Last time:

-New pics
-Wine elf adventures continue
-Talked about the seasons girls
-Developed more of the Sup Forumsle plot (nearing the climax now)
-GG's Bullion design was worked on
-Momo, the ninja girl, color options
-Motion got a new stat card
-Discussed /tg/ OCs and what type of characters Sup Forums OCs would play in tabletop games
-Jetpack Viking got married (Jetpack Valkyrie in the OP), working on who she is as a character
-Other stuff I didn't mention

also towards the end, discussing Sup Forums and /tg/ characters if they were fightin gaem characters. It's like Capcom vs Marvel but more... 4channy.

...

Who is this

Jetpack Viking's wife is cute

Jetpack Valkyrie.

Jetpack Viking got married last thread apparently.

And they didn't invite anyone?

>always scowling

Only Jetpack Viking can tell the difference between a happy scowl and an angry scowl, and a loving scowl from a sad scowl.

We should probably stage a story or an "event" around it.

So what is her origin?

Yes.

I kinda assumed she's a member of whoever left the jetpack that fateful day. Maybe she takes arrives to take it back, only for Viking to prove his mastery of it.

...

Big Barda?

That jetpack had been sitting in that cave for a really long time strapped to that statue.

Her showing up a decade after someone puts it on to see what's up might work, but the Norse pantheon is kind of almost entirely dead in the /coc/ setting (Skathi was the only survivor), so it'd be odd if she was from there.

It really makes me want to see a plot line involving Skathi and Jetpack Viking with whatever connection they might have.

>Here I am on my wedding day >:(
>I was so happy >:(

Maybe we can have an isolated island of Jetpack people.

I was thinking maybe Jetpack Viking has a near death experience and that's when the valkyrie arrives to come collect him, only any divine power she had got stripped on arrival (low magic density Earth at the time) and she spends years looking for him as an almost mortal.

She made the jetpack because she missed flying (one of the powers striped)

Just imagine her face when she couldn't fly any more: >:(

And when she finally could once again: >:(

I think the jetpack was made before she showed up, like "ancient technology" similar to how ancient Egyptians have carvings of light bulbs predating the invention of them by several thousands of years.

So the jetpack is made, cast to Earth before the death of it's maker, Val finds it, puts it on, helps found Justice Sup Forumsmrades, has adventures, nearly gets killed at some point.

A valkyrie who had been tucked away somewhere, someplace safe and in stasis (frozen viking ship in space?), senses the "death" of someone worthy, wakes up and goes to collect, only the Norse pantheon is dead, her powers mostly dry up upon arrival to Earth and she spends years looking for the soul she was supposed to collect.

When she finally finds him, then what? Valhalla isn't exactly where if used to be, if it is anywhere anymore.

She tries to collect? She ends up staying with him? Her powers are somewhat restored thanks to proximity with the magical jetpack? He makes her a jetpack at some point.

This is just me spitballing.

New Saudra page!

Yes, Saudra does have a bit of a crush on collette.

So what was the consensus on Bullion's silhouette?

There wasn't one. Saburo and I explained why we think Bullion should be tall, and everyone who thinks she should be short said "because it's fiction and we can do what we want."

>Vikings learned space-faring technology way before other civilization.
>They learned many different modes of transport through different civilizations.

That's what going through my head.

Might as well make it a compromise, at least then you can say you included both.

>Vikings learned space-faring technology way before other civilization.
Works for me.

So what wiped them out? Or did they just end up breeding with aliens to the point where over many generations their human features are no longer dominant in their decedents?

They kept attacking other civilizations. They finally bit off more than they could chew

Against my better judgment, I came up with some sketches

1/3

2/3

3/3

I like this one quite a bit!

I really liked that char sheet magi had where Colby looks creepy without trying. I just imagine she's helping a little girl and the girl flips

You see this guy in the lower right? The one with a disco ball mounted inside of his chest? That's the Shine Heart of Groove™. Composer of the The Fourth Night Pulsar Nebula.

I think all the funky guys should be trying to appease him.

He has no development, they have no development.

This guy isn't a god, he's just the owner of the biggest night club in the galaxy, it takes up the surface of an entire planet so it's always night somewhere in the club. His parties are so legendary that word of them even spreads to remote backwater places like Earth.

This is my fave Colby art.

I heard from /aco/ that this would be the better place to make a request and it appears to the be case.

Another candid pic of Audrey in her swimsuit but without her arm in the way. Also, the ears should be reduced in size a little, they are bigger than usual here.

>some smart aleck saying that her breasts need reduction as well

Preemptive fuck off to you.

/aco/ is not a very good place for GG.

Might as well re-post this idea here while on the subject.

>Audrey is struggling to pack of a suitcase for a trip and either Sarah or Lucìa asks why it's so full.
>Audrey says it just has her usual clothes for a couple days.
>It's over stuffed because of the huge massive oversized bras she's trying to fit into it.

Now hopefully the thread won't crumble.

Someone said that?
In any case I don't think they were serious, that's some supreme stupidity. Of course she doesn't need a breast reduction.
Her ears are perfect though leave her alone.

You should really fuck off, though.

>Someone said that?

No, I'm guessing someone might say that.

>Her ears are perfect though leave her alone

What I'm saying is based off of this. You can see a difference in size to her ears here and .

I just realized something about that bonus round pic of Audrey. Wouldn't it make sense to measure her bust topless? Wouldn't her bra be in the way, constricting her breasts and throwing off the measuring tape?

Semantics
And besides, it's cute.

GG/Audrey is cute in just about any situation. Provided the art isn't completely fuck though.

...

God, I want to cuddle and snuggle.

I wonder if in BQverse they have all those bra measurements or fitting procedures. Briana is surely too big for anything but a ridiculously large measuring tape. Does Briana even wear a bra?

The design and colours on this are still radical. I love that perma-scowling warrior thing.

And for some reason it's always a weird (and nice) surprise when someone else draws one of these two. I'm still not used to that yet!

So you think it might work for Darby to be part of some cosmic party faction, or just trying to get their attention? Would the first option mean that Darby was actually some sort of thrill-seeking fabulous alien harassing the people of earth?

I think someone a thread or so ago suggested that he might make a good villain for FBB, and I vaguely remember there being some racing characters like RR as well who he might do a good job of gleefully harassing.

Either he learned of it and wants to get an invite by being the most fab man on the planet, or he's trying to spread the word of fab to the Earthlings.

Whichever is funnier or works better in whatever story he ends up being in.

>There wasn't one.
You're still bitching about that? Like it says here the last word was people wanting that compromise, and it's right there as V.3. It even looks like how that user was describing the compromise.

I'm just recently getting acquainted with /coc/.

Are there any characters based on mexican luchadores?

Yes.
A couple come to mind.

Public Defendore. A super Hero Lawyer .

I've wanted to see more done with Deadlift, the alien android who was basically a forklift on his ship.

Ship crashed, Deadlift was the sole survivor, his AI was buggy after that, developed a personality, landed somewhere in the Mexican jungles and witnessed some luchadores matches before molding himself to look like that and stepping into the ring.

What these others said, but Backfire is some lucha chick with explosion powers, too.

I like it. It's kinda 90s tacticool

I think I remember that. I don't remember how it went though. At the time I think General Freedom was also a lawyer of some sort.

There's also Backfire of the Vixen Six.
She can create explosions (like exploding fist punch) and combines it with her wrestling moves.

It shouldn't be, though. Audrey becomes Golden Guardian at the transition to the Bronze Age in 1970, so her Bullion years would be before that, sometime in the 60s.

Sliding timescale, and the thing after the silver age is the dark age. It doesn't need to make perfect sense.

>and the thing after the silver age is the dark age.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze_Age_of_Comic_Books
>The Bronze Age of Comic Books is an informal name for a period in the history of American superhero comic books usually said to run from 1970 to 1985. It follows the Silver Age of Comic Books,[1] and is followed by the Modern Age of Comic Books.

I more meant in terms of aesthetics but yeah.

I was thinking of a monster hunter-detective-James Bond-role model-heavyweight champion-superhero in the vein of El Santo. But these sound way better.
(I apologize for the amateur illustration)

>It shouldn't be
You love to do that, right?
It still looks cool, though, and that image was made because other people in that thread like the idea.
Just like this user in this thread.

Well, that sounds like fun too.

Well that's also a fine idea.

There is a monster hunting business in the setting, though we haven't really explored it in-depth.
It mostly boils down to Sup Forumsntainment edging into the industry, some cousins of the Summers family being mad at their cousins who work for Sup Forumsntainment, and also the Jackalope.

Tornado Alley is Monster Alley in the setting where a bunch of monsters are always appearing.

Just because people like it and think it looks cool doesn't mean it actually fits the concept. Tacticool wasn't much of a thing (if it was even a thing at all) in the era Audrey would've been Bullion, especially for a college-going crimefighter. Furthermore, the idea is that Audrey is wearing her father's pilot jacket (or at least one based off it), so there's no reason at all for it to be a Rogue-style short jacket.

You typed all that, huh?
There's plenty of reasons, grumpy. Fun's one of them.

>You typed all that, huh?
Yes, because I'm fucking sick of feeling like I'm the only one putting any actual thought into this.

I want to FUCJ this valkyrauta

Oh, so you're turning into this Cosmic clone, mixed with that dude that wouldn't shut up about Tatyana?
Calm down, dummy.

How the fuck does getting frustrated over the Bullion debate make me a Cosmic clone?

Is Sup Forumsntaiment like BRPD?
Monster Alley sounds like a good setting for a mexican wrestler. Could be like a Mike Haggar character, maybe a luchador/cop.
Something that's not explore in the lucha libre genre, it's the injuries that wrestlers sustain after a long carrer, both physical and mental, for example, Chris Benoit, or El Gitano, a mexican wrestler that got so depressed after he lost his mask that he commited suicide, the characters that wrestlers played are everything to them, it's their legacy, the gimmick it's their carrer. Could be a hero who slowly starts losing connection with reality and forgets he has a secret identity or maybe one whose power is measured on how over with the crowd he is.

Similar, yeah.
Sup Forumsntainment started off mainly dealing with ghosts and failing, then got better, then expanded to cleaning up the aftermath of super fights, taking down monsters and lesser supervillains.

I wonder if that's a big problem in the setting for supers. Like a psychological issues that develops where they begin to have trouble maintaining secret identities.
I think some just abandon the concept altogether when they get into one of the bigger hero groups unless they feel they have a reason to not go public with their identities.

Actual thought doesn't have a single pathway.
An equally valid "actual thought" might be, for example, the fact that the Discowing era was really kind of a stupid look and an embarrassing costume, so a a similar middle phase should be ostentatious and kind of cringeworthy.
Which dovetails nicely with the looks from the dark ages of comics and makes the final Golden Guardian form into a retroactive reconstruction in terms of design
And again, a sliding timescale is a pretty common comic book staple, so being entirely wed to "it MUST BE THE 60s" isn't the only way to go. Between time traveling villains and big event crises on infinite earths, there's nothing saying that Audrey can't be in the modern era as an adult.

>And again, a sliding timescale is a pretty common comic book staple, so being entirely wed to "it MUST BE THE 60s" isn't the only way to go.
Except that as I said, for quite some time now, the idea has been that she becomes Golden Guardian at the transition to the Bronze Age in 1970. She grows into a full-fledged hero in her own right just as the genre itself begins to grow up. Therefore, her Bullion years would have to be before that, with the 60s being a logical conclusion that allows us to play around with the tropes and conventions specifically related to each decade:

>Golden Girl: 1950s
>Bullion: 1960s
>Golden Guardian: 1970s and beyond

Yes, a sliding timescale exists. That's why Audrey is vaguely in her early teens in the 50s and her mid-20s in 1970. And the sliding timescale would then keep her in her mid-20s from then on, allowing us to explore Golden Guardian's career in each era and decade following the 70s if we so desire.

>Except that as I said, for quite some time now, the idea has been that she becomes Golden Guardian at the transition to the Bronze Age in 1970.
I've been here since the beginning, senpai, and the only thing established firmly is that it's the transitory period, not the specifics of the aesthetics. The assumption is that it needs to take place in the 60s-70s, but you know what they say about assumptions, right?

Teens acting as independent heroes instead of sidekicks first started coming to prominence in the 1960s, like Spider-Man and the original X-Men. It makes sense that Bullion would start her solo career there.

That's a fair point, and and I think I'd degree to it.
But now the question is "what's are the design aesthetics of the bronze age?"
Because looking at Speedy for example, nothing particularly stands out that wouldn't apply to the silver age prior. Concept is strong and all, but in terms of visuals if there's not enough difference then you might as well not change her look at all.

Well, one Golden Guardian-specific thing I envisioned was the Cosmic Censure Authority would have kind of a Fourth World look to them. Like if Jack Kirby had created the Auditors of Reality.

Not super related to the main conversation here, but this was an interesting subject to look at.

feel like the "secret identity" phase is either for people whose public identity would suffer from superheroics, or newer/younger heroes who are less sure of their superhero identity. Some people might just like maintaining the mystery so that they can be a symbol for legacies and "play up" the persona a bit without sullying it with their celebrity politics. It's certainly not a given in a world where superheroes are relatively common.

I think it depends on the person.

If you're single/live alone/no family then there's less of a reason to have a secret identity.

One of the appeals is probably having less security around loved ones.

Yeah, I'd consider that a part of public identity suffering from a reveal. Similarly, if you're a head of a company who turns out to be a super, that can cause problems even on the corporate level.

You sure like to dwell an awful lot on it when you do it, and you keep doing it.
GG+spam=Cosmic
I'm mostly fucking with you, man. Calm down, it's gigantic tits on a character.

Or boost sales if you have good publicity.

I don't think collateral accountability is something we deal with in the setting with supers. There's probably a law or something protecting them from that sort of stuff and it isn't really a fun direction to take a story to most of the time.

It could also be not wanting attention or wanting privacy.

Okay I got some time before Jojo's on. Time for Momo colors! I added some peach blossoms to her clothes.
Anyone else hype for ninja turtles in injustice?

>then expanded to cleaning up the aftermath of super fights

Are they like Damage Control from Marvel, or more like a hero group who fights the remaining monsters after the boss was defeated by the star team?

Totally tubular!

They try to be proactive and engage when no other heroes are showing up, but they're not equipped to deal with a full fledged supervillain.

Monsters, ghosts, supernatural phenomenon, street level supers, those are all the things they deal with.
Also helping with escorting defeated supervillains to super prisons.
They don't run the prisons.

I just imagined Audrey Page having a Mr. Sparkle-esque lookalike mascot in the main Sup Forumsverse that looks like her bust/logo.

>before Jojo's on
What part are you watching?

Toonami run. The old lady went apeshit last week

Jesus, what's with me and only replying with "what are you watching?" shit, instead of commenting on the work?
I do like the added detail of the flowers. They look good, and they don't make the outfit too "busy" looking.

Glad you like the sketches, always liked their look when they were dropped in this thread.

Maybe he's trying to convince people he's a head honcho of fab, kinda like Starscream would if Megatron was away longer than 5 minutes.

Aw yeah, I love me some luchadors

Are luchadors known for having domino masks? I just assume their thing about never losing the mask would have them always wanting the full face mask. Also were you the same guy from last week with the Colette pic?

There's all kinds of masks, but the most common one is the traditional full head mask and yes, I made that Colette pic

There are two big sources of fab in the setting.

One is a demon king who has a limo that is an entire nightclub the size of an extra-dimensional plane.

The other is the guy we're trying to set up now, said to have a night club that takes up an entire planet.

I imagine if the two ever meet, the resulting dance off will rock the stars themselves.

Hmm.

The Fraying (haircut wars)
Deadlift (overdue)
Maybe even Breast Wars (that red link is still there)

Trying to get a list of stuff I need to add to the wiki while it's still on my mind since I probably won't remember when I wake up.

What else?

Trine? Not sure how to get that on there without it just being a huge spoiler for all the reveals in that. I wish that guy drawing it would come back. That was fun to talk about.

The duplicator family all descended from Spitting Image. There's no family name.

Action News 52. Well there's at least pics to use for that.

Pussy Willow. I bet wikia will word filter that like they did Faggot Tree. I hope not. I don't want to have to ask wikia staff to make another page on the site.

Bleak Hole. There might be enough info on him for a page.

Prisons. Right, I still have all the stuff we talked about when making up the super prisons the villains get sent to.

There's still more stuff in this txt file, but those characters don't have art beyond doodles.

Well, something to do tomorrow. Hopefully the thread survives the night.

...

>-Talked about the seasons girls

Best Season.

Damn it.

Maybe for you, but over here Autumn just means dark and rainy.

...

I really like her vaguely Eurasian appearance. Pose is cute though when juxtaposed to the other giving an angry bird.

I should finish that drawing sometimes. Spring is not giving a bird, but is suppose to be holding a pen.
