Characters who have too many unrelated powers

To the point where they just seem confusing and arbitrary

I hope one of her powers is temperature regulation.

No but her hymen grows back after every fucking.

...

I'm not a raghead, user.

This. Superman is worse than Selene

-Selene can drain life energy from people
when she does that, she gets all the memories of the person. She has the memories of thousands of people she has killed in her 12.000 years old existance, and remembers them well.
-that energy she drains allows her to be immortal, young forever, heal herself.
-she can use that energy to control inanimmate matter, as in creating stone monsters that obey her and many other things
-If she spends too much energy, she becomes an old woman, but can become young again by vampirizing another person
-she is also a telepath
-and she is also one of the most powerful sorcerors in the Marvel universe
-She has had followers for milleniums, and she can turn them into half human beats who are her slave

this is a collage of many x-men life energy vampires that include Selene, I forgot to put Sauron in it

she's in Brazil, probably sweating like a pig in all that leather DESU

I forgot another power of Selene, moving in the form of a shadow, but may be a part of her magic

...

from a fetichistic Claremont what if in which Selene is almost a hero

She's thousands of years old but her true form looks like 65...

What should he keep and what should he lose? obviously strength is non-negotiable, and I like to think flight is as well.

He's only got two powers though
>mind reading
>x-ray eyes
Kind of unrelated sure, but hardly too many.

I was going more for unrelated. I think I was just looking for an excuse to post Tommy.

Super Speed

Why is she such a convoluted character? Also, when is she coming back?

Oh, for a minute there, i thought you were going to shit on him, i was ready to go fucking super sayian, nvm then fellow patrician.

Tommy's my man. I miss him a lot. Hitman is for sure one of my favourite comics.

he could lose frost breath

I'm gonna just go ahead and mention Magneto here.

Sure, "unrelated" is a bit debatable because it's almost invariably explained away as some clever use of his magnetism powers, occasionally stretching it to include the entire electromagnetic spectrum and beyond, but the range of bullshit he can do is just staggering.

I mean, shit like being able to fly by affecting the metal in his outfit or whatever, sure I get that. But they've got him manipulating people using the iron in their blood, shooting lightning, creating force fields, controlling/reprogramming robots and machines, to Xorn type shit where he's doing all kinds of things by using nanotechnology, to full-on telepath shit like mind control and astral projection.

He could keep some amount of super speed to allow him to fly around the world at a reasonable pace, but he should never be Flash-tier IMO.

Shooting lightning and force fields make sense considering his powers. If you can control magnetism, you should be able to generate electricity and the force filed stuff is connected to positive/negative charges.

The telepathy, mind control and iron in blood trick make no sense.

Reprogramming machines and robots could be explained as him having studied how they work.

Perhaps what and heat vision. Super strength, flight, and armored skin/clothes I'm good with. He's like a flying bolder.

Was Superman ever Flash tier when it came to speed? I always thought he was closer to Quicksilver's level of speed.

Superman should keep heat vision and lose frost breath.

I think Superman's history and status as Superman means he's grandfathered in when it comes to various goofy parts of his character.

He should lose frost breath and heat vision.

There are several stories featuring a race between Flash and Supes, and in all of them it's a pretty even match.

Post more Selene faggots

thosewereforcharity.jpg

>has a fear of heights
>but can FLY

Yeah get rid of that power.

have some nice Selenetits

Dude can fly FTL. Doesn't matter if Flash is faster. It's like infinity vs infinity +1

frost breath is actually a reasonable corollary to super strength though

So what is she? A mutant, an ancient vampire?

mutant, many many mutant have life enegy absorption as their power

all characters there are mutants

>super strength and frost breath go together
how?

The Flash, particularly Wally West.

Defining power is superspeed. But also he can nonsensically phase through solid objects? And because he can run fast that means he can extend his running fast powers to other people to make them run fast. And also extend them to other people to take away their ability to run fast.

And shoot lightning.

And make literal forcefields and clothes out of the ability to move at superspeeds.

Time travel is related enough to speed that that's fine but the rest is asinine.

That's a vampire thing, isn't it?

>this is a collage of many x-men life energy vampires that include Selene, I forgot to put Sauron in it

Add Exodus.

-Flight
-Telepathy
-Super strength
-Super density
-Concussive blasts (I think it was during Wood's run)
-Some level of healing factor
I mean, I like Monet and all, but that's overkill. I'm not counting the Emplate powers. And, somehow, it took Cullen Bunn to put her in a main X-Team two years ago.

You use your strong lungs to stop the air molecules from moving, thus making it cold
come on user

>Concussive blasts (I think it was during Wood's run)
I'm fairly sure that was telekinesis, which you could bullshit into being the explanation behind her flight and superstrength

Relationship between pressure, temperature and volume. With superstrong lungs compressing a shit ton of air at body temperature, that air would cool dramatically when it expands

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joule–Thomson_effect

well shit, i learned something today

I didnt put Exodus because he is a psychic vampire, not life energy vampire.
As in, when he is very injured and close to dead, which has only happened once since he was introduced in the comics, his body goes into psychic vampire state, and he can heal himself by leeching psychic energy from a very powerful psychic like Nate Grey or Jean, their psychic attacks in that state only make him stronger.

But he doesnt seem to have that ability when he is healthy, it's more like a defense mechanism of the body when he is greatly wounded.

she shouldnt have telekinesis imo, as in, her super strength is telekinesis surrounding her skin, but I dont like her projecting her telekinesis.

in Lapham's AoA Apocalypse-Wolverine says that Monet is pretty much what evolution is all about, the perfect being.
He says celestials want super powerful delicious brown girls.

Reduced speed.
His speed actually has physics to it. So carrying people requires some thought, cant go faster than sound in a city, etc.
Actually just ditch super speed in running altogether.

Should just be smart but never nobel prize level.

Drop microscopic.

Keep:
flight
strength
invulnerability (more emphasis on magic imbued objects hurting him)
x-ray
heat
ice
hearing
sight
fast flight speed

Is this traced from porn?

Beast face on first panel is kind of off putting.

Celestials have good taste I see.

There are too many ''vampires'' in comics.

my biggest problem is they are always villains
as in:

>What do you I may carry the x-gene?
>I just turned 13, lets see what my mutant gift is!
> OhWell, it seems I can steal life force/energy from other beings and use for xxxxxxxx whatever
>I guess I am a villain now

I would like to see a hero with that power, who steals life energy from trees or cattle instead of people

Unified Field Theory was a mistake

after the Flashes its the Supers/Marvels. when Wally was going to steal speed to beat instant transmission he put Supes in the same class as Jay and Bart. Wally also describes Supes and Doomsday to bend physics when it comes to speed as opposed to him breaking it.

It's pretty hard too se someone as one of the good guys when your power is steal somebody's life energy.

well, we kill cows for burgers and chickens for tendies. perhaps they could kill living cattle or living trees instead of people.

Wally's powers were always a combination of energy manipulation + speed.

Speed=Kinetic energy, so Wally can steal/absorb it.

Making people faster could be explained as him giving excess energy to others.

Creating lightning bolts is basically energy generation.

Going through solid objects is also part of speed. My science teacher in high school mentioned that if something moved fast enough it could go through solid objects.

You should write for DC.

Who knows?Maybe one day I will.

What about Rogue?

Rogue is one lucky exception. Also, I don't like Rogue.

Who's that X-Men chick who started out being able to turn into diamonds and is now basically god?

The fact that even Quentin Queer has used the Phoenix force makes it worse.

Emma?

>Anonymous 11/12/17(Sun)02:30:54 No.9669
Didnt he once cure the Anti-Life Equation with speed? what was the logic of that one?

power of love.

>What about Rogue?
Rogue gets a pass because she's got dat ass.

I don't know.

Couldn't she just have sapped a little bit of life from all her soldiers?

Doesn't she just use telekinesis on her own body to create most of those powers?

She was originally a villain who got redeemed.

...

Did you just mistake Selene for Laura?

What's her powerlevel?

yes, I didn't see the name and just saw the letter x in the filename
im sorry

>Self-Molecular Control
>Turning dust in to larger forms of matter
>Turning larger forms of matter in to dust
>Augmenting / supercharging the powers of other mutants
>Superhuman strength
>Superhuman endurance
>Telekinesis
>Telepathy
>Immortality
>Self-generated teleportation fields
>Accelerated healing factor
>Shapeshifting
>Superhuman intelligence
>Other matter manipulation
>Self-generated Force Fields
>Energy manipulation
>Reality distortion
>Access to astral plane and/or the minds of others
>Alteration of size
>Capacity to transfer his conciousness to another Being

Yet basically all he does now is get jobbed.

At this every villain who doesn't join the X-Men jobs.

She can't orgasm like that

Take away super speed, replace it with... I dunno what to call it besides "kinda super speed." Like he should be faster than the average bloke because of his MUSCLES but not faster than the eye can see and certainly nowhere near as fast as, say, the Flash.

Take away frost breath.

Give him X-Ray vision or heat vision, not both.

this is her creepiest power

I remember Xavier beating her and Hulk resisting her, in an almost comedy book.
she got close to ascending to godhood in Genosha, by resurrecting a million dead with mutants, and absorbing the life force of many of them. She was killed by some magic injun knife.
Necrosha event.

take away that thing where he throws his "S" at bag guys and that traps them in the Phantom Zone.

ive always found it annoying when characters have these really vague "energy beam magic" powers.

Flights the only thing I want to get rid of. Maybe a couple other minor adjustments but flight needs to fucking go.

Oh wait I forgot super hearing.
Ditch super hearing because it's just restrictive to storytelling.

Didn't she fuck Conan?

Martian Manhunter

Apocalypse has one power Self Molecular Control.

Self Molecular Control is how he shapeshifts, changes his size and heals. Technically its the source of his enhanced strength and endurance since Self Molecular Control= free body modification.

Everything else he does is caused by the Celestial technology he found.
