>mayor is constantly fucking up and never gets deposed >or if they do get deposed the new mayor is even worse, making everyone want the old mayor back
And on a related note >jerk stops being a jerk and everyone misses them being a jerk for some reason
Samuel Sanchez
Imagine a cartoon about a town that gets a new, awful mayor every episode and they have to figure how to get them out of office every week.
Like the replacements but no good ending.
Alexander Perry
>it's a girl power episode and now suddenly every male character becomes a misogynist
Aiden Miller
Great idea Would watch/10
Austin Adams
>main villain is an incompetent loser who cant accomplish anything while the real big bad is teased only for seconds before the season finale It was kind of good the first time but nowadays this has been done to death
Hunter Russell
>there's a girl power episode
Ayden Ortiz
>The barely functional fat retard father married to sexy, sassy wife.
Daniel Price
>being a princess is inherently bad and you gotta be a "epic badass warrior princess"to be worth a damn >also "le epic twist princess saves knight from dragon XD" I'd be more surprised with a simple knight fights dragon to save princess story with how done to death people try to twist it
Jordan Evans
Sounds nice.
Carson Moore
Every time. Every fucking time.
Asher Ward
>the political allegory episode
Sebastian Cook
>Imagine a cartoon where literally every episode is the same premise, and that premise is local poltics! That sounds awful.
Jordan Ward
>Female character gets character development and/or redesign >hair shortened
Nicholas Brown
>Female characters are mostly or entirely immune to slapstick
Logan Myers
>another show that has "alternate dimensions" where anything is possible This meme needs to stop, it's just a lazy way to add new settings and characters.
Isaac Richardson
>comedic show set in past >constant anachronistic jokes
It just seems lazy
Carson Howard
>Tease romance between 2 characters, they get on really well, seem like a perfect couple >Nope, can't have comfy couples, every relationship must be based on conflict and angst
Gabriel Ramirez
Any specific examples you had in mind?
Samuel James
>character is a musical god >the episode doesn't have them cover any actual song, just do short original snippets
Fuck this every single time it pops up.
Aiden Cox
Futurama did parallel universes right.
Jackson Taylor
It's rooted in truth though. You could eat babies on live TV and still remain in office thanks to Gerrymandering.
Camden Stewart
>Character meets himself from different universes >only one is a girl
Logan Thompson
>inb4 standard shitty ship pairs.
Anthony Jackson
To be fair it's a loose premise, more of a formula, that allows for a variety of situations. You can pretty much do whatever the fuck you want. I always wanted one of those to end up with the joke that "the main" version was somehow the major divergent/odd one out. Like they do the big multiversal crossover and he's the universe where he's a white guy while the rest are near identical asian women or something with minor divergences.
Ian James
>Female character is about to get rekt >Male character saves them >I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF
Justin Phillips
>fat people are always stupid, lazy, obsessed with food, disgusting, evil, incompetent, and/or comic relief
This needs to stop, it's basically criminal to stereotype any other group of people like this and shit on them that hard, but even when 2/3 of Americans and a lot of the global population are obese, it still persists somehow.
Oliver Jenkins
isn't that literally the cliff face maker episode of naruto shippuden?
guy scrapped two projects because the guy in charge: died without being sworn in officially, never got to be sworn in officially because the comatose incumbent came out of her coma.
Brayden Kelly
>inb4 "but it's true lol fatfag btfo"
Carson Ross
but it's true lol fatfag btfo
Carter Watson
the only bad thing about this trope is that is not real.
Julian Cooper
>"cartoons" are basically (poorly) illustrated radio plays that exist solely to deliver a hackneyed script
Samuel Clark
To be entirely fair, Rocky and Bullwinkle did this and was a masterpiece that can't be recreated any more.
Michael Wilson
examples?
Eli Robinson
95% of "cartoons" since the 1950s.
Dylan Stewart
Any specific examples?
Blake Kelly
>Fat people aren't portrayed as constantly excercising and never eating seriously why are we never portrayed this way? its glandular!
Xavier Fisher
*ahem*
Nicholas Roberts
isn't he like, dead?
William Martin
the only thing that needs to go away is people who use the term trope.
Robert Butler
if we weren't allowed to laugh at fat people we'd burn them at the stake.
