Unironically pretty good

Unironically pretty good.
2 big issues were the excessive quips and the bad bear removal.
Liked it a lot otherwise.
Acting was good, chemistry between characters was the highlight of the movie honestly.

Do you have an opinion on the film to share?

it's bad

His reaction faces were aweful in the best way. Flash v Deadpool crossover when

Have you seen it?

>excessive quips

Which ones? I thought the movie was very restrained on that front compared to the average MCU movie.

So...exactly the same but we're going to say it's not because muh DCEU. I guess that's fine.

actually I want to like it, not jazzed about them saying "here, have Sheldon as Flash" but he's not the whole movie

Well I hate Marvel style quips so I found it excessive. There were less quips than the Avengers movie in total though.

I feel you on the quips but at least they were in character for The Flash. I’m already a Flashfag though so maybe I’m a bit biased.
not a quip but that scene where Flash is dodging Supes, he already mentioned before how he doesn’t know how to fight so you can see him kind of trying to push Supes cause it’s all he can do kek

>*beard
>fuck me
I thought it was a porn 'stash?

Speaking of which, do you lads cast as Hal Jordan?

Some of them worked, some of them didn't but there were certainly less than the trailer made it seem, and far less than Thor, every other line is a Gag-Norak

>lying like this
>knowing how desperate Chad's are for any hope at all
That's mean, user.

FUNNY! But mean.

>I didn't like the marvel parts of the movie, but did anyone think that this DC movie was absolutely amazing?
This is some olympic level hoop jumping i've been seeing these past few days. Not only did DC hire a literal Marvel director but its flopping critically and financially, nor does it have any bit of the "2deep4u" substance that Sup Forums can even have fun with.

These posts are just boring. They add nothing. They take away nothing. Placeholder posts. Stock posts.

There are a gazillion posts just like these in the archive.

I wish the GL would've done more before getting killed and his ring fucking off to Abin Sur.

Actually I wanted to see more of the whole flashback

Also, Cyborg reformating into a more solid design in the last frame was BS

>Actually I wanted to see more of the whole flashback
No memeing, but I'd be surprised if the blu ray wasn't extended.

>Actually I wanted to see more of the whole flashback

Blame Tsujihara. The whole thing felt like a movie that was edited for time to air on television. Unlike BvS I legitimately want to see an extended version of Justice League.

>want to see an extended version
Will fanboys ever not fall for that?

The old gods flashback felt epic in scope and needed a longer version, after the amazon scenes you can tell it had a lot of wasted potential, it should've been the very first escene even.

So does Flash ever actually punch anybody? Are there any good sequences with him that arent slow motion?

Sometimes it helps.

The movie makes it clear that Barry is just starting out. Not only is he not a fighter, he's never really been in serious danger before.

So no, no Infinite Mass Punches just yet.

I honestly want to see Snyder's cut of the movie. I really disliked what we got now and I have no problem with asserting that Whedon's reshoots and editing is why I disliked the current cut of Justice League. People say BvS was a mess due to editing but holy shit, this was so poorly paced, disjointed and jumpy that nothing really felt connected and the big climax has no weight under it. When Steppenwofl was defeated, I legitimately thought "wait, THAT is it?!"

I meant a regular punch, so I guess that means no. Fucking hell

What's your issue exactly?

Just because he doesn't land a punch doesn't mean he's bad. His best scenes are where he pokes at WW's sword to send it back to her and when he's running towards Clark when the JL fights Superman in Metropolis and goes "FUUUUUUUUCK" when he notices that Clark not only sees him running, but also is fast enough to react to his speed.

I guess he wanted Flash to be a fucking stunner out of the gate.

I actually liked Barry as the babyfaced newbie to contrast with all the grizzled machismo on the team.

Post YFW those after credit scenes

I don't have an issue with Barry being new, but cmon guys, he can't make a damn fist and hit a Parademon? Thats kind of pathetic

This is trash and trying to fast to build a league. It suffers from synders work + jumbled reshoots at the last minute. Synders take must have been bad though. I will say DC was willing to experiment but they fucked up handing Snyder the reigns. I hate both DCEU and MCCU. both are trash and fail to capture the spirit of the characters in different ways. Synder is an edgelord who wanted to inject a dark vision into everything and disney is just making a product.

Both pretty damn good, Really hope Justice league 2 is on it's way, initially I was a Darkseidfag, but that scene makes me think "eh fuck it, let's have some fun"

Think they'll fix his dumpster fire in the bluray extended edition release?

He does punch and kill parademons but it's nothing special. Just him running and clearing a room at top speed. He's grossed out by the green bug blood that he gets covered in when he stops for a second for a sort of "Ewwww, gross" quip.

>mfw Superman/Flash race
>mfw Eisenberg Lex is back

Has anyone leaked the ancient battle scene? That's pretty much the only thing I'm interested in in this movie.

Race? Dumb and completely forced. Yacht? Okay, but felt entirely unnecessary Marvel type shit. And what was up with the facial hair? Looked so fake.

I felt like both Snyder and Whedon were being earnest in their efforts, and whike it didn't mesh that well, it felt like a Johns comic- dark and dour, yet quippy.
So in a way it feels DC ish.

Pretty much my thought on it OP. I will add though that I wish Clark's return was covered. Maybe they didn't know how to write themselves out of that hole. I came up with the excuse that he was one of the first to be taken by Parademons but then I remembered he was buried in Smallville and had a funeral instead of just the big one in Metropolis

This movie was a masterpiece, I can't believe these reviews at all, I am now fully convinced of a Disney funded conspiracy against DC movies.

OH NONONONONONO

deadline.com/2017/11/justice-league-box-office-weekend-winner-wonder-the-star-1202210465/

I do not see that at all. Even johns knows how to separate overal tone from character character tone. Superman has been so warped its not even funny. Batman is not much different.

I thought this movie had a better script thsn JL origin.

So this is where we're at now. When did Sup Forums become so fucking cancerous banter got you banned?

Some of the quips seem out of place. Other than that it seemed like they changed supes personality (for the better). If there was one thing they should have changed though it would be when they brought back supes and he made the "do you bleed" and "you won't let me die" remarks while beating the shit out of him.

I would have much preferred the scene if he was silently crushing Batman's face with crazy eyes and came back to his senses when he saw Louis. As is he just seems like a giant dick that was cognizant of everything going on.

the GL looked very similar to kilowog

i'm afraid

>good

oh fucking bullshit

No it did not. If anything I was getting Alan Scott vibes.

If Thor 2 can be fresh on RT, this movie can be good.

nah the dead one had kilowog's teeth and a broad head so it looked pretty similar, but you're right in that the one flying in the sky did look like scott - i thought it was him and that maybe jay/the hawks/black adam would show up as one of the "tribes of men"

Character interactions were the salvageable part of it.

Most of what was built around them bothers me.

Fans continually buy new editions of the SW movies every time they come out.

IN DROVES.

People are fucking dumb.

Well I'm not going to pay for it. I have all 16 Marvel films on my harddrive. Do you think I paid for any of them?

Would it be a hot take to say I liked it more than The Avengers?

RT is stupid as fuck. Did you know that RTwill put up reviews without crtics doing themselves and if the review is uncertain about whether it's positive or negative, RT will automatically label it negative.

The movie isn't great or all that good but it's decent or okay and people need to stop giving a shit about RT.

I think expectation killed this movie review-wise more than anything, and it's WB's own fault.

I don't think it deserves the RT or metacritic score it got. It wasn't quite THAT level of bad.

But the fact of that matter is that this was supposed to be their big tentpole, and what we got was okay at best. So after all the hype and attempt at build-up, you end up with a product that falls short of a mark that was already set way too high. The contrast of that makes it seem worse than it is and immediately puts people off.

I agree user, but they've finally got a spark with this cast. I felt like I was watching the comics I read. TDK etc are much better movies, but they felt very elseworldsish. This movie is starting the process of turning the DCEU into a good live action representation of DC. The insane power levels are intact, while injecting some more verve/zest/whatever into the characters.
Flash, Cyborg and even Aquachad are nice depictions of the characters, though Aquachad is less ripped-off-the-page than the other two.

I did too user, but I might be biased because I've always liked DC characters more (mostly). But most of the Marvel characters I like cannot legally appear in the MCU. (another reason why the DCEU has so much potential now- the own the entire stable of comics characters).

>inb4 shill
I like something. SHOOT ME, FAGGOTS!

>if the review is uncertain about whether it's positive or negative, RT will automatically label it negative

Got any written proof?

No. You're entitled to your opinion. I liked it more than Homecoming I can tell you that

Daily reminder DC LITERALLY cannot handle banter

damn...

The Absolute STATE of MCUcks

Hows that 26% RT score?

Friendly reminder that RT is a collection of opinions, not an "objective movie quality score".

Fuck man you Americans love being told what to think. No wonder Trump is president

It really felt that way, though with the amount of negative backlash it's getting I am trying to figure out if my expectations were so low that anything could be good.

It definitely wasn't perfect, had a few jokes that fell flat in what were serious scenes. Barry was a bit too socially awkward a few times. Superman didn't have enough lines but all of his action scenes were pretty solid. Action in general was pretty solid. Felt the way the characters worked together in battle was better than in the Avengers. The Avengers all kind of did their own individual fights with a bit of communication back and forth while in Justice League they actually combo'd well.

I'm hoping to get a decent camrip to watch soon so I can figure out if I just overlooked some stuff in my desperation for a good movie.

That's what a lot of fans are hanging their hat on.

"It was a very flawed movie, but at least it's a step in the right direction."

Thing is? I didn't want my JL movie to be "just okay".

My apologies, it slipped my mind after watching DCucks parade screenshots of Wonder Womans 90+ RT score, freshly bought and paid for with SJW brownie points. I'll try to keep it in mind moving forward

BvS sucks and I remember when I read the spoilers for it, I was embarrassed and didn't want to even see it.

The spoilers I've heard for this don't sound bad though. Sounds pretty hype. At the worst, it'll be pretty fun like Thor 3 I think.

Don't really mind, since I like to see a movie first, and then form my own opinion on it, instead of parroting an arbitrary number over and over again

But there's a different between completely bland 5/10 "okay" and uneven okay.
JL is uneven okay, meaning there are moments that are both above and below the 5/10 line.
Uneven movies can be worth caring about. Total 5/10 bland movies cannot.

Americans like knowing whats worth spending money on...thankfully the abysmal RT score might keep Warner from making more of these spandexed turds and actually result in a reboot of a more well done DCEU

You suck. There are better ways to get a rush than being a dick online. You only make this place worse for yourself by being so combative.

>inb4 more company wars

>..thankfully the abysmal RT score might keep Warner from making more of these spandexed turds
BvS was lower, didn't stop them then.

same here
it really does feel like the comics. if they didnt use so much horrible cgi i might have thought this was a pretty great movie.

Maybe if faggot mods hadn't banned me for light bantz I wouldn't be so fucking pissed

>Can dish out banter, but can't take a light hearted joke from a mod

C'mon bro

I honestly don't think "very flawed" is an accurate representation of it, there were some issues and wasn't perfect by any means, but fuck none of Marvel's movies have been either. The only movies I would really consider to be actually "good" not just "good for a superhero flick" would be Iron Man 1 and Cap 2. Marvel wasn't built on "good" movies they were built on pretty fun ones.

Avengers is absolutely not a good movie it just had a ton of hype and was absolutely carried by the character interactions that made fans squeal in excitement. Thor finally talking to Iron Man talking to Captain America talking to Hulk.

The difference between this and Avengers is Avengers was undoubtedly set up better and it was the first big team up movie so it had the wow factor there. And as said Justice League was more uneven. Avengers was generically okay through the entire run with a couple of standout scenes. Justice League felt like it had some real solid scenes and more iffy scenes than Avengers.

I think I might have missed a part of the plot.

Did they explain how they knew Ship Pool + Motherbox + Speedforce was going to resurrect Clark?

It could have just as easily blown up, created another Doomsday, or done nothing at all.

And why did it have to get hit with speedforce power at the exact moment it touched the pool?

Also, why did they even KEEP the Motherboxes? It seems like it would have been smarter to either destroy them or sink them in the marianas trench.

It's in RT FAQs also it happened to Mark Hughes who was one that liked the movie. RT put up his review and labelled it rotten. There are tons of crtics giving it the same mediocre sore they gave WW but for some reason RT is labelled their reviews as rotten

>light bantz
When everytime a new cape movie comes out, every other post is "light bantz", it just becomes pointless drivel.

So we had Cyborg's CGI being the main offender, but what else in the movie had shit CGI?

Despite what can be said about Man of Steel and BvS they at least looked well polished.

>but what else in the movie had shit CGI?
Mostly Steppenwolf himself. Looked kinda glossy.

They kept the boxes so that one day a human could accidentally get fused with one, on the chance that one day Steppenwolf returns, at which point a group of superhumans would join up with him just in time to hack the boxes and send the bad guys away.

Oh, and so Superman could get rezzed with one.

They were really thinking ahead.

I literally got banned from invading a safe space. Wasn't Sup Forums laughing at safespaces just two years ago? Now we've got mods patrolling DC hugbox threads? What the fuck happened to this fucking place?

Ship pool = birthing chamber, able to rewrite/affect living beings.
Motherbox = full of creative energies, you see that after they stop Steppenwolf new life has taken over
Speedforce = they just needed more energy to jumpstart the motherbox since the ship's circuits were fried by Lex when he made Doomsday, didn't need specifically Speedforce

They did mention the worry that it could end up just Doomsday'ing him but Batman thought it was worth the risk because Steppenwolf was super tough.

As for why they didn't get rid of them, they were likely not capable of being destroyed by the Amazons, Atlanteans, or Humans.

They know Mother boxes are used to create as well as destroy as they saw it work with Cyborg. Bruce knew that Zod's body was able to be brought back in the genesis chamber. Cyborg was able to use it to restore Superman properly instead of turning him into a freak like himself

And Wonder Woman and Aquaman were against doing it

Huh I thought he looked pretty good. Even Cyborg wasn't as bad as people were making him out to be except for a couple of scenes.

These are the kind of nitpicks that make me think that you were never going to like the movie.
You can nitpick the Avengers to death as well.
All cape movies have shit plot mechanics.
>why is the Avengers initiative shut down in the beginning of The Avengers?
>the bifrost repair asspull

etc

>Did they explain how they knew Ship Pool + Motherbox + Speedforce was going to resurrect Clark?

Bruce deduces that the mother box could be used to recharge and activate Clark's cells and thus resurrect him after they get their hands to one and Cyborg explains what it does. Cyborg also states it's probable that Bruce's idea could work after running the calculations inside his brain.

Speed Force only came into the equation later, after Cyborg hooks up to the Kryptonian ship and says the circuitry in the birthing chamber was fried and there's no charge to do the resurrection, to which Barry says he could probably gather enough juice to jumpstart the process by running.

>I literally got banned from invading a safe space.

So you were probably just acting like a jackass, not adding anything to conversation and just screaming "DKEKS BTFO!" I assume? We've had rules about quality posting for years.

>implying that doesn't bother me, too.

I still can't believe they just left one of the boxes out in the open.

They were busy with Superman. It shot out of the pool with Superman. Did any of them even see where it went?

Will it make for a passable MCU flick? How would you rank it vs. the other capeshit team crossovers?
