David Ayer thinks the Joker should've been the main villain in Suicide Squad

Wow what a unique and controversial opinion

I don't think Jared Leto could have held the movie's attention as the actual villain.

Maybe with a better actor as the Joker that would've worked.

Cape filmmakers do enjoy their frantic fingerpointing

And everyone with a brain thinks DC should just sit in a corner putting out nothing but shitty comics until they die

>Could have had an Emperor Joker movie
>Ended up with Switch Witch

This is indeed a deep pain.

That would actually justify Harley's inclusion on the team and be Line with threats Task Force X are SUPPOSED to deal with

There's something really sad about director's responding to Twitter shitheads' criticism of their films. There's something even sadder about AGREEING with it.

Having so little vision as a creator that you desperately seek the approval of faceless social media shitposters tells me you never should have been in the big chair to begin with.

The movie would have been grabage no matter what.

He does understand people want LESS of Leto Joker, right?

Nah, he would've been great.

It's DC you're lucky he understands how to use a phone

>I don't think Jared Leto could have held the movie's attention as the actual villain.
>Maybe with a better actor as the Joker that would've worked.

The fact that we got less of Leto is probably a blessing.

>HONKA HONKA

Leto's Joker was barely in the movie, so it was hard to get a good grasp on him. In better hands he might have been good.

That would actually fulfill the group's central concept, rather than trying to make them into some retarded substitution for Superman.

That joker was fucking awful because the character was fucking awful.

It was wb producers trying to copy Nolan and making an unique version of the character even though DCEU was supposed to be loyal tot he source unlike Nolanverse that was created to be the most realistic possible, nolan only made hiw unique joker because comic joker would never work on his universe.

So why wasn't he? Ayer did write it too, right?

Or his vision was opposed by WB. Maybe he wanted Joker as the main villain and the production didn't let him. He wrote the scenario after all.

>Skwad was better than BvS
stopped reading there

>even though DCEU was supposed to be loyal tot he source
DCEU was supposed to be whatever the manchild Snyder thought was cool.

Not a bad idea if he was going to explore the Harley/Joker abusive relationship, but for that they should have had a Batman vs harley/Joker movie first to establish it.

Reasonable considering how the original trailer basically makes Joker seem like the big bad.
