Still disappointed how short the actual super hero fight was in this movie. How would you write your own batman v superman story Sup Forums?

I wouldn't. BvS was great the waz it was and I wouldn't be able to come up with something better.

Maybe change Doomsday for something more interesting,

First post, Snyder-fag ruined

Fuck the fight. Only anime fags and casuals care about this kind of thing. Give us Worlds Finest

I'd actually prefer if it centered around the concept of Batman fighting Superman.

>vs

I would make it into a gay porno.
In fact I would turn all of the DCEU into a gay porno with Henry Cavill, Jason Moma, Ben affleckn and Erza Miller sucking and fucking each other.

I would copy BvS scene by scene

>>Still disappointed how short the actual super hero fight was in this movie

you're a fucking moron

go suck zack's dick snyder fag

triggered much?

The fight was actually decent outside of how stupid the sink smash and the so-long-gay-bowser looked.

The rest of the movie is a complete mess, though.

#WhoWillWin

* movie posters are mostly of batman throwing punch at superman or superman getting ready to punch bats.

Dont care what they try to bullshit with, it was marketed as a VS movie

To be fair:

How else would you market it?

Not sure, but Snyder says he was going for political and religious themes or whatever...so try to give off that vibe with the posters.
Also with bats and supes they shouldve had posters that highlight each character.

Maybe bad example but Batman's would prob be, Bats is a small figure with superman looming over him with metropolis as a bg, emphasize how metropolis is cleaner and more modern than gotham, play on the whole gods and higher beings aspect.
Maybe supermans poster has batman be this sort of destructive force looming behind him so you have the shadow of the bat and the grittyness of gotham, have gotham look very torn and beaten.

Snyder also did those poster that were like street flyers and kinda looked like boxing matches. It came off as a literal fight, not as some metaphorical or existential whatever mess snyder wanted to do.

Have the actual fight between them in act 1 rather than act 3. Batman learns Superman’s identity in act 2, after snapping out of his rage mode and remembering to use his detective skills. They both learn Lex is responsible in act 3. The Doomsday fight stays as is, except Supes isn’t killed. He’s put into a supercoma and shot to the sun in the hope of recovering.

A Superman and Batman movie shouldnt be hard to come up with.
Your idea is fine, i could come up with a decent one too. Most of us here could.
Probably cause we'd want an actually good movie and not just a money making thing.

Well, here's my point: What Snyder was actually doing wasn't exactly easily marketable. "Batman fights Superman" is a far catchier premise than "Batman and Supermans archetypes and what they represent in the pop mythology of a post-9/11, pre-Trump society are questioned and deconstructed"

I wouldn't.

BvS was a *terrible* goddamn idea from the get-go. Instead of hacking together a ridiculously contrived plot in order to bring Batman and Superman to blows (not to mention shoving in shallow hack-y interpretations of BOTH TDKR and Death of Superman because they figured fanboys would circlejerk to the images taken from the comics without noticing there was NOTHING underneath -- because that worked SO WELL for Watchmen), I would have made a World's Finest movie.

Batman and Superman encountering each other for the first time. Each had heard of the other, but now they're both chasing threats that have converged. They don't initially trust or understand each other, but it's not immediately "let's find a reason to brawl, and let's find a reason that Superman doesn't cripple Batman in the first nanosecond because PREPTIME!" Instead, Superman gets to see a little underneath the mask and WHY Batman does what he does (as well as being impressed by this mere mortal pushing himself to his limits), while Batman gets to see Superman being the inspiration and hope that he is in the comics. And MAYBE, just maybe, they don't shove it "okay, now we're best buds!" by the end of the movie, but wait for the actual friendship (they're SUPPOSED to be best friends, or near enough, remember?) to develop in the following movie.

I wanted a World's Finest movie.

Instead I got BvS.

Fuck Snyder and WB with rusty axe heads for that.

I'd replace Batman's with Lex Luthor Sr.

This.

Alternatively, if I HAD to have Superman and Batman fight each other, I would've had their conflict being entirely manufactured by Lex Luthor and the two immediately coming to the conclusion that it's all Lex. In their first meet up with one another, while they don't trust each other completely, like you said, they agree that Lex is manipulating them both, so they agree to play Lex in return by pretending to fall for his scheme, while meeting up in secret to plan how to strike back against him, getting to know one another at the same time.

>JUST like my comics lol, let's make them the best of buddies in the womb!
With all these shitty plots, I understand why you guys read comics - It's because you think actual books are too long.

No fighting among heroes. Make them actually talk, Snyder be dammed.

Because BvS was so intelligent, right?

The entire story? Probably similar to what actually happened. Batman's brutality concerns Superman, while Superman's unchecked power concerns Batman. I genuinely can't see any other reason why they would fight without changing the character of either superhero.

I'd make the fight scene as a combination of
youtu.be/FInyHZDOcMg?t=1m11s
and
youtube.com/watch?v=Wp4huHUUFgw

Superman either underestimating or reluctantly fighting Batman, leading to him getting the upper hand, entering the suit, and actually standing a chance.

Compared to most movies in the genre it's Last Year in Marienbad.

>He thinks BvS was smart at all
>He thinks Superhero is a genre and not just concept for actual genres to play of off

Doesnt excuse it, he and everyone who defends BvS say that the entire movie was artfully crafted, and that Snyder had a vision. Yet his vision only went as far as the movie and he him self designed the first posters as he wanted a punk rock vibe, or something like that.
I get that "post 9/11 etc." Movie is hard to market but if thats your vision then you gotta think of all the pieces.
Thats a big reason why so many people didn't like BvS it was all over the place in so many ways, even in the marketing dept.

I was disappointed in the fact that they spoiled Doomsday and Wonder Woman. Imagine walking into the theater expecting to have just Batman and Superman fight, then it ends and they show up to fight Doomsday and then BAM Wondy shows up to complete the trinity. I would have been hyped as fuck.

Then we have the reverse, everyone and their mothers knew that Supes was coming back in JL, but WB decided to hide him during the advertising and make it some big surprise. It's like WB has no idea how to market their films

And the 9/11 thing was clearly just from the criticism of MoS.

Nolan made it a genre

I'm pretty sure the spider-Man and X-Men movies made it a genre, Nolanbat's was just the Batman movie that came out right before the super hero boom really took off

Nolan didn't even make a Superhero movie.
He made his contempt for the superhero mythos abundantly clear.

Yea that too. BvS and pretty much every DC film after MoS was reactionary.
BvS? Oh people died in MoS? Collateral damage? Address that in this movie.
SS? Well..gotta lighten it up because BvS was too dark
WW? Gotta be the "first" female cape flick out before marvel ever does.( though i do wanna add that WW is a turd but it is the least reactionary movie out of the lot)
JL? Add jokes, reshoot garbage, bunch of reactionary actions taken there, we can be fun too!
