Johns is suspiciously not being held accountable for Justice league

Let's remember the maestro behind the masterpiece

Whedon is a bigger name than Johns

Johns fans are worse apologists than Snyder's. They've all even forgotten he was behind New52 to begin with.

He and Whedon saved it from Snyder, you memers would see why if you actually watched it

And a previous attempt at retcon courtesy of SuperboyPrime's punches.

Not Lee and Didio?

We're not their press team, we don't need to partion blame. Snyder killed it, Whedon and Johns brought it back as a shambling crosswork of all their worst qualities.

Johns was made head of the DCEU well into JL's production, they were already well into filming and things couldn't just be changed outright at that point, just a few re-shoots to try and salvage whatever mess Snyder left. If Aquaman is shit we'll know if he's accountable for anything

Hey look guys it's Bizarro!

Yes, and Johns too.

Lee and Didio were behind the New52 dipshit, Johns didn't want Flashpoint to be a reboot comic, it was just a big event with Barry, Lee and Didio forced it to be a reboot comic

Johns is a hack

He wants his shit Flashpoint event to sell so bad he'll shove the name onto every media possible.

Plus he was throwing Snyder under the bus months ago already

vulture.com/2017/09/dc-wonder-woman-movie-strategy-universe.html

Yeah, he wrote the edgelord shit event comic that needlessly brought Barry back and set up the new status quo and he then got handed the JL for one of the worst runs that title had in years, but he's got nothing to do with it! And he's trying to shove a bunch of his New52 shit onto the DCEU, but it's totally not his thing!
Johns was already more than a simple writer when New52 happened, but you Johnsfags keep eating his shit.

Nobody forced him to write a terrible JL. Now with blandbirth he's hiring all his hack friends. Johns is cancer.

>Rebirth
>Bland
Bet you thought comics were better in 2009 too huh?

I can find more great comics in 2009 DC than 2017 DC if I looked. Enjoy your bendis.

Because the film is 80% Snyder.

Not being a contrarian here, but book by book, even New52 had more interesting stuff than Rebirth.
I mean, what actually good stuff is there besides Deathstroke and New Superman? Everything ranges from barely ok to just mediocre.

Rebirth is bland as fuck you can't even deny this. It has one (1) exceptional title of note and that is Deathstroke. Even New Super-Man is somewhat formulaic

At least by 2009 there were actual good Batbooks instead of the mediocre slog we have now

The same question applies to Nu52. Other than Morrison and Azzarello, much of it was mediocre to bland.

Because we're not too busy gobbling Snyder's cock to admit he's responsible.
You fags have decided you'd sooner construct an elaborate scenario where Soros and the Koch Brothers allied themselves with the reanimated zombie form of Walt Disney to hire Whedon to subvert the DCEU from within using child porn rather than ever admitting that maybe, just maybe, Zack Snyder is a hack like everyone's been saying for years.

>good batbooks
>simone batgirl
>daniel detective comics
>snyder

Maybe in some world where everything was opposite. But definitely not in our 2009.

We're talking about 2009, not 2011 you dumb fuck.

It was already being filmed when Johns came on board the DCEU you fucking knob. His presence has had no effect on neither Wonder Woman, Justice League nor Aquaman. Only after that will he start affecting the DCEU.

Hopefully.

user, that's New 52 which started in 2011.

Elegy was in Detective Comics, Snyder hadn't taken over for Black Mirror yet, Simone wasn't on Batgirl because Steph was Batgirl, and Daniel was shitting up the Batman book while Morrison was rocking the B&R book.

Nah, you had Dial H, you had Phantom Stranger, Animal Man, Swamp Thing. Even when stuff was bland or merely OK in writing you at least had some variety in art instead of this shitty house style fucks Rebirth has.

My first year of college was 2011. We had a comics elective. I hadn't read much in terms of superhero books at that point, but I was floored by how bad Justice League #1, one of the first things in our syllabus, was, and how little there was that you could derive from its scant 20 pages. And it frustratedme so much more that the entire class thought it was great and tried so hard to pretend there was deeper meaning to it.
