>features plot holes so yawningly vast they have a kind of Grand Canyon-like splendour: part of you wants to hang around to see what they look like at sunset.

Is it bad that now I sort of want to see it, just to see how bad it is?

Not that I'll be paying for it.

Hollywood Reporter gave it a shitty review as well, calling it "a chore to sit through."

hollywoodreporter.com/review/justice-league-review-1057114

>Snyder and Whedon guide it all with the usual heavy hand and with a visual style that's both gloomy and garish. Many shots are elaborated upon with effects-powered pools of disco-era lighting, zig-zaggy electrical charges and visualized power currents that fill in the compositions in unattractive ways. One only has to recall for a moment the rich images that Christopher Nolan and Wally Pfister consistently created for the Dark Knight trilogy to realize how far these Superman films are from any kind of pictorial distinction.

Sounds like the reshoots were really noticeable.

no, but yeah, just don't pay for it

>Watch Jeremy Jahns' review
>It's got a bunch of issues but it's fun!

i get to watch it in theaters for free

Why were there even reshoots.

>At one mind-boggling juncture, the team inexplicably leaves the final Mother Box unattended in a car park, only for Steppenwolf to beam down and make off with it while they’re doing something else.

zack snyders kid commited seppuku half way through

...

RIP

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This one time, allow me to link to Reddit, since they are compiling reviews.

A lot of negative reviews. Almost all, in fact. I'm afraid it will be little above BvS, maybe 35%.

Will this be the death of the DCEU?

>The Sup Forums shills who were hyped for this

it's ogre

I hope to god it will be.

I swear to god Im going to shoot up a theater if I see anyone going to this piece of shit.

Well, fuck you, I happen to like playing seppuku!

...though the local store seems to be running short on them these days.

I'm actually sad. I'll have to drown it out by stepping up the shitposting.

Simply edgy, my lad.

Probably not. Despite being disappointments bar WW the DCEU films did make a decent amount of money. And they've shaken off Snyder by now who seemed to be the root cause of the problems.

Didn't they say they're only doing solo movies after this?

>The one positive review so far is IGN
OH NO NO NO NO

GET THE PRAYER CIRCLE READY

At this point people just consider JL a speed-bump that we have to get over, so actual good directors can do better solo films.

I do security for movie pre-screenings, and while this wasn't the worst movie I've had to suffer through recently (Daddy's Home 2 was waaaaaayyyyy worse) it was super boring. I fell asleep at one point sitting in the projector room.

Ben Aflek is still a horrible Batman.
This also was REEEEE inducing.

There are copious ass shots of Gal Gadot though, so that's something.

I think it's going to settle mid-50s in RT score.

Who the fuck am I kidding, it's aiming for 30 or less at this point.

Improved a little, still trash but not a disaster

DCEU IS KILL

It seems like the favorable reviews focus on the character they like, rather than liking the actual movie itself.

>they managed to cock it up harder than BvS
How. I'm still confused how they cocked up BvS worse than MoS, but how do you pull it off a third time?

That can't be fucking real.
Even if it made it to the first draft, IT SHOULDN'T HAVE MADE IT PAST THE FIRST DRAFT.
Is there at least an explanation for why they leave it?

I bet it's going to go down again.

OH NONONONONONO

and it's because of their quips

yeah...uhu...make mine dc...

I miss the MoS times.

MoS actually opened strong. Like, 95% strong. It took it 2 days to sink to rotten, and even then it was just 50% rotten.

Now look at the situation.

Shit, and here I was recently hoping it wouldn't be THAT bad
Fuck those retarded directors, DC deserves a good cinematic universe and I was really hoping that after WW and SS(fuck you, I liked it) we would get there.

>/our guy/ Whedon went in as a double agent and sabotaged the film

>glance over at tumblr

>mostly positive reviews from teen girls who seem to like it because Jason Momoa is hot or Ezra is a total bae

>another goes into a long diatribe about how feminist the movie was or was not, rather than talking about the content of it

>another saying she has no idea who these characters are, but they sure are cute

How will marvel ever recover????
youtube.com/watch?v=p6zCdlF-NSg

Nope, none at all.

Who here is planning to see it, but paying for tickets for another movie and sneaking into JL instead?

>positive review of IGN

Is there some unwritten rule that IGN never gives anything a bad score?

Alright, serious question. No bait. What the hell has been going on in the smoke-filled rooms and behind-the-scenes stuff of the DCEU they keep pushing out turds that are completely unaware they're obviously chasing after Marvel, and created by people who usually don't get DC's heroes at heart are supposed to be optimistic (especially since DC INVENTED the superhero)? It's a shame, since casting's usually completely on point outside the crap writing the actors get.

>movie is monstrously bad
>people will still go to see it, to see how bad it is

I'm buying mine for Coco. Nobody gives a shit about security here, so it's fine.

Come on, now. You're pulling my leg. There has to be SOMETHING.
Do they just put it down and walk away without a word?

They put a manlet in charge. What did they think was gonna happen

>How. I'm still confused how they cocked up BvS worse than MoS, but how do you pull it off a third time?

They hired Snyder again, let him have free reign to create another shitshow, and then half way through production tried to Frankenstein it into a "mediocre/okay" tier movie with reshoots, but like Josh Trank's Fantastic Four movie, it really only made it even worse

As long as the films make dosh, why would anything matter? If I recall correctly, Suicide Squad made a stupid huge amount of money despite how shitty is was

Now is almost not a complete piece of shit!

Can't wait for Half in the Bag

>another goes into a long diatribe about how feminist the movie was or was not, rather than talking about the content of it

I love those
>This movie/show/comic is so good because it has:
>a canon lesbian couple.
>a kick-ass black supporting character
>a non-stated but clearly canon transman
>a scene where they complain about the patriarchy
>a super cute moment when a character expresses their feelings
etc

It's gonna go down again.

I know, I'm more excited for that than the movie

Tumblr in nutshell.

That's every Korra review in a nutshell

it will be review kino

also SU
also those shitty BOOM comics

My girlfriend and I are planning on seeing it Saturday at the drive-in, since it's a double feature. But is it REALLY worth seeing along with fucking Geostorm? I feel like I'll wanna kill myself if this is really that bad.

reddit

Not when they reviewed God Hand.

Back to Sup Forums, faggot.

>inb4 they pull a transformers 4

>along with fucking Geostorm

wow, 2 turds for the price of one

Geostorm sounds like the perfect chaser for this natural disaster.

>But is it REALLY worth seeing along with fucking Geostorm?
Why in God's name would you do that to yourself.

Are you really going to support snyder? Is better to let DCEU die than this, at least we will still get Wonder Woman 2 since the first movie made a fucking fortune.

Even better. This trash doesn't deserve a real review.

Just riff Geostorm with your girlfriend

You could leave before the bad movie starts.
Which is, to say, you could just not go at all.

user, stop.

What are you doing?

Your life is worth living. You have value. YOU MATTER.

My fiancé, soon to be wife in 2 weeks and I are seeing it next week but buying different tickets and sneaking into it instead. Fuck giving money to WB for this but I am so morbidly curious about it.

Nigga why are you paying to watch two shitty movies?

...

I kinda want to see it because disaster porn makes me hard.

Whoever paired those two movies is either a colossal asshole or has an amazing sense of humor. Or both.

sweet, no reason to break my Hollywood boycott

Stop lying to the man.

>tfw a group of cutie classmates want to see it and invited me but I REALLY didn't want to see it and I rejected the offer
Was it worth it Sup Forums?
Because I'm having second thoughts, not for the movie, but for the girls. But on the other hand: the movie.

Congrats, user.

just play with your gf's titties to pass the time.

Vanity Fair fucking destroyed the movie
>The film looks terrible, from a visit to Wonder Woman’s native Themyscira that plays like a cheap video-game cut scene, to a dopey big bad (voiced by poor Ciarán Hinds) who looks, well, like a villain in a playable video-game scene. There’s little inspiring in the way of aesthetics—not even Clark Kent’s lovingly sun-dappled Kansas corn fields, captured with some poeticism in Man of Steel, look good here. The movie jerks around haltingly, shuffling through visual motifs and grating, unexciting set pieces at alarming speed, with no rhythm or build. It’s like having a little kid stutteringly recap a movie for you (“And then this happened and then this happened, oh wait, but also this happened”) instead of watching an actual movie. It’s rather staggering, how pretty much nothing in the film works, not the semi-reliable old stuff, and certainly not all the new junk they’ve crammed in.

>Perhaps the Justice League franchise really has been rotten from the start, experiencing not evolution but entropy, with Wonder Woman standing as an anomalous glimmer of false hope. I could be projecting, but boy does poor Gal Gadot look so sad in Justice League, watching this lumbering and witless movie lay waste to the nice thing she just got finished making. It really is a shame. What a dumb irony, to end this movie, of all movies, on a note of bitter injustice like that.
vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/11/justice-league-review?mbid=social_twitter

Just go watch Thor Ragnarok twice.

...

Then just watch JL.

>Vanity Fair
>that plays like a cheap video-game cut scene,
>who looks, well, like a villain in a playable video-game scene.
This kind of shit is why gamergate was a thing

...

I know it sounds mean but not gonna lie, seeing this mess happening every time is genuinely entertaining to me. I'm literally smiling as i read these disastrous reviews, because come on people it's been not 1, not 2, but 3 horrible movies that spearheaded this DCEU (well, actually MoS was semi-decent; im not counting WW here of course), one has to be kinda blind to expect anything else now considering that we're still in the hands of the same creatives, not to mention the unfortunate mess JL found itself in with the director stepping away earlier than normal and all

It's beyond being disappointed now, you know?

...

I predicted a 40-45 score, and I'm feeling pretty vindicated right now.

Liberal propaganda

...

Pretty disappointing. I actually liked Man of Steel and kind of like Batfleck, too, and Jeremy Irons' Alfred, and the WW movie was good. Looks like they were just putting the cart before the horse on a lot of aspects.

>the gadot defense force every fucking time
Does a critic's career hinge on not saying that Gadot also sucks?

For god sake

Just give the rights back to Marvel

...

They don't even pick it up

>Zack Snyder fucks up the entire DC movie universe, literally failure after fucking failure, and screws up their biggest potential film ever
>meanwhile, DC has been non-stop winning on the comics front
>Marvel, meanwhile, has been sudoku-ing itself and trying to take the entire comics industry with it on the comics front
>and has been doing the movies perfectly almost all the time in terms of people actually liking shit

Fucks sake, why is everything such a mess on all sides?

Everything we've seen so far of the movie looks like a video game. I'm inclined to believe them

...

>I could be projecting, but boy does poor Gal Gadot look so sad in Justice League

Better hope there's an opening in F&F9 soon.
