Avatar Thread

Can we all agree that she has only lewd usage and has completely failed as the Avatar?

>lewd usage
be honest and just say objectification

She didn't just fail as an avatar.
She singlehandedly destroyed future avatars from accessing the knowledge of the past avatars.
She is worse than Wan with her stupidity

You can't "ify" something if it already is that thing.

at least she has some value to some people

Many don't even have that

Lord god I would do terrible things to her

...

...

...

...

My biggest gripe is there was no overarching threat
With last airbender you had the fire Kingdom as a whole with the royal family as the main villian for there specific seasons

...

Her strength made her attractive, and I didn't mind that she had flaws and sometimes made terrible decisions.

But she was a terrible avatar.

...

She wasn't all that bad. But the writing was.

I mean, you can't just have an unelected person in charge of the world as an unambiguously good thing outside of something very childish.

You step out of that comfort zone of evil fire lords conquering worlds, and into realm of modern-esque politics, you have to wonder who puts a literal kid in charge? And why is her word final?

That could be an interesting study on the nature of being "chosen one", but we are still stuck in being child-friendly, this is why we can't properly explore all those themes.

Especially if we come to examine and debunk Amon's agenda, that might get really uncomfortable really quick.

>that nipple SR7 forgot go erase

Korra has always been sexy. Her show just sucked.

...

I thought that this was a shitting-on-Korra thread.
Well, r34 is fine too i guess.

...

Is there art of Korra and her dog/bear?

kind of looks like a drop of sweat so good enough

>sometimes made terrible decisions
What decisions?
she got other people to sort out her problems
or
the problems just sorted themselves out.

Can we just agree that Korra was pure garbage and only her porn is good.
And not even Korrasami because that shit is puke inducing.

>And not even Korrasami because that shit is puke inducing.
Nah, Korrasami is cute.

Bryke could have made Korra good if they weren't such SJWs and still had Ehasz with them.
Aang was most talented avatar in history and he mastered elements when he was 12, which still took him a year to do.
Korra mastered three when she was fucking 4.
But well, whatever.
Let's assume they would tone it down but still make her talented as fuck, that's fine.
Let's assume they made her arrogant. That's also fine.
However, what's not fine is that world doesn't care that she's an arrogant bitch and even rewards her for it.
If they made her more like Azula in ATLA they would nail it. And they were close to that.
When Korra saw Amon take away bending (another hack writing, but whatever) she suddenly had a short mental breakdown realizing that she's a fucking nobody without the fact that she's an Avatar. It was something they could catch on to make it into some further development and make Korra mature. But no. Fuck that, we can't show womyn having any weakness now because it would be sexist.
Azula broke after Ozai ditched her when she wasn't needed anymore and her plotline essentially saved Season 3 after those hack last episodes. And if world just acknowledged that Korra was a stupid bitch, punished her for it and if she learned from her mistakes, most people would be actually fine with the show.

>People mostly complain about Korra and her character, but Suyin is honestly just more terrible as a person
>But unlike Korra, who at least suffers from some of her mistakes and is called out occasionally, Suyin is never punished and is always portrayed as a good person
Seriously, Suyin is the reason why I can't rewatch LoK. She's such an insufferable, hypocritical character. I'm surprised Bryke didn't even noticed it. And that's why Su is the most awful character in the show.

he's from Legend of Zelda right?

Womyn can't be wrong in nu-Avatar.

I seriously don't get what were they doing with her? Is she's supposedly a morally grey character or are Bryke are just dumb?

I want to break Azula and make her my slave!

...

The part that gets me is how she says she views Kuvira like a daughter, but she completely condemns her at the end, telling her supposed daughter that she will pay for her crimes. Yet, she's absolutely forgiving towards her son. Her son. The one that completely disowned her and her family. The man that designed and constructed the weapon of destruction, used to conquer his former city. Baatar was willing to kill his own people and family than Kuvira ever was.

hnnnnnnng

yep. This will do.

amazing

>I want to break Azula and make her my slave!
ah i see you're a man of culture as well

No that was Unalakaks fault.

Best ship
>Tfw asami as side girl

People always say this but it isn't really true.

The literally thousands of past avatars did shit all except make the Avatar State stronger.

The nature of time means that each Avatar only really deals with problems that involve the past, maybe, half a dozen Avatars. Look at Aang, who was able to pretty easily access a bunch of them by the end of Book 3--Roku was the only one who was of real assistance, and Kyoshi when dealing with her specific incident involving the Conqueror. Having the other Avatars past those two did nothing for Yang except tell him he should probably just kill Ozai (advice he completely went against).

Whoever is the avatar after Korra is going to be dealing with the issues of the world Aang and Korra helped form. What the fuck are Ruko and Kyoshi going to contribute to a discussion about clashes between spirits and increasing technology, or the human settlement of the spirit world, or anything at all? They have zero context or experience with whatever the post Korra avatars are going to deal with. Past avatars are only good for helping clean up their own mistakes (Ruko on Ozai, Aang on Yakone, Kyoshi on Chen, etc) and making the state more overpowered.

Unless she is killed early, Korra will be a master bender in all four elements by the time she dies. She will be the second (third?) avatar to master spirit bending. She will be the first Avatar to know metal bending, she will be the only avatar in thousands of years with personal experience with Raava and Vaatu, the only one in thousands of years to know the complete story of the first Avatar, and the Avatar who existed during the rise of technology, the unification of the two worlds and the conflicts of the modern day.

The next avatar will be absolutely fine. The only downgrade is the power of the Avatar state, and it's extremely dangerous to hang out in constantly and will still be very powerful by the time they'd be using it. The metal alone makes her more valuable than most.

Why aren’t there more /fit/ tomboys?

>Tfw Amon actually was the good guy

More or less this. What have the others done? Aang learned things the others didn’t, why didn’t they? Korra did more herself than many before her.

Azula broke after Ty Lee betrayed her, user.

Imagine being so butthurt that a show went in a direction you didn't like that you're still obsessing over storylines that got neatly wrapped up years down the line.
