Western Influences

What do you think of the uptick in western properties appearing in eastern media to much applause and celebration?

Do you salute your westaboo brothers? Or think they need to eat shit and die?

How do you feel about straight adaptations by other countries, like "Marvel Disc Wars" or the 2011 X-Men anime.

Let's hear your thoughts, Sup Forums.

Little to no seeds for all the Marvel anime, dammit, and sometimes not even raws

DC should really tap into that field.

There's one or two DBZfags that can get slightly annoying with their Superman envy in VS. threads but in general I like anime and Manga and what it's contributed to the general capeshit scene. I prefer when eastern shit puts their own spin on shit the recent appearaneof wetern superheroes i anime form is cool as long as the East keeps their own identity as far as costumes go. That Jiren dude is an example of bad design due to western influences, while old school Goku in adult from is a perfect example of excellent eastern costume design.

I like it when done well. I hate it when done poorly.

What are some examples of "poorly" in your opinion?

Araki should've changed the name to "THE NEW TEEN STANDS" going into part four

Its okay, it happened decades ago and still happens, only american purists retards would be against it.

Is this really by MHA's artist?

Why is it always Jojo?

Because you ignored everything else in the thread?

Hell no!

But this is.

Cool except for Cap's derpy face

THE DOOR SWINGS BOTH WAYS

Or rather, I think it does... I can't remember if this was a fan project or an official thing out of Bongo Comics.

...

Does it work out the other way around for you guys? American media with clear Anime and Manga influences?

Is there anyone pulling it off well? Will we ever see another Last Airbender... Or is New Yokio the best we could hope for now?

>We will never get cartoons based off popular webcomics
>We will never have a western Shonen Jump from which some animation studios could make cartoons based off of

Part of it is because animators actually get paid more than $20k/yr in the states. Part of it is that content-creating burgers don't break their backs like the nips do.

I mean, We Bare Bears is technically based on a webcomic or comic strip of some kind...

This was actually way better than it had any right to be

The plot summary I saw was nigh-impenetrable, what's it about?

Westaboo mangakas usually like Hellboy.
The guy who's doing MHA even based how he draw hands on Mignola's style
The guy who made Yu-Gi-Oh did an art trade with Mignola

Its official.

>Westaboo mangakas usually like Hellboy.
Why Hellboy of all things? Its a fairly obscure comic compared to the big two and its steeped in American and European myth and folklore.

>steeped in American and European myth and folklore.

Thats why. Its all new and unique to them.

That, and when you think about it Mignola's art style is almost the exact opposite of how manga is drawn. So thats novel to them too.

Was this the one where the writer was also doing hentai doujins that were canon to the manga?

IIRC there was even an anime whose ending sequence was based on Mignola's art on one occasion

Main character used to be a big time superhero known as Eighth Wonder when she was young nut retired after having a child. After her daughter discovers she has super powers, she starts working for the organization that her mom used to work with. Everyone assumes she's the same Eighth Wonder from the old days while she's also a huge fan of the original Eighth Wonder while being too dense to figure out it was her mom. Turns out that the villains supermilf fought back in the day were a bunch of deviants who constantly used tentacle rape machines and such against her but that stuff was kept from the public, so to try and keep her daughter from getting violated supermilf starts helping her from behind the scenes, usually getting fucked over in the process.

It's basically just softcore porn with some surprisingly good moments.

Softcore Superhero porn. Sounds right up Sup Forums's alley.

Bump.
