When I heard this was in Digimon: The Movie outside of Canada I was confused. Did Angela Anaconda even air outside of Canada?
I thought it was one of those shows made 90%+ off of government funding that networks picked up because it took up 30 minutes they could stick 8 minutes of ads into for the lowest buy-in cost possible.
How prevalent was this show on American networks, if at all? Please answer this curious Leaf.
It did air in germany
it aired on WBkids or Fox kids I honestly forget but it was on American TV and in front of Digimon
>my brother's face when he looked at me when this aired theaters
AA aired here all the time in the states alongside Digimon on Fox Kids. They aired the shows together like they were peanut butter and jelly, and that's probably the main reason why all of Digimon Sup Forums is familiar with it beyond just the short film attached with the movie.
How big is original animation in Germany? Is there any local studios or do you guys import most of your cartoons from France and America or something?
Angela Anaconda used to air every Saturday morning on Fox Kids, usually next to Digimon.
I wouldn't have called it a popular show, but all my friends who watched Digimon knew about it because it aired near Digimon on Saturday mornings.
it aired here on ABC in the mornings when I was in middle school. There was a cute episode about St. Patricks day, she wore a traffic orange cone coat and got pinched until she remembered the reverse was frozen pea green.
er, it was a reversible coat. inside wa
I remember that episode.
Oh yea, and then the girl who pinched her got gangpinched because of that rule where if you pinch someone wearing green, everybody gets to pinch you.
It was stitched onto KaBlam like some Frankestein-esque creation. That's the only reason I'm aware of its existence.
I remember it and I didn't even watch Digimon. It aired here for a good year or two and it's kind of a faint, bizarre memory to me, but I'm sure I can bring it up to some of my friends and they'll go "oh god, yeah, that show". Also, if I'm not mistaken, AA got its start as a short on Kablam which was on Nickelodeon and probably why I sometimes incorrectly remember it as a Nickelodeon show
we have some local animation series, but most of the stuff is for younger kids (and mostly spin offs of childrens books or other "multimedia-franchises"). The shows older kids watch are pretty similar to the stuff in north America I think. Over time original german animation got less and less. Now the most popular channels for kids are Nickelodeon and Disney channel.
I remember when angela anaconda was just a Kablam! short on nickelodeon
oldfag reporting in
I don't recall Angela Anaconda ever being part of Kablam! on Nick.
I unironically find her attractive
...
My first fap
Something you guys might be interested in.
I found the actual face model they used, IE the REAL Angela Anaconda.
It was created by the person behind Pepper Ann. It's less Canadian that you realize.
yeah she was a child actress
she was on that show with the old gnome couple
>she was on that show with the old gnome couple
What's this?
How do you know? I don't even think she was credited for being Angela's face and expressions
I always thought the show felt canadian though, whatever that means.

THE STORY OF A GIRL
>she was on that show with the old gnome couple
The Slap Your Shit Show?
>How do you know?
I happened to catch an interview as a kid with one of the show's creators
no it was live action and the gnomes were muppets
really, well that must be a rare fucking thing.
I never saw anything like that.
BROTHER
MY BROTHER
it was on Cheez TV if I remember right
>clip from a cartoon
>Sup Forums song
>Sup Forums context
>Reoccuring plot element was Angela and friends trying to catch their hideous teacher and husband naked
what was this show
SOMEBODY ONCE TOLD ME
Are there any lewds of Angela Anaconda?
Stop being an actual pedo. That's way to close to real child porn you pervert.
I don't even know what the fuck that is, man
slice-of-life done right
if it had a better art style Sup Forums would love it and look back fondly
It used to air on Public television here in Australia.
very rare, but it exists
Well, basically, when I was a kid we had two channels for cartoons: Super RTL, which aired all of the Disney and Nickelodeon shows, plus some other american and canadian stuff and KiKa which aired smaller european and donestic productions.
Now, take a wild guess which was the one everyone watched.
Thanks for the ptsd flashbacks a hole.
>skin not grey
reee
she looks like Anne Frank
...
Not true at all tho, Nickelodeon and Disney both can't generate more than 10% within the 4-14 years old and the numbers are even dropping. Meanwhile, Super RTL leads that group and even recovered to Pre-Disney ratings. Also, they are the only childrens channel able to attract a good adult following as they are smart enought to put the stuff which may interest adults into slots adults may actually be able to see.
Even tho it may be questionable at times, thier suits seem to have taste in cartoons, a good sense in what may become popular and good scheduling skills.
Does anyone remember All-Star playing at the end of the movie?
Anne Frank was adorable
It started as a short on Kablam. Wasn't a regular feature though like Action League Now or Sniz and Fondue.

I probably remember the show more from that instead of the actual 30 minute show on Fox Kids. If it was aired next to Digimon I think I just skipped it.
Am I the only one who likes her weird way of speaking?
I want to fuck Angela Anaconda
i like it on acounta it's a verbal tic
EVERYBODY DANCE NOW
I think I heard somewhere that they redubbed the movies in this thing with the same cast a while ago without the sloppy editing.
Please tell me this is true.
Nice
You fucking better be thinking of youtube.com
I don't think so. Cheez TV was 90% anime.
I'm pretty sure Angela was an afternoon show. It might have been on Rollercoaster.

Angela Anaconda was on ABC (nearly all Canadian cartoons were on ABC)
