Here is the reason why The MCU soars and The DCEU fails.
Love/respect vs fear/money. That is the real dichotomy of most things in this reality today. Money makes you a tool, makes you weak, makes you irrelevant, etc etc.
WB wanted a slice of the capeflick pie that Marvel has been baking, so based on the atavism of money they smashed some crap together and shit it out. The people who pilot WB (into the rocky shore) have no understanding of the universe that is so beloved by many, and it really shows.
I feel bad for the people working for WB who have passion for the characters. It is their fault really, they know how production and creativity is stifled in that place, so they have no one to blame but themselves.
Bright side, a bunch of WB's animated shit is consistently good. Probably because the crafters of those have a lot more creatice control over the project since animation does not equate to billion-dollar films. Anyway, go read a real blog and stop touching yourself.

> Marvel movies > Love/Respect
90% of the writing is "hilarious" lampshading about the ridiculous bits of the universe they're adapting: stupid costumes, stupid coincidences, stupid internal logic. The writers are fucking desperate to preemptively make fun of the material in order to defuse the chances of anybody else doing that later. Writing today is about moral superiority, not about communication and trusting your audience as equals.
It just so happens that most of that writing feels inevitable "meta" and self aware, which current viewership is crazy about, since it makes them feel smart; suspension of disbelief feels like a vulnerable position for our current society and its nurturing of arrogance and exclusion.
Face it, Sup Forums. The last Marvel movies that actually believed in its own material and respected it were Raimi's Spider-Man movies.

Sure is overrated in here.

Yeah, I agree
good points

>why The MCU soars and The DCEU fails.
because all they have is Batman. Nobody even likes Aquaman or Superman
Adam Ramirez
Raimi does have love for Spidey, though. So I see you're point, but Marvel/Diney definitely respects the current makers of the MCU enough to let them tell the tales. Must be difficult, coordinating all the different makers. I'm pretty sure there is actual influence from the 616 taking place here. We should ask Morrison what he thinks of this bleed.

marvel: it's over, dc. i have the high ground.
Logan Walker
DC: You underestimate my power!
Gavin Lopez
>Must be difficult Nah just let em' do whatever and just make sure it doesn't step on the big crossover flick, and then we'll jam in a teaser for the next movie.
DC's issue isn't really cohesion it's they keep trying to apologize for the last movie and appeal to different audiences than the actual move they made, then they tear a finished movie to shreds to make it something else. Wonder Woman is the only one they didn't do that to and surprise surprise nobody is saying that's an inconsistent mess.

Best joke I've heard all day.

I thought this would be the same thing usually said, "character interactions are earned and the tone is balanced in Marvel"
You just offer a more shallow observation than most simple posts on the topic, with way more words.
Anthony Ramirez
From my perspective Justice League was good.
Gabriel Wright
I have not, nor do I have much of a desire to. But I'll watch it eventually. I hear what you're saying, they had to shoehorn him into the MCU somehow. At least he ain't JUSTice League Flash.
Benjamin Bailey
>character interactions are earned Loki.
Joshua Thomas
I'm just excited to be able to watch the MCU evolve and exist on film. Like, the continuity right now is far more accessible than the 616 comic canon. Is good sheet.
Cameron Fisher
tl;dr
The real reason is that Marvel has Kevin Feige, and WB doesn't. Also Disney shills.
Bentley Reed
>character interactions are earned and the tone is balanced in Marvel Do people actually believe this?

DCEU is bad because Zack Snyder is bad >MCU is gud Is no better than Deadpool in any way, redditor.
Ian Gutierrez
Its pretty balanced, the tone is action comedy or slightly darker action comedy.
