Just voted in Poughkeepsie New York. We had to fill out a paper ballot and insert it into a machine. The machine didn't give me verification or a paper receipt to make sure t registered correctly. I brought it up and they all said "you're in the system."
Be careful guys, I'm already filing a complaint. This is bullshit because how am I suppose to know it registered correctly.

Machine voting even with open source will never be fraud proof. There is no guarantee that the software on the machine matches the source code given to the public.
The only practical way to guarantee a fraud proof election is to submit votes by paper and have at least 2 people of opposing interests hand count the votes within the view of the public.
If the counts differ, somebody counted wrong(either on purpose or accidentally).
Being in view of the public allows anyone to triple check you by look over your shoulder if they feel like it.
