South Park, Splatty Tomato discussion Thread
I was very disappointed. I really liked this season up til now, but out of ALL the things they set up this season, they only delivered on Heidi/Cartman.
And making another lame 'the president is nuts/lol white conservatives' joke was just lazy. Really lazy.
Why not a fucking Canada episode? At least that would have been fun.
>reminder some autistic anons are way better at writing than Trey
They really should've delayed the final episode by a week or two, they clearly needed to put a bit more work into it. Maybe even split the episode into a two parter so the plots have more room to breathe.
considering they made Terrence and Phillip old and had Canada nuked in the show, I guess we won't have many more Canadian episodes in the future.
>they only delivered on Heidi/Cartman.
Eh, it was way too rushed, like they just threw it in at the end because they ran out of time.
True, but at least there was some resolution.
Hell, I would have taken a rushed resolution for Garrison over another season of mediocre president jokes.
I just hope we get more PC Principal/Strong Woman next season.
So what is going to happen to Heidi in season 22? Is she going to go back into the background? Is she gonna become a side character like Wendy, Jimmy etc? Will she go back to being skinny?
It'd be nice if they reevaluated Kyle/Heidi.
I happened to be one of the few who liked Heidi. So I just don't want to see her end here.
Side character with the other girls hopefully. She's got no reason to hang around the boys anymore.
Kind of a shame, I liked how she could make them all laugh
there were some nice parts to it, I especially liked the final speech by heidi (even though it felt very last minute and had very little build up), but overall it was disappointing compared to last week. I don't mind the political jokes and a couple made me laugh (fox trap kek) but it just seemed incomplete or just not as realized as it could have been. And this is more of a preference thing, I thought the vomiting over the coworking romance joke was overdone and I was rolling my eyes by the end.
Overall I'm not pissed or outraged, just disappointed
making the boys be in any sort of relationship makes them shit because it affects the status quo. The only one that works was Wendy/Stan because it's not something that changes Stan's personality or behaviour towards others. And the focus of that is not an ongoing plot like Heiman, which was imo what made season 20 and 21 so shit. The only good part of it being Heidi turning fat, but guess what? they exploited that for 3 episodes and then they were done with it.
If you want to give my boys relationships either do it like Stendy or an episode for a relationship that won't change anything in the end, like Kenny/Tammy or Kyle/Rebecca.
>Maybe if Heidi/Cartman can make it so can I
>Watch has Cartman drags Heidi down the shitter
>Realize that even if I get a girlfriend, I'll just ruin her like Cartman ruined Heidi
have they shit on game of thrones recently other than the black friday episode?
because they could pull off some northern wall that's being built 10 feet higher and radioactive canadian undead plotline next season.
I think she should stay as a fat mean girl, but be in the background.
They could have a Heidi/Eric on and off thing if they wanted.
Maybe stop comparing yourself to a psychopathic elementry schooler
This episode was so mediocre even my crappy head cannon about a Toolshed Vs Human Kite episode seemed better.
Phone destroyer question, hope you guys don't mind
Why does my new shaman Token have his special effect locked?
So was Heidi intentionally affecting Cartman's accent the whole time? Her voice changes back to normal when she's breaking up with him.
goes back to how she was before the last couple seasons, hopefully she learned a thing or two
Reminder to vote for:
BEST EPISODES: strawpoll.me
WORST EPISODES: strawpoll.me
With some luck, Trey sees the results and learns from his mistakes.
I'm so glad Heidi stood up for herself.
Me too. I was worried she'd be offed.
cartman should have shot himself but since the police was instructed not to shoot the president or even joke about it, it turns out it was a rubber bullet thus making it shock end without actually killing cartman but the episode would still suck nonetheless
>Some user wrote a synopsis that turned this mediocre into a 10/10 that resolved all plot points in a way that made sense and gave characters proper development.
Well, shit. That actually works well and it was doable in 22 minutes.
Who's ready for Drake and Josh, South Park style?
poor Clyde
Now that, I would watch.
>With some luck, Trey sees the results and learns from his mistakes.
Not gonna happen, shows propaganda now.
1/7 this season. Rushed as fuck, 12 short episodes. Finale didn't close or give something to keep us hype.
The puking joke is not funny, The Canadian loyalty is completely ridiculous.
Check out YouTube link????
>thinking M&T care about pleasing anyone but themselves
they're set for life. SP getting canceled means nothing to them
>15 votes for Splatty Tomato in the WORST EPISODE category
>The same episode Normies absolutely loved
>15 votes for White People Renovating Houses in the WORST EPISODE category
>A misinformed strawman episode
>Hummels & Heroin at 17 votes for BEST EPISODE
>The three subplots actually mesh together and the humour doesn't rely on current politics so it could be considered timeless in a few years
>Put It Down at 16 votes for BEST EPISODE
>The political humour worked because the subject will still have relevance in the coming years as nuclear war has and will be an ongoing fear
I see a pattern here.
Didn't liked it at all. Overall a meh season that couldn't make up for season 19.
I kinda laughed at Randy failing to ride a bike and Cartman trying to get the town to sing. Otherwise it was mostly meh.
So You're Getting Old/ Assburgers is the true series finale right?
Put It Down is voted high for cute gay romance between shotas
I'd like to think that Put It Down was praised for its message to stop provoking other countries into a war. The texting-while-driving subplot was the icing on the cake because it still happens and it needs to stop.
That's why I liked it at least.
Fuck Garrison and fuck the Whites
Fuck you, Jason is a good boy and he dindu nuffin
Jason has a receding hairline and dark hair
George Costanza's actor is Jason Alexander
Coincidence? yes
>Put it Down in second
Damn Creekers, second would be Superhard PCness.
Justin Trudeau wasn't a cuck. Disappointing.
>that clyde
It's almost like Matt and Trey are entirely unaware this type of shit is exactly what won Trump the presidency and why even normie white people are becoming so bitter at liberals.
I'm not even bitter. It's just so.. what the fuck's the word? Overplayed? The last two years have been nothing but Trump/Political jokes from every direction. There's nothing new or interesting you can say, and this season proves that. The only funny moments from this episode had nothing to do with politics, and the same goes for the only really passable episodes of the season.
I'm equally as annoyed with the Creek pandering and the fact that they replaced Kenny with them in the whole IT/Stranger Things parody. I am so fucking sick of Creek and their one-note personalities.
This. Why not make an OC canadian president if this one isn't killing your enemy = they win.
The only thing good here were the PC principal stuff, Heidi finally breaking up with Eric and the jab at the whole 80s music.
Everything else felt flat.
They could have used the king of Canada... but at this point the only ones that did it justice was Murdoch Murdoch.
I thought the White jokes worked to start with, as it was more of people rolling their eyes at the assertion of, "better than Hillary, at least!" But then it quickly turned into a case of the Whites just being wrong/responsible and was never resolved. Instead we got more hastily crammed together Heiman shit.
They spent two seasons on Heidi, and it still managed to fill terribly rushed.
At least it's not the fuckinf Hummel episode, I guess.
So was this season good? I haven't watched southpark since season 19
Better than 20, but still pretty shit.
It's a mixed bag
It's awful, just watch the Coon and Friends episode and whatever ep 9 is called to get all the good to come from this season.
Thanks senpai, I'll just watch coon and friends then
President Garrison did nothing wrong
this.
>two white dudes devoted an episode to shitting on white people
>that part of the game where the devs want your money
Good thing I like grinding
>he thinks the pve is the game
oh user
Well I find the PVE more enjoyable, user
>Inb4 Matt is a jew
He was raised white, didn't know he has half jewish until he was 16.
And I agree user, it's weird as fuck. I guess they hate themselves.
It's decent, conclusion is lackluster but there's some good episodes in there.
after you finish it its pretty much only good for grinding up a few mats
the higher levels are pretty bullshit tho
its a card game primarily and those games are meant to be played against other players
It's an improvement over last year but not without its flaws collins ewson
>tfw you type the captcha in the message field and don't realize until it's too late
>Most importantly, remember that this IS the president so you cannot shoot him, alright? You can’t even talk about shooting him. Don’t even do any coy, satirical takes on shooting him.
>Can we talk about a friend shooting him if it’s in sort of a sarcastic way?
>n-no, no, now i-it’s just best to avoid that kind of talk altogether. Remember they can do to you what they did to kathy griffin
>Made her not funny for thirty years?
>That’s right
>The president is on the loose again!
>He'll be even more desperate now, it's going to get worse
>We can't destroy him, can we?
>I don't know. I guess... it's up to the whites
What did they mean by this? It sounds like some serious passive aggressive jabs at CC for not letting them kill garrison off
But wouldn't that mean they are sick of trump jokes and want to stop?
What's stopping them from just not doing episodes about president garrison? Why would they complain about that in an episode all about him?
Why is there this grand conspiracy about CC constantly looking over M&T's shoulder? The only time they intervened was with Muhammad, which was shitty but they probably didn't want to risk getting bombed. Otherwise the show has had free reign.
The dialog about "you can't shoot him, don't even joke about it" feels like it's literally an argument they had with CC. It's far too specific and pointed.
I can understand them not wanting to broadcast a character who is a standin for the current president getting shot and killed
You need to level him up.
>feels like
So you're speculating based on no evidence.
You can't joke about killing the president because it's illegal.
Have you ever listened to the commentaries? Watched 6 days to air? Shit like this happens all the time, they have to pass everything past CC first and sometimes they get rejected. Muhammed wasn't the only time they had done that, it's just the most prolific
>Watching the game awards
I'll laugh if FBW wins rpg pf the year
I got the impression it was straightforward. They legitimately want Trump dead, but say you can't say so in public because you'll be bashed like kathy griffin was. The rest of the episode sounded like it was written by a die-hard leftists, so I imagined this part was as well.
I can't I usually self-insert as the main characters so I can relate to it.
Acne clears up and goes back to being nice, but stays chunky.
Ms. Conduct a qt.
These are all characters with more than 10 focus episodes. Also, there are 35 episodes without Kenny, while Stan, Kyle and Cartman are tied at 8 episodes each.
She sounds so much like my old librarian that it's spooky. Even talks similarly.
OP your video is shit
So I was thinking, if the boys (and Butters) had a theme song, what would it be? My predictions would be:
>Butters
youtube.com
>Eric
youtube.com
>Kenny
youtube.com
I don't know what fucking timeline I fell into when Family Guy is now the voice of the moderate and South Park is now the voice of the libshit.
Who was the fucking memer who unironically paired them? Because that guy looks like he's getting close to getting his meme magic dream fulfilled.
>I'm equally as annoyed with the Creek pandering and the fact that they replaced Kenny with them in the whole IT/Stranger Things parody. I am so fucking sick of Creek and their one-note personalities.
You've been saying this in every damn thread. You need to let it go.__
>Family Guy
>Moderate
>After the "this is our president best friend" episode
In FBW you give clyde's dad a business card for her services
So Cartman and Clyde could be fat brothers together?
>It's almost like Matt and Trey are entirely unaware this type of shit is exactly what won Trump the presidency and why even normie white people are becoming so bitter at liberals.
The weird thing is that they know, they got it exactly right on the double down episode, that and this one seem like complete opposites.
None of their commentary on trump has been original or thought provoking
It's all been said before
They need to just ignore the president
When she started going full Cartmen with the girls at the bus stop I'd of been happy if they kept that up.
it was destined
I want this to be a thing, but I fear it won't. Please give Clyde a mommy again, even if she is a giant hoe.
>Clyde refuses to call her mom at first
>As the season goes on he keeps slipping up only to correct himself
could be neat
Man this episode's stink of liberal shit was too strong for me. Overall 4/10 episode
we need art of Cartman's mom hugging Clyde and him calling her mom
Speaking as a degenerate leftist shitskin, this episode was shit. It's not the politics: Put it Down was great and skewered Trump pretty strongly. This episode was both heavy handed and badly written.
I can't even remember the last time Matt and Trey didn't fuck up a season closer, though, so it's really my fault for expecting anything else.
nice to see someone who can put aside political blindness to see that this episode just wasnt very funny nor finale worthy, last episode was more like a finale than this
Not that guy but I'm not even into politics myself and I also felt this episode was less than lackluster.
