You ever just stop and think about how lucky we are to live in a universe where the MCU exists? And with mostly decent movies too?

Literally 10 years ago we all would have laughed at the idea of Hollywood even attempting this.

>10 years ago we all would have laughed at the idea of Hollywood even attempting this.
Fox has been doing it with the X-men for far longer.

No

The MCU has done nothing but bring retards into comics and this board and the movies have barely anything to do with the comics

Nice try Fox shill. They never attempted anything as grand as the MCU. Just sequels and reboots.

>They never attempted anything as grand as

you can watch all those movies without having to watch the others.

Infinity War is going to be just a bunch of fight scnes

No I don't feel lucky that we live in a world where cross-boarding Sup Forums shitposters infest this board with MCU garbage

I know everyone's just gonna be a dick about it, but I agree with you. Not even just the MCU, everything we've gotten lately. I think we've gotten too spoiled, we need to enjoy it while it lasts. We've come so far from the 2004 Catwoman days

I want the bubble to burst already

This some really shitting shilling

I like that you guys place value on this shithole and are mad about a different flavor of shit being flushed through the pipes.

The MCU isn't really anything "grand". When you think about it, it's really just a series of Avengers spinoffs. The only difference between them is some of the spinoffs came out before Avengers.

I don't really understand why I should feel like the movies are some kind of privelege. I have the comics already, there's nothing appealing to me about turning the comics I love into watered down generic Hollywood action movies that will never have the history and variety of good stories that the comics have.

>one movie every 3 years
>cant continuity
>fucked up multiple stories
>characters seperated by big time jumps

Fox has yet to pull off the x-men universe. I love many of the films, but they're not attempting any kind of actual crossover. If new mutants characters end up in x-force, then we'll see. So far its a bunch of independent franchises all based on x-men.

MCU is far more true to the spirit of Marvel than the comics.

Considering they happen in sequential order (even the first avenger being a prequel) they're nothing more than the same thing folks have always been doing. If you think about it, the MCU is really no different than the Saw movies. Endless sequels, just with more material to work with than whatever writer can come up with for a gruesome puzzle death.

It grew organically unlike those trying to imitate it.

If you told me cape movies would actually have a consistent universe 20 years ago I would have laughed.

It did not "grow organically", what the fuck does that even mean?

After Iron Man 1 was a success, they forced a shit ton of advertising into Iron Man 2 and made Thor and Captain America solely to be lead-ins for Avengers.

I agree too. The comics have been shit for years anyway, Marvel died around 1990. Have there been good comics since then? Sure, but the vast majority have been shit. Events and derivative, decompressed storytelling were choking the comics years before Iron Man came out.

Fox got better series (Legion), and Better movies(Logan) than MCU by far.

>Literally 10 years ago we all would have laughed at the idea of Hollywood even attempting this.
Two words: Showa Gojira.

The Creative Committee did those things.

Notice how the movies have been more self-contained since Perlmutter and the CC got booted.

The MCU was the best and worst thing to happen to Marvel

Best in terms of seeing big screen adaptations of everything. I flat out love that we're getting a big budget franchise coming out regularly

Worst in terms of dumbing the whole company down to tailgate what the films do. It killed creativity.

Even if they're diminishing returns in terms of quality, I think it's great. I'd have loved this shit when I was a kid, instead I wore out my VHS copy of Jurassic Park. Not complaining about that, it's still great, but I'm sure my parents would appreciate some variety.

Not once

No, but i am not a mouseketeer though.

>Actually liking Leigon
>Thinking Logan was anything more than above average

Kek. Fuck Fox and their shitty movies.

The latter negates the former. You SHOULDN’T love that we’re getting 2 Marvel movies a year, every year, for the rest of our lives. You SHOULDN’T love that they’re all comedies disguised as superhero stories. You SHOULDN’T love that Disney has successfully monopolized the genre and flooded the market so that no other competitor has a chance. You SHOULDN’T love that these current circumstances have done nothing to revitalize the comic book industry, and never will.

Marvel is on the same downtrend it was on before 2008 when the MCU happened. MCU synergy is a desperate attempt to tap into something more successful, not the cause of the low quality.

It hurts.
I mean it's not ideal but it's a dam sight better

>You SHOULDN’T love that Disney has successfully monopolized the genre and flooded the market so that no other competitor has a chance
Bullshit it has.
Warner brothers just makes shit films.

>You SHOULDN'T have an opinion different to mine.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? That a shared universe can exist in movies? even then, America had done it before with the Universal monsters. Furthermore, the point that hollywood 10 years ago wasn't really about pushing such a thing.

This real?

Oh fuck OFF!

I like going to the movies! I like to have something to look forward to and enjoying myself! And the MCU has been a consistent brand! For the longest time, going to the movies was exhausting! When LOTR hit, every other studio cranked hour 3 hour films and it just GOT SO BORING! Pirates of the Caribbean, The Matrix, just big budget film after big budget film that got so fucking bloated and long, and ended up being eh in the end!
I like the MCU! I like having a story progressing steadily over each film! I'm tired that people constantly want reboots to set it back to the hero stuck in his mom's house and the villain ruling over all! Just like how fans constantly want Spider-Man to start over and over, and keep wanting 6 films to set up the Green Goblin or Venom!
Fuck you dude! Fuck you with your pretentious anti-corporate talk or whatever and never presenting something different! You have said no alternative as to what to do! Just "HUR DUR! MCU BAD! Wait til next gritty film where Punisher shoots up a bunch of niggers!"

>>Tony apologizing to Steve
Why would they show that in a trailer?
>>Vision dying
WHY WOULD THEY SHOW THAT IN A TRAILER?

It sucks, you suck, anyone that watches it sucks.
Plebs out.

Its hardly Disney's fault that the other studios have no clue how to get people to watch movies. That Universal Monster Universe should have been like shooting fish in a barrel, but they tried to follow old rules with a new format.

I don’t how much you hate the MCU. This was impressive to watch get ripped from the comics to the big screen

Eh, the Universal Monster movies was really vague. What was the goal there? To have all the monsters team up and...fight...what? C'Thulu?

I remember the freakout when a Japanese add revealed that shot. Hell, there was insane hype to know who the Avengers were fighting at the end of that film.

I like things too, and MCU Films have so far not let me down. The only thing that makes me nervous is what it will look like post Infinity Wars.
But the thing that makes Cape movies so durable is that they can basically be whatever genre they want to be. My biggest complaint about what we have gotten so far is Marvel Studios really doesn't like to take risks with the IP. Ant Man and Winter Solider stand out because the characters fit the genre they chose for them.
Go post blacked porn on Sup Forums
There is a way to do it, Universal should have just had Del Toro helm the project.

So if you say something nice about MCU it's fine, but say something nice about Fox or DC you're a shill.
Got it, you're a retard.

>Ant-Man not in the promo art
If my bud Paul Rudd isn't in IW I'm gonna be a itty bit upset.

supposedly he has a bigger role in avengers 4 since he has his own film a few months after IW

I hope so. Love the character and potential.

He's not.

Catwoman was a good Vixen movie

>a cute cameo in the mid/end credits is the pinnacle of universe building

Let's be honest, outside of the obligatory crossover Avenger films, the true fruits of this cinematic universe didn't really start until this phase and that was by virtue of Civil War being a course-correcting, pseudo-Avengers 3 and Sony wanting Iron Man in Homecoming for bigger bucks.

>I like things too, and MCU Films have so far not let me down. The only thing that makes me nervous is what it will look like post Infinity Wars.
I'm actually embracing post IW MCU because it will probably be different. It will stop leaning back to Iron Man and Cap to support their films so much, and the end of the Infinity Stones.

BUT, we'll still be stuck with fucking Spider-Man.

It's pretty great.

I guarantee most replies will be salty assholes complaining about crossboarders and THE MOUSE though.

He's in Avengers 4. The Russos didn't want to fuck over Peyton Reed. In fact, they promised Reed they wouldn't use Wasp until he did, because they stole his Giant Man thunder.

>white hair natasha

wut

Why do the MCU creators seem sort of snobbish and shitty? Like when Feige shits on the tv side of things or when Gunn refuses to acknowledge Nova and makes the Nova corps look like shit in GOTG? I love the movies but at times it seems like the creators make shitty decisions just out of spite.

My fear is Spiderman hogging the limelight to the extent everyone else gets pushed into the background.

That sounds like fanfic BS.

Thanos could really use a hat

I completely share that fear, but let's be honest, Spider-Man is such a rookie in this universe, I doubt he'll have any substantial role in anything major.

Actually, I think "What a fucking Monkey's Paw this is."

>Like when Feige shits on the tv side of things

Ike started it. I wish they'd have made up so Matt and Frank at least can join Infinity War,

>the true fruits of this cinematic universe didn't really start until this phase
Natasha, who was introduced in Iron Man 2, and Fury, who was introduced in Iron Man and built upon in Avengers, had essential roles in Captain America: TWS. That was Phase 2, so I'm not sure how you get that it wasn't until this phase that the shared universe groundwork was cashed in on.

i wish the GoG movie was more like the source material they could even have done a whole phase about annihilation

>You ever just stop and think about how lucky we are to live in a universe where the MCU exists?

They're just fucking movies. You ever stop to think how lucky you are you can turn on a tap and get free clean drinking water?

>It grew organically

They wanted to do Avengers since Iron Man 1

>retards into comics
not really nu-marvel is nothing like the movies

>*Editors note, make sure to watch Doctor Strange to learn more about this Infinity Stone

I feel like I'm in a horrible event that wont end.

>Giant Man thunder
they really needed that because cap team was seriously underpowered

by bet is he is gonna die and have a chat with dead then he is gonna come back like in the comics

it's gonna literally end in avengers 4

Oh, that moment was fantastic, but I like how the Russos respect Peyton enough to not steal Wasp as well. So that's why Ant-Man and Wasp won't show up til Avengers 4.

It sucks that Wanda still hasn't been allowed to go HAM yet

I kind of wonder how far they can take this reboot Spider-Man, cause everything feels so...rinky dink in it.

I want to believe Death is cool, and she'll make that faggot fuck off. If he does dies, I hope she chucks him into the depths of hell so he'll stop shitting up the movie and deflating all the tension in the MCU by turning the climactic battle with Thanos into a playground brawl.

>respect Peyton
i don't get that, most of the screenplay was made by wright the main diference is nobody is a turbo cunt in the final vesion

...

There were way more changes than that.

Logan was better than all the MCU movies I saw, even with that shitty ending.

>or when Gunn refuses to acknowledge Nova
What are you talking about? He just said that he doesn't like his helmet and didn't want another human in the first couple of movies.

>and makes the Nova corps look like shit in GOTG?
The Nova Corps have always been shitters. Rich is the only one that's ever been worth a damn.

Read a fucking comic you poser.

>dull garbage that brings in retards
Fuck off with your shitty cancerous movies and die, faggot.

I have read the comics. And by 'looks like shit' I mean their costumes look stupid as fuck and nothing like the comics.

They look as much like the comics as in anything else in the MCU. Nobody's specifically picking on the Novas.
