In my mind, I think colors are coded within certain races. So:

Black. It's obvious, really. Read Savage Dragon and tell me it's not a constant series of BLACKED. Someone like Gamora is mixed, while someone like Martian Manhunter is pure Giga Nigga.

Latino. Really, it's not even up for debate. You see someone Orange and your mind immediately goes to the Aztecs and whatnot.

Asian, really. Maybe just a remnant from those WWII Propaganda Posters, but that's how I read them.

South Europeans/Meds. White, but a bit on the "warm" side. Maybe because both the Romans and Ancient Greeks fucking loved Red back in the day, so I've connected the color with them.

Pale White ie Nordics, Anglos, etc, etc. Same as Red, but a bit on the "cooler" side.

Middle Easterns. Namely Arabs, not Indians. Dunno why, but... it just makes sense to me. Tyr'ahnee just seems like an Arab Princess to me (even if Duck Dodgers' Mars is modeled after Rome).

Some of them aren't so spot on, but the 3 I'm always sure about are "Green = Black", "Blue = Northen White" & "Red = Southern White".

It's not exactly a secret that for its reported "average" IQ in international rankings, China picks from its higher class urbanites to test. It's like if the U.S. combed through only the wealthy suburbs and silicon valley to test for its "average" IQ.
Also because averages don't tell the median, we don't know how much the average is pulled up by extreme outliers of really smart individuals.
