Why are parents not letting their kids watch 90s cartoons when they are far better than the crap like Steven Universe and Loud House that's on today? Next time I meet a kid, I am going to have him watch 101 Dalmatians: The Series and Jungle Cubs

90s cartoons look too old.

child_abduction.swf
but seriously cadpig needs more hyper pussy porn

>Implying those were good 90s cartoons

They updated 101 Dalmatians: The Series to HD Status if you watch it on Amazon Video and iTunes.

>Rugrats
>Better than Jungle Cubs and 101 Dalmatians: The Series
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA
no. Just no. That's shit taste

wasn't there an episode where the Dalmatians learn how to program video games and use it to fuck with Cruella

I don't know, my memory of this show is very hazy

>Jungle Book for Babbies and Walt Disney Rolls in His Grave: The Animation are better than a cartoon that lasted 9 seasons, three movies, and a 5-season spinoff
HOLY KEK

Jungle Cubs is not a preschool show and neither is 101 Dalmatians: The Series. They are for Elementary Schoolers. Why do people keep calling them baby shows? Is it because they aired on Playhouse Disney back in 1999?

every episode after the first movie was shit

Still looks too old. Kids won't watch anything that isn't made on a computer.

The first season of SpongeBob wasn't made on a computer. Also I was born in 97 and I watched The Flintstones, which was known for having repeating backgrounds and not having the best animation. Heck, I grew up with fucking Jabberjaw

I'm starting to think every autistic fuck on this board who spams threads is the same person just looking for new gimmicks each time. Are you Gargoylesfag? Are you Namorfag? Are you....Barneyfag?

I don't know anything about Jungle Cubs airing on Playhouse Disney. My one and only exposure to the show was during its original run on ABC. As a 12-year old fan of The Jungle Book and TaleSpin, I found the premise of kid-sized Baloo, Louie, Shere-Kahn, etc., ridiculously corny. The plots were all generic "Kid A follows troublemaking Kid B's lead and gets into mischief" affairs, and the show had none of the charm or musicality of the movie that inspired it. It appeared to be on every level a soulless cash-grab; I didn't buy it then, and I'm not buying it now.

101 Dalmations: The Series was more of the same: loud, obnoxious kid actors going through the motions of predictable plots with hardly any respect paid to the film that inspired it. Calling it a great series is in my view tantamount to calling 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure a "great" sequel to the original movie.

>Next time I meet a kid, I am going to have him watch
You aren't going to make him watch shit. Not while you're getting raped in the ass by five BBC at the same time in maximum state prison.

This. This is the third time I’ve seen these show before, even though I know that a couple of months ago, no one cared about this “literally who” of a show. It’s just another meme that people are going to force for attention, the more that we ignore it, it would go away.

The only thing I will agree with these two is that they have cliched plots but they were still fun to watch

Bait

This is true

We're not talking about you. We're talking about kids raised on tablets and youtube and crisp vector lines at 1080p/60fps who won't care about what some caveman born in the 20th century thinks is good.

You're being sarcastic, but I was actually just watching 101 Dalmations: The Series the other day, a series that I used to mock for how shitty and cheap it looked, and I was astounded by how much better it looked compared to anything being made for TV today.

I think you overestimate how much the average kid cares about that shit.

Makes for a fine argument against nostalgia faggotry though.

I like the animation more too. Steven Universe and Loud House' character designs are too generic honestly

90s shows are better than today's crap though. I hate Breadwinners and PPG 2016. And Steven Universe is awful. Why do you hate nostalgia?

Parents nowadays are too busy. What do you think is the reason for those creepy ass youtube vids to have that much view?

Here's the thing

I would rather have kids watch the 90s shows than grown adults who have already seen these shows a million times

>I
And? What channel CEO behind animation, something very skewed to children under the age of 10, cares about what some basement dwelling fatso thinks of their shows

Yet whenever I see someone watching like say, Hey Arnold. Its always an adult most of the time. If Arnolds a kid show, how come adults are more likely to watch it than kids? Kids should watch it more cause they haven't seen it a million times like adults have

Cartoons are for all ages.

>next time I meet a kid
>instead of when I have kids

I'm glad you've accepted the fact you won't reproduce.

I will have kids. 101 Dalmatians and Jungle Cubs were very underrated. They got overshadowed by Recess. While Recess was a good show, it shouldnt've gotten more attention than Jungle Cubs and 101 Dalmatians.

Enjoy the (you)s

Am I the only one who watched Jungle Cubs, Katie and Orbie, PB&J Otter, 101 Dalmatians: The Series, Madeline, Winnie the Pooh, The Little Mermaid Cartoon Out of the Box, Rescue Rangers, Sing Me a Story With Belle, and Bear in the Big Blue House?

Recess was overrated desu. Every episode was the same. TJ makes a plan with his gang and then gets in trouble

Was that fucking thing a boy or a girl dog anyway? It has a blue collar, but it always seemed girlish to me.

I know we have the internet on computers now, but I can't be arsed looking it up. Plus it would probably result in a lot of furry porn...

What the fuck type of a question is that? Are there seriously parents telling their kids not to watch 90s cartoons? What would the reason be for this?

Because mainstream fucking parents don't know any good 90s tv shows. You gotta remember that these are parents who didn't care about the stuff like you do since you're on Sup Forums for fucksake.

The issue with 90s shit is that it gets too old, it gets seriously dated and kids lose interest in it pretty damn quickly. I mean when I was younger, I skipped Hanna-Barbara shit to watch some fucking Ed Edd n Eddy. Tired of this shit argument that parents need to make their kids watch the classics.

Kids get fucking bored as hell. Who the fuck wants to deal with that?

It's a girl. Blue collar doesn't mean boy in 101 Dalmatians. The first movie was made around a time when blue was widely considered a feminine color while red was masculine.

I was born in 1997 and I liked The Flintstones more than Johnny Bravo

SpongeBob came out in the 90s and kids love the show. Even the early seasons

Also today's cartoons are awful. Have you seen Steven Universe?

If they start out on it they'd not know any better. If you start them out at 10 years old or older, they might think something but unless it's a 240p youtube video of a 1960s cartoon it shouldn't put them entirely off if it's humorous.

Nick airs early sponge episodes, and The Splat airs older cartoons in SD, if they can handle that, they can handle what OP is discussing

So why are kids watching the crap shows like Loud House and Steven Universe?

The problem is NickSplat is targeted towards nostalgiafags at night, not kids. Come on! Those are kid shows, why are you aiming them towards nostalgiafags!? Rugrats in particular is for like fucking 4 year olds

This desu!
Just watch it with your kids and take their input!
OFC kids come into this world naked and don't know anything and so it always was a responsible parent 's job to show their children the good stuff(tm).

>calling 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure a "great" sequel to the original movie.
It may not be great but I would call it good

Because kids like random dumb fast paced humor that makes no sense. I watched an episode of SU about Cat Fingers and it was dumb and stupid

>26 posters
>no doubt half of them is that autistic OP who keeps saying he was born in 1997
Fuck off, abandon thread

>giving your 5YO smartphones
>ever

It's that cunt famicom, isn't it? Really talks like him.
I hope he dies.

>keeping a child away from versatile technology
But why? Your parents were hearing to keep kids away from video games and cartoons and look how you turned out.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Weird nostalgiafag thinks the only reason why certain 90s shows aren't popular is because millennial parents are purposefully keeping them away from One Saturday Morning like its some sort of dark knowledge.

Was going to post this, fuck you.

I mod a Sup Forums Discord with OP in it and he is so fucking infuriating to deal with.

>talks about Playhouse Disney, Arthur, and shows nobody remembers / cares about
>refuses to watch adult animation or anything not for preschoolers
>hijacks conversations to talk about this shit
>rags on modern animation for banal reasons
>cannot understand the concept of satire to save his life
>Enterfag, so he hates mean-spirited stuff

Nice thread, OP.

Not even oldfags like 90s cartoons anymore. Take off your fucking Nostalgia goggles.

101 Dalmatians: The Series and Jungle Cubs are not preschool shows

I find Loud House bland and Steven Universe takes forever to get the plot going

This. Steven Universe has a lot of Beach City filler

I would too, actually. I enjoyed it way more than I thought it would, but that doesn't mean it was respectful of its source material. More like it was fun in the way that a goofy, half-decent fanfic can be fun.

>thinking Famicom cares about Jungle Cubs and 101 Dalmations when neither was animated by TMS

Those shows were absolute crap, but they weren't for preschoolers. Honestly, throwing in the bit about refusing to watch adult animation, as if 99% of it weren't garbage, and then mocking him for what he likes, just makes you sound like an asshole.

thats your own fault for having a discord

I'm surprised people still like Steven Universe

Link to the discord?

>my childhood>your childhood

I've always wondered what's it like being so autistic?

Jesus Christ shut up

And what a waste of trips

Poochie?

That's because you're a loser. Watch Pokemon like a normal kid.

A responsible parent would make their kids read books instead.

I'd just give a kid a link to Kisscartoon and a recommendation list

How the fuck are either of those comparable to smartphones?

I was born in 96 and a majority of those cartoons don't hold up.

>Enterfag, so he hates mean-spirited stuff
Mean-spirited stuff are the shit though, it's just that one Fosters episode that started that whole shitty ass crusade.

This.

what books?

I agree and nice dubs
