Heh, OP's pic reminded me of this map I downloaded for Jedi Knight, where all the Civilian heads were Twi'Lek Male heads, and when you bump into them, they said DE WANNA WANGA!

We've been given the impression that Rey's going to her ass beat by Snoke. Will that be enough to bring her detractors around, or will she still be widely disliked.

If Rey beat Snoke or held her own I think pretty much everyone would agree on her Mary Sue status. I don't care about combat prowess though, I really just want a more interesting character.
If she is revealed to be a Skywalker, though, I wonder how many people will suddenly accept her feats no question.

>If she is revealed to be a Skywalker, though, I wonder how many people will suddenly accept her feats no question. That probably depends on how she's a Skywalker. Luke finally scoring with a woman who lived might make people forgive a lot. Leia for her mom would probably just have people scratching their heads and asking when? How? Both of them together would really set off a storm.
Cooper Edwards

Even Skywalker heritage wouldn't excuse the complete ass-pull that was Rey's prodigious mind trick.

I would say that I wish Adam Driver had voiced him, but I have a feeling that Adam's one of those actors who would be terrible at voice acting.
Kayden Perry
I feel sorry for you user. So angry that this man has grown from a small time writer to one of the most influential individuals on the Lucasfilm team. That you couldn't have taken his spot instead and reintroduced Mara Jade.
Easton Perry
It looks genetic from what we've seen. Cham and Hera looks different, but only in that Hera mostly just takes after her mother. Bib and his cousin have the same skin tone. The only Twi'leks we see who are confirmed siblings are also twins with the same tones.
The thing to remember is that those have always been set ethnic differences with their own internal names for ethnic groups(Rutian, Lethan, ect) for groups that developed seperatly on Ryloth. Which is mostly because the three Twi'leks in ROTJ weren't just different colors, but played by actors with different ethnicities who were visibly distinct, whereas every other alien of a species was basically identical to each other in the OT(Greedo looks like half a dozen other Rodians following Jabba around down to the clothes, All the Mon Cal until Raddus were the same shade of red and had similar heads, and the Aqualish in the cantina were identical outside their hands.
Twi'leks were the only aliens that were distinct from the get go and only got moreso after.
Elijah Perry
I have the pre-order skin and can't bring myself to actually use it, he sounds so much better with the mask on
Gabriel Russell
>That probably depends on how she's a Skywalker. Luke finally scoring with a woman who lived might make people forgive a lot.
That would imply Luke was capable of doing anything except sitting around and being sad. Which would imply people can do things that aren't related to Rey being great.
>That would imply Luke was capable of doing anything except sitting around and being sad. I don't have everyone's ages committed to memory, so take it with a grain of salt. Could Luke have fathered Rey just before his 30'th birthday, thereby blowing his chance to become a full fledged space wizard? That could help explain his power loss and grumpy attitude.
Ryder Ramirez
The Force Awakens was okay Rogue One had no character development and it's first act was weak. Nu-Canon is more organized than the Expanded Universe
Jacob Bailey
TFA was good initially, but on rewatches is somewhat bland.
Rogue One is only good from a 'look at all the new stuff I can put in my Star Wars tabletop campaign' perspective.
Nu-canon lacks content due to age, but is miles better than legends in terms of curation and progression.
Elijah Lewis
Death Troopers was a cool addition. There's a (unfair) focus on SOF in modern militaries, and Death Troopers are obviously a modern take on an SOF branch in the Imperial Navy.
Xavier Wright
Luke would have been around 34-35 when Rey was born.
Elijah Cooper
I can top this bait
TFA was a rip-off of ANH.
Rogue One was not needed.
both the new-Canon and the Expanded Universe are not canons because only the film is canon
Caleb Lopez
Death Troopers are cool, but sadly they are already being turned into useless twats thanks to Rebels.
Xavier Baker
Death Troopers are canonically all female by the way They were acted IRL by all women and Rebels confirmed it wasn't just a movie SFX thing.
Star Wars is female. Get over it
Anthony Morales
Why are the Death Troopers voices garbled in Rogue One but not in Rebels?
I think they answered this in Rebels Recon but I can’t remember.
Blake Morgan
they were pretty damn useless in the movies too, senpai
Connor Baker
Literally not true.
Evan Adams
>Nu-Canon is more organized than the Expanded Universe
I think that's what makes it so boring to me. The fact that the EU was so chaotic with absolute nonsense mixed with god-tier stories is what made it so charming. Kinda like Doctor Who, I guess, where the lows are really low but the highs are god-tier.
I saw a post on here a while back that pointed out that at the point where TFA takes place in the EU timeline, the Yuuzhan Vong war had just finished, and that really cemented how there's just going to be a 30-year period where nothing of major consequence happens in canon. Plus, they've really shot themselves in the foot by having every possible loose end basically wrap up a year after Jedi took place and given themselves barely any wiggle room for stories involving the main three. I don't know, maybe they'll surprise us after TLJ and come out with something great that functions as nuCanon's Thrawn trilogy.
Jaxson Gonzalez
He had the High Ground. How did he loose?
Adam Gomez
To be fair, the tide does turn once they were retasked from their bodyguard duties on Scarif.
In Rebels they were useless.
Caleb Hill
>not killing main characters = useless
Come on, man.
Jordan Turner
Literally true. Unless they got Doug Jones in those suits, those skinny emaciated Death Troopers were women. The Lord of the Rings used the same trick. Men in thick armour look like walking fridges. Women look normal
Andrew Kelly
Because the audience are kids and they need to know what they are saying. Plus the bodyguards didn't need to speak to Krennic, whereas this Deathtrooper needed to talk to the captain of the ship.
Samuel Rogers
Did you miss the part where Obi-Wan jumped over him and thus claimed the high ground for himself
Angel Morris
All of them are garbled except for the one that we need to hear speak Basic so the kiddies can understand what's going on.
Joshua Garcia
So you’re going off of what you assume, not fact?
Jace King
Obi-Wan had a leg up on him
Adam Martinez
Why is that last part of your post necessary? It makes you look like a smug asshole rather than someone giving out a factoid or even someone who is happy to have representation. It's as if the representation doesn't matter to you and you're just in it for getting people who would be upset by that rustled.
Daniel Morales
He didn't have the moral high ground from Obi-Wan's point of view. However since Obi-Wan has became an adulterous man slut if he ever fought again he will no longer be able to use the moral high ground again
Christopher Reed

There were a lot of gems in the Expanded Universe, unfortunately Lucasfilm just doesn't like the stinkers that had contradicted the films due to Lucas's choice of apathy when dealing with the EU when he chose to stop by and take some things or give his input,
Personally, I'd like the Nu-Canon a lot better if they introduced some of the old stories and either re-told them to fit their own timeline instead of keeping everyone guessing what they want to use and what they don't.
Luuke Skywalker was a mistake.
Isaiah Carter
Obi-wan had the high ground, from a certain point of view

I would imagine as bodyguards being able to be hear clearly would be an advantage and not being heard could be a huge security risk.

Yeah, you absolutely do not care about women in Star Wars and are just an asshole troll.
Benjamin Scott
> special cyborg bodyguards for Krennic who could oversee various military experiments Yes, yes. Very nice > guarding Thrawn So they aren't just for Krennic despite being stated as experimental, ok > guarding the superlaser crystal I guess that mission warrants them too as Krennic is involved. Weird, I thought they were just bodyguards > lone Death Troopers as Stormtrooper squad leaders in the middle of a regular factory planet despite the show using Stormtrooper Sergeants and Corporals for years in these roles AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Parker Gutierrez
I just played an amazing game as Bossk in BF2. Two versus one I was wrecking Jedi left and right and absolutely destroying the enemy. Are there any good Bossk comics I can read?
Nathaniel Gutierrez
I hate feminism and cucks too but you’re coming off like a douche.
Grayson Gomez
Oh I agree 100% that they should've remade the great stories to fit nuCanon. They had 30 fucking years to fill with those stories, and most of them could've easily worked and not fucked with the continuity of where the characters are at the start of TFA.
David Mitchell
how come Bossk's outfit is just a Rebel pilot outfit in a different color

Haven't gotten around to reading the 3rd Aftermath book yet. Rax Snoke? Or was he just a red herring?
Jaxon Harris
Red herring. As red as Rax's blood spilling all over his lair of evil in Jakku's crust.
Carson Murphy

so why did Jyn have a Kyber Crystal necklace for no narrative purpose in a movie based around the power of Kyber Crystals and including an entire sequence that takes place on a planet filled with Kyber Crystals
Nathaniel Wilson
It's a doctor who costume that got reused LOL
Luke Howard
Red herring.
Reading that trilogy, especially the first book and Empire’s End is a massive waste of time. (Even though Rae Sloane is GOAT).
