...

Because the cartoon aired on the USA channel instead of Kids WB! or even the Fox Kids block, both of which had memorable comic to cartoon adaptations.

>baby alien breaks finger
Go full fucking Imperium

>Aunt May is a Trump-fan

...

Because it isn't a very good comic? IDK what else to tell you my man. The only people still reading this tripe are the same people that have been reading it since the 90's.

This is a comic that had TWO offical crossovers with Superman.

...

...

>no cumflation
lame

Jesus

Well, yeah.

How many times do aliens show up "in peace"?

After the thirteenth Skrull invasion you would think a space wall was in order.

I'm not really familiar with Savage Dragon. Please tell me that this isn't mean to be taken seriously, and is meant to be cartoonishly over the top.

Why does he have a stache but no hair on his head?

they literally had a guy on the moon with a laser sniper to stop them

Why don't her internal organs rupture from the pressure of his load?

the fin would look silly with hair

I still can't believe he did this

I'm glad they didn't show his dick, that would have been a little adult.

which issue???

the most recent one

are there more scenes like this

This is straight-up porn.

Did they make him look extra niggerish or did he always have huge lips like that?

>NOM.NOM.NOM

That's kind of hot.
This is the originals' son, he's part spook, hence the thick features.

Wait, this was sold in comic stores...this is Marvel?
Can i have PBX released by DC with improved dialogue too?

Isn't it basically a porn comic now?

Yeah

>this is Marvel?
>Not knowing about Image and creator owned comics
Get the fuck out

...

This is wrong even by my standards, and I am CHAOS! fan.

Checked out the latest release because of this thread. What a strange comic.

It's funny, usually you have artists try to take their depraved porn comic and futility try to turn it into something more legitimate.

What the fuck happened to savage dragon? it's crazy but i don't remember it being this way.

This is just petulant and disgusting.

I suddenly don't have a problem with SJW Marvel...

Larsen always had a boner for edgy

I wonder why.

...

...

This is almost like one of those gross western porn comics that I get off to because I kinda find them gross.

Not to mention the dangers inherent to interstellar interracial mixing.

Why do you inbreds feel compelled to insert SJW every time you write Marvel? You're like vegans, instantly recognizable.

>Nordic cuckold likes to draw Asian women getting fucked by enormous buff black guys that have alien or supernatural features

What is wrong with this man?

Pure fetish fulfillment. Can't fault a guy for doing so.

...

It has been this way for a long time. Larson has always been willing to push things because he gives no fucks and I respect him for it.

I've fallen off with Dragon, but I think I need to pick it back up again.

Why would you work yourself into a shoot over something so innocuous, soyboy?

I don't see why. Besides the porn, it's pretty much INVINCIBLE and Sup Forums loves that book.

Got a proper shot of that spiky thing...it looks like digimon ripoff.

I think the thing that disappoints me most is that Erik waited 25 years to do this when he should have just started out this way back in the 90's when Savage Dragon still had a cast I could have jacked it to.

Her name is Horridus. She predates Digimon by 3 years.

Kirkman claims Savage Dragon was the hugest influnce on his works, so no wonder

Go get 'em, Hellboy.

Blame internet. Back than we were used to raunchy stuff. Now its more explicit thing we can see on the internet.
So he adjusted it over the years.

No more offical crossovers for this book I guess.

larson just keeps getting crazier.

there was no such thing in the Hellboy issue

He still salty over being turned down for spider-man?

Is that Mignola or Dragon artist?
Hellboy loks pretty gud there.

>Got a proper shot of that spiky thing...it looks like digimon ripoff.
>1992 comic rips off 2001 anime

Savage dragon started out as lighthearted comic that was tone was similar to bellboy with less horror elements. But it turned into edgy atheist furry porn. Not even kidding. It’s always monster sex and bashing Christianity. But takes time to defend Islam of course

...

>When you really wanna make a porn comic but you're trapped at Image

How can you bash Christianity while praising shittier Christianity?

That literally looks like Incase drew it.
How can you defend Islam and be a faggot with no flying superpowers.

By having no ounce of self-preservation I guess.

>That literally looks like Incase drew it.
Reminds me more of Christian Zanier, I thinks it's the shading

Well there ya have it. Nice to see you didnt take the sentence in the wrong way since its kinda convoluted.

>25 years of image comics
How is that something to be proud of? Both IDW and Archie comics surpass image comics 10 folds. Who the fuck cares about image comic besides the walking dead at this point?

Oh come on mods!

>That literally looks like Incase drew it.
It's another internet based porn artist name Kras.

I just recognized the artist.

It's fucking Krash-Zone, the guy literally makes a living drawing porn of popular cartoon and comic book characters being crack-whore prostitutes.

>half of images ITT are deleted
Thanks, hotpockets.

Kinda mirrors the creators mainstream career doesnt it

Well that explains a lot

Jesus this comic used to be entertaining, now it's just trash that should've ended a decade ago and even that is being generous

somehow he makes shadbase look good.

Shadbase would probably make Dragon entertaining since he has a semblance of dark satirical humor.

>bellboy

It's the coloring, which he's consistently not very good at. Makes all the women he draws look like they're made of plastic.

Dragon was never lighthearted in the beginning. It was very much gritty early 90's. Lots of sex and violence. Stop talking shit.

People love Saga and Monstress.

So its American version of Mad Bull 34?

I know very little about Savage Dragon, and I assume it's just a guy's donut steel Hulk that went off the rails ages back but is still being printed because the writer is too far up the hierarchy in Image to get cancelled. Is there anything else to it?

Its just Erik Larsen. It isn't a version of anything. the book has always been a response to things he feels like talking about.

Time in the book passes at roughly real time. So he will make topical books about things that piss him off.

But the book started out as a different way to take capes. Capes being cops. It had a lot of violence and a lot of sex. The original mini ends with his girlfriend being murdered right after they fucked.

And then it became other things as the series went on. More lighthearted at times, more wild at times.

>But takes time to defend Islam of course
Sauce?

But that sounds just like Mad Bull 34.
youtube.com/watch?v=JGWrnjSu8pQ

I don't really see the similarity. But I am also not very familiar with Mad Bull.

But to call it a version of something else is just inaccurate. The book is Larsen.

Aight fair enough.
So how big is the comic in sales, any numbers?

>Why isn't Savage Dragon more popular?
>it's pretty much INVINCIBLE
>Kirkman claims Savage Dragon was the hugest influnce on his works
All of this.
Savage Dragon is a kind of 90's edgy silliness somewhat like a Liefeld flavored Chaykin milkshake. Larsen was always just level-headed enough with his shit to know it's all stupid over-the-top funny book non-sense-- (his creator imprint at some point was named "Lowbrow" iirc) which made him a better read than, say, Frank Miller...

>Blame internet. Back than we were used to raunchy stuff. Now its more explicit thing we can see on the internet.
You have no idea how long I read that man puke out excuses after excuses for why none of his many full page splash sex scenes with naked people everywhere where being censored in an creator-owned indy comic because GOD FORBID Erik slips a nipple or a ballsack into one of his cape-slut orgy scenes... meanwhile our hero Dragon is fighting some Canadian shit-cannon man or one of the several naked cottage cheese hambeasts shooting out weaponized projectile-firing menstrual blood from their doom-caverns or slinging around multiple newborn fetuses around by their still-attached umbilical cords using them like morning stars.

>Its just Erik Larsen. It isn't a version of anything. the book has always been a response to things he feels like talking about.
Pretty much this.
Reading Savage Dragon is basically taking a ride along with a maniac cop only the ride has being going for 30 years and the doors are locked and you ain't getting out unless you throw yourself out the windows...

I am certain it doesn't break 10k much if at all anymore per issue.

But it was a big deal in the early 90's. It was one of the original image books that launched with Spawn and the others. So it definitely sold well enough to become a backbone book for Image for at least a decade. It also essentially became the book that Kirkman's Invincible is grounded in.

The big difference between Dragon and Youngblood or Spawn or the other books was mostly that it actually shipped regularly. Larsen pretty much proved himself to be the only guy who could stick to a schedule when it came to both writing and drawing a book.

>just start chanting Donald Trump for no reason
It's like they don't get how funny this is to us.

I haven't read this, but so... the pages posted here (at least those not removed) seem to show three children- and of the women he's in bed with, only the asian one is shown. There's also a page where it looks like one of the women dies giving birth to one of the dragon children.

So is the asian one the mother of one of them? And if so, why didn't she die giving birth like the other one (may have)?

Remember when early Image genuinely did try to push that all of their cape comics were part of an expanded universe?

That worked out well.

Erik Larsen is to 90's Image as Fred Perry is to Antarctic Press.

So how low do sales have to go before a comic gets canned in USA for smaller publishers? Like when do stores stop ordering?

A decently fair comparison. And I like both Erik and Fred a lot.
