She's incredibly popular on Imgur.

Because roasties are fucking stupid.

She has a tremendous amount of popularity through many other sources, meaning when the book comes out it is also popular.

>that list

Porn and Sup Forums edits.

Sarah Scribbles is a great fan of anti-inmigrants parties, also she loves the politics of Germany around the ´30

Also look they wonderful work

This is the most forced shit Sup Forums has ever produced considering they only targeted Sarah partially because they couldn’t make a dent in Assigned Male

>Assigned Male

You can't make a dent in a pile of shit

I mean, you can. But then you've got shit on your hand/foot/whatever tool you used to make the dent

She knows what appeals to masses, she's a marketing genius.

Goodreads is female and nu-male normie central, user. I only know 2 friends who hve an account there, almost every woman ive met has an account there. Of course they're gonna love Sarah's "omg she is sooo like me i should share it on facebook" Scribbles.

People like it?

what kind of shits are you taking, user?

It's appealing and the protagonist is cute. It's not rocket science, OP.

they were trying to corrupt her and try to get her to become the new ben garrison for keks.

does she come on Sup Forums

she should

one of us

>they only targeted Sarah partially because they couldn’t make a dent in Assigned Male
Why would you make edits of Assigned Male? Due to the author's complete lack of self-awareness, he already paints trannies in a worse light than anyone could possibly make up.

There's a couple good edits out there.

I liked Andersen's comic but they're so similar to each other that I can't stand to read any more.

Nothing will surpass this

STEP 1: Annoy an artist by posting Sup Forums edits of her work and spreading "she's a Nazi" memes
STEP 2: ?????
STEP 3: She hates black people now

Really, a flawless plan.

Shes doesn't.

Because the comic category is always a shitshow.

The way she draws herself kinda reminds me of an older version of Sugar Plumps from Little Inferno, for some reason

Because the whole "look at me I'm so asocial I'm an introverted nerd!" thing is popular with women, and women browse goodreads.

It actually worked once

Hey, wow. Come to think of it I've never seen a male acquaintance post anything about or mention goodreads ever.

Her comics are pretty red-pilled

Yeah, but Ben Garrison was already a right-wing hack. He was going to go full Trump no matter what Sup Forums did.

She's popular in Italy (where I am).

You continue to find new ways to disappoint me, Sup Forums. Just like you can't stop replying to bait.

...

Sup Forumsacks and their newfag Redditor refugees.

This, I'm surprised it's even allowed in bookstores. I heard Sarah's banned from entering both Germany and the UK for "inciting racial violence".

Why? does she produce a bunch of comics in italian or something?

The porn of the comic is fappable and cute.

despite liking it back then

>it's a 'haha i hate myself because i can't do nothing right haha oh no i'm the only one like this right haha' comic
basically, the easiest bait-genre of the past few years, these always get popular through 'that's so me' responses

Wait seriously, holy fuck that’s hilariously. I mean, it sucks for her, but damn that’s still hilarious.

No you idiot. Christ, how gullible are you fucks?

But... that's not a Sup Forums edit

chief-executive-officer-squirrel-64556.bitballoon.com/

Becco Giallo is her publisher for the Italian edition - they are a new publisher that focuses on non-fiction comics (history, politics, crime cases, etc). They pay for her Italian book tours.

And you immediately fail to understand why you disappoint me so. It's like clockwork.

is it true that italian women are roasties?

lol, captcha: "cilla eccetto"

So do they just promote her very well or something?
I don't understand why some rando american woman's complaints about her life in table napkin doodle form would attract a large international audience.

>thinks that image is an edit

I guess that's an actual screencap from GotG2 as well, right?

>I have shyness and nervousness aren't I quirky and cute
>maybe life will be good today
>oh no life was totally hard! (but not really, I'm a 20-something woman with every convenience in the known world but that won't stop me from whining)

Amazing.

Normalfags have shit taste, next question.

>attractive white girl in first world country
>lucked into weird popularity despite complete lack of talent
>playing life on the easiest mode possible short of being born a millionaire
>still has the balls to complain

Fuck this roastie.

It's cute.
Normies like cute.
Also the girl making it is cute.
Cute!

at least make it look like an amazon link somehow

Why can you people never read?

It's OK to laugh at racist jokes.

I wish I was a pampered white girl. I could shit on paper and people would send me money just because I exist.

where are the lewds!?

>ITT: Anons using the word roastie and trashing Sarah Anderson
Have we been invaded by /r9k/ or Sup Forums?

>defending this xkcd tier trash

Judging by your post we've been invaded by tumblr.

There are tons of cute girls making cute comics of similar or better quality out there, what makes this one so special?

>comparing Sarah's Scribbles to xkcd
So Sup Forums, then.

I voted for The Best We Could Do user, which was written by a woman of color.

What I don't understand is why Anderson's comic won over Saga or something from Marvel/DC. What pushes its popularity over other extremely popular things? It can't just be "it's SJW" because Sup Forums consistently complains about this in Saga and lots of capeshit comics.

The only one I can think of that's almost in the same vein is C. Cassandra

>It can't just be "it's SJW" because Sup Forums consistently complains about this in Saga and lots of capeshit comics
Thing is, Sarah's Scribbles is really not SJW. Why Sup Forums decided to target her is anyone's guess. She just draws cute little comics that a lot of people, especially women, apparently find relatable.

All women are roasties. European women especially.

And her stuff is much better

She's a talentless hack on par with Shen, who does nothing but make the same comic over and over again. Sup Forums just improved them, out of the goodness of their hearts.

Well, she's a much better artist. It's still terrible though.

>Sup Forums just improved them, out of the goodness of their hearts
> out of the goodness of their hearts
>Sup Forums

Italians are shit tho

Goodreads is just reflective of the core consumers of books now sadly: 18-30 year old women who prefer reading unchallenging literature. It's part of why YA books have made such a huge comeback. That demographic of women largely don't want to read something challenging, they want to read about self-inserts and validation. Which that comic delivers with its "I'm so ugly and clumsy and depressed isn't that whacky xD" bullshit.

I hate to sound /r9k/ but I fucking hate that this dumb group of people have taken over reading as a hobby.

Yes, the goodness of their hearts. They also helped Ben Garrison improve his work, leading him to becoming the leading political analyst in the world. Presidents and prime ministers have entire special task forces to monitor and analyze his latest cutting edge work.

I'm sorry that they don't see the potential in your web comic.

I prefer reading YA and middle grade in certain genres, primarily historical fiction, because they don't always end up having random sex scenes or bizarre epilogues that are for some reason a staple of the genre for 'adult' readers. I don't mean that sex is out of place in books for older readers, but for some reason with historical fiction it's like these books randomly turn into bodice-rippers at the expense of the plot and overall structure of the book. With YA or middle grade you can just have a historical story about fighting in a war or living in an occupied town in WWII or small town witch trials without "surprise! these two, who have previously never shown any indication they would ever do this, are going to randomly go out to the barn and have hot sex near a pile of pig shit for added historical grit!"

I'll never forget the betrayal of A Year of Wonders. It made it until the last 25 pages...

>the protagonist is cute
You mean the artist.

This.

You don't need to edit most of them. Post and watch normal people go WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT

Sup Forums tries anything with everyone
Calling it targetting is silly

>muh bogeyman

Ever considered it's because it's the same formulaic shit Shen does and she gets shit for the creative bankruptcy rather than some perceived Sup Forumsitical motivation?

>Sarah's Scribbles is really not SJW
Then why did I flip through the blue book in a store and see her complaining about how so much of art history is white men painting beautiful women?

Just flip a coin.

>this comic
but...this is also what she does.

I dont see them bashing Sarah as a woman and other shit and Sup Forumsacks love to pervert here (shitty) comics, like is not even the edgy kind of funny shit sometimes Sup Forums make, is the CRAWLING INTO MY SKIN type of edgy

She did once throw a fit on Sup Forums when people were sharing her anti sematic comics.

this

I love Sarah Andersen and when I grow up, I'm going to marry her. Her comics do suck, though.

Because Goodreads is a community of readers, not a bunch of morons who think comics is their secret clubhouse and despise anything popular.

MODS!!!!

Relax, I just checked and it turns out I'm actually older than she is. That's kind of depressing now that I think about it.

Just because something is popular does not make it good.

>I unironically do this
kill me

I have read at least a hundred of her little comics and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. No SJW bullshit, no pretentious bs or anything out of the ordinary.
It's just a cute comic about a cute character doing silly everyday things that most people also do but made even sillier. Sup Forums just likes to shit on it because apparently lots of girls like her comics as well so that makes it a no-no for lonely internet tough guys to like.
My gf also loves to read her works and I can see how they may be relatable to girls most of the time, my gf does the same shit regularly.

Unless you saw that in the comic (and there wasn't more to the context than what you're sharing), my statement remains true.

She absolutely does not write asinine shit like 'fleek' and 'bae' in her comics.

Nope.

Just because you don't think it's good doesn't mean it's not. Just because they think it's good doesn't mean it is. The 'goodness' of fiction of any form is entirely subjective.

There was that one comic I didn't like where she rants about dogs/pets doing no wrong, but otherwise I agree.

she's a fucking nazi

My buddy thought JL was good

It's Whomp and Tales of Mere Existence through a Kate Beatonshit filter. It's popular because it has a girl character. Girls sell things. It's like that apocryphal story about (the much funnier) Watamote - they made the central character a girl because they knew it'd sell more. Owlturd is quite literally the mirror image of this comic, yet one is met with constant derision on this site and the other has staunch defenders in every single fucking thread.

Watamote was doing shit until it was posted on this site bro
When he started printing: "Popular on a foreign imageboard!" is when he started making money

I defended Owlturd during all that bikecuck shit. I do like Sarah's Scribbles more because the art is cuter (nothing to do with her being a girl) and it's funnier.

>When he started printing: "Popular on a foreign imageboard!"
Wait, really?

I think you're pretty mistaken. That was referring to /r/anime on Reddit, not this board. They even put a reddit joke about spaghetti at the end of the next volume they published. The reason reddit gets attention like that compared to here is really just they promote buying the volumes and discs and stuff a lot more than the boards here do, so their attention actually shows up in a material way that the publishers can see.

>reddit joke about spaghetti
>Sup Forums doesnt promote material sales

because Sup Forums (and Sup Forums) is an incredibly small part of the internet, and outside of this echo chamber a lot of people think it's an okay comic

Both are cute, the protagonist is cute in a goofy way, the artist is cute in a fuckable way.
