making this movie is Tim trying to imply he is not a man child hipster himself drawn to the same type of ironic humor that was done in this movie?
Was this scene kino?
Shitty art house try hard hipster core
live in NYC
gf has lots of hipster friends
once a month they do bad movie night to watch shit like birdermic and the room
I hate it but I love her so I have no choice
they ask me to bring a movie
I bring this and say nothing and tell them it stars Tim Heidecker
they say oh we love Tim ok lets watch
awkward silence for 2 hours and afterwards I can tell they are all stuck in deep thought reflecting on their own failed lives
get into huge fight with GF afterwards and she says I can't go to those nights anymore
I didn't like Entertainment as much but I did think the scene where he takes his mic stand and pretends it's an assault rifle and that he's shooting the audience was very funny.
i do not have, ehm, radio because i'm eh just a boy.
that sounds so fucking dumb to the point i can see current year Tim really doing it.
I think both Rick and Tim would appreciate that turn of events.
explain this to a brainet, is the point they're adults behaving like children?
All he did was sit on a boat eating shrimp, why is this praised?
Fuck I hope this is true
"Love this clip. Not sure exactly it's point but I view it as a representation of a generation that never had to grow up. The skyscrapers, symbols of human productivity, look down on these conceited Brooklyn hipsters who despite having money and education, contribute nothing to society. The music drives the sadness of this home. I'm not sure if Tim's character ever figures this out."
Copy pasted from one of the youtube comments but I feel the same way about it.
HE'S JUST A WOODEN BOY
i watched this movie years back and i dont remember how it ended
i think his dad died or something and he was bummed out about it but there was no great climax or resolution
find everything tim and eric do hilarious
nothing tim has done himself sparks any interest
Is it the combo or is tim a hack?
tim tends to take himself too seriously when on his own. eric on the other hand goes full artsy autismo. if they don't have a middle man like gregg or douggpound, they tend to just go all over the place. just watch some of their older interviews (pre Zone Theory)
