comfy quints

Lads. I still can't believe it happened and Trump won. I feel so empty now though. I have nothing to live for. I wanted him to win. Now it's happened I don't know what to do with myself.

Watch the doomsday clock roll back as Assad is allowed to retake Syria and the annexation of Crimea is given international recognition.

Very nice

Hopefully Trump is more cooperative with Britain.

Because although I supported Trump for lulz, he isn't going to get half the shit he said done.

Build a wall? Not happening.

If he builds a wall, Mexico ain't paying.

Ban all Muslims? Not happening?

Special enquiry into Hillary's emails? Not happening.

Unite the country? Half of them would gladly sniper him.

He'll be out in 1 term and also, Florida will turn blue due to more Mexican immigration.

Dunno why that guy said May will be out though. Labour are a fucking mess.

I think Trump will either lose 2020 or stand down for Pence/someone else

May will quit under pressure when she can't deliver Brexit

...

The problem with Trump is that he will very quickly be exposed as a liar and won't get anything done. If, however, he does by some miracle get the economy booming he may have a 2nd shot.

He's said too many ludicrous things and he can't do all of those things.

Theresa May will deliver a good brexit imo.

Think you underestimate May, we don't know much about her but what we do know is that she is stubborn and her colleages she keeps her word. I don't think May stepped up to become PM at this time just for a title, she wants her name in the books as the PM thats guides a divided nation out of the EU. If she thinks she can't get it done, she will call a general early next year around April-May.

true. he's made so many big claims it's hard to see how he can possibly deliver. the wall itself is going to cost billions and take ages

No thanks.

The wall is never going to be built. He will probably try to get it through congress and when it fails to get through, he will blame it on that.

His policy on this wall is a joke. He's changed like 10 times how tall and wide it will be. He hasn't a clue how much it will cost nor the legal difficulties on it. He hasn't consulted with any proper architects about it. Nobody knows what the material will be. And Mexico isn't going to be paying for it.

He literally just said "I BUILT TRUMP TOWER SO I CAN BUILD A WALL." and everyone just lapped it up. I would still vote for him for keks but it's such a ridiculous policy position.

The senate and house of representatives are both republican, and the judges on the supreme court are going to die soon, meaning that will be republican too.

This isn't a guarentee he can do that, but there's a good chance he can do whatever he want.

Step 1: Make a statement that breaks the people's spirit.
Step 2: Say something that makes you seem on their side.

Didn't realise you'd be still getting paid for your efforts now that Clinton is cutting her wrists in her bath.

Nope.

Tell me, step by step, how he is going to build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it. Pro tip: His website has one paragraph on the issue.

Half the senators hate him though and would vote with Democrats to shoot it down.

...

Just had a Branston Pickle, Cathedral City cheddar and crisp sandwich lads.

It was nice.

They don't hate him enough to vote down stuff like states choose gay marriage.

what?

Probably let various construction firms submit bids to build various parts or stretches of the wall for a year, then pick the ones which offer the best bids.

Then raise trade tariffs (or threaten to) on mexicos exports to the US (overwhelmingly thier biggest trade partner) until the already corrupt mexican goverment agree
Then concoct some face saving deal for them, where they enter "negotiations" and agree to certain immigration reforms in exchange for lowering tariffs to a more reasonable level, while at the same time, doing some nback room deal with mexico's corrupt government and corrupt president to pay some of their corrupt money through a series of "investments" to US companies

In his proposed one hundred day plan he states that he will deregulate and cut taxes. This alone will do a lot to boost economic growth, which means more tax will be paid to the government. On top of this there is a ~$50bn trade deficit between the US and MX, which gives the US good leverage on MX. If the US imposed harsh tariffs on MX imported goods it would do a serious number on MX's economy. Potentially, this could allow the US to get MX to sign a deal whereby they pay the US a, relatively, small amount annually to stave off trade tax hikes. It'd be a small blow for them but nowhere near as bad as a trade tax hike.

/r/ukpolitics is fucking amazing, top post ever is "Britain no longer biggest fuck up of 2016."
They've gone from teaching kids that only democracy counts to "you can openly denounce democracy if it isn't progressive enough".

...

It didn't used to be so bad, but all the lefty cunts started flowing in there after the referendum.

the supreme court is a good point. he could make it very conservative for decades.

Wonder if they'd overturn Gay marriage and abortion

I kept getting banned and then finally decided it wasn't worth it when that scouser got arrested for calling someone a monkey on /r/uk

They wouldn't have to overturn it just revert it so it's states choice. The south would immediately flip back to how it was two yewrs ago.

lel I hate Clinton just as much as Trump m8

Well I don't think Brexit is a fuck up, but there is a kernel of truth in the headline. Maybe a Trump Presidency will provide covering fire in early 2017 should May trigger Art .50 in early Febuary. Trumps 100 days should suck the oxygen out of the media/market atmosphere,

This is just the end of globalism. It was thought by the banks, politicians and media that we'd vote for globalism and then if anyone said "we didn't vote for this" they could turn back and say "yes you did", that's why the polls were so wrong before both the US election and brexit and why there were MAJOR economic repercussions when it didn't go the way they wanted and expected it to go.

This was supposed to be the end of nationalism forever, but it completely backfired on them. See also: the rigged Austrian election that is having a recount in december of this year due to obvious postal shenanigans.

>Tell me, step by step, how he is going to build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it
it's really not that difficult. Creates jobs for one, impose sanctions on Mexico two, sanctions pay for wall - easy, not to mention tolling the corridor that is already there.

what about things like abortion, affirmative action, gun control etc? I'm tempted to think Trump won't nominate hardcore theocratic loons. I don't think he cares about social issues like that

I think Trump greatly increases the chances of a successful Brexit.

May will need a favorable Bi-Lateral trade deal with the USA to get Brexit started on the right foot and increase her leverage against the fascists in the EU.

I always thought it was a bit rich of Trump to moan about "globalism" when he has factories and businesses all over the world; China, Honduras, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Turkey, India, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Slovenia, Germany, South Korea, and Mexico

Well I think it is a fight back against globalism. I don't think it is the end, I honestly dont think it can be reversed. Power no longer resides in nation parliaments and their leaders. Power has been wholesale transfered to multi-national companies.

Republicans will love that shit, the only thing he'll have a problem getting them to agree to is muh wall, because it sounds hard to pull off and not worth the money, both in construction and maintenance.

This. Had America not supported us in telling globalism to fuck off we'd have most likely ended up with a shitty brexit, but now we can fully leave as America will freely trade with us. Trump said himself we'd be first in line for talks.

He cares about the nation of America, though. That's why he's putting tariffs in place to stop US companies fucking off to China.

Yeah, there is that. But atleast it's not full Marxist esque supernational entities like the EU, NAFTA and other such now, atleast we'll have some national autonomy.

>Marxist, NAFTA

lel what

I mean this Soviet ideal that different nations should all be combined into one bloc, like the USSR and the EU.

>le Bernie Sanders would have beaten Drumpf!
I hate this meme tbqh.

the EU has very little in common with the USSR. Completely different intentions. I can't think of one communist party that is pro-EU

>Brexit
>Hungary/UK trade deal
>Trump
>LePen elected
>Farage being US embassador to EU
How shittershattered would the EU be?

>Hungary/UK trade deal
Pretty sure that's impossible m8.

Trump would like to leave a decent legacy behind. He won't touch any of those issues save from a strong pro gun control topic.

If Trump is to be succesfull he needs to:

A) Get the Economy booming.
B) Leave all social issues behind.
C) Somehow build a wall.
D) Deal with Islam/immigration.

1/2 is do-able. 3 is tricky. 4 can be done through executive orders. He will probably ban immigration from Iraq/Syria or whatever.

If he somehow pulls of building a wall then he's done pretty well.

>>Hungary/UK trade deal
what do we get from that? goulash?

He probably would have. Trump won a lot of disillusioned workers, the people who love socialist rhetoric.

The economics aren't the same, my point is the idea of combining different people with different ethnicities and different cultures and different languages into a single country because "lol fuck contries #noborders2016" is a Marxist one.

Wall engineers and cheap pussy

I don't want to come across all Nate Pig-Iron on you, but I don't think LePen has a chance. The French system is even more rigged than the USA. Fairly sure Hungary is in the EU, not sure a deal is possible there (or even desirable).

I expect Le Pen to win the first round of voting but to lose around 65-35 in the second round to Juppe

The frogs are getting pissed off, the same "this is our last chance to win before we get taken over by non whites" mentality that got Trump to power will be in play there next election, plus the sheer amount of terrorist attacks they get during Ramadan will help the FN immensely.

Well we will see, but I don't think so. Like alluded to I think she will do well but get phased out. But maybe the attacks in Paris has made some voters think again, but how many. Don't speak French, it is up to the Frenchies to meme this one.

Wall is easy. His mandate going into office is the strongest of any president in generations. He has a GOP congress that won't dare piss off the electorate. It'll pass through and he'll get it done astonishingly fast and effectively. Hey a builder. This literally is what he spent his life doing. Don't know her is better suited to built a wall then fucking Donald Trump

I thought the wall was a tounge in cheek meme, I Honestly thought it was a metaphor for a strong border, it's only recently I've realised he meant a physical wall.

Lets hope Mexicans haven't discovered ladders.
