Currently reading this. Such a cool project. Great visuals, good plot, wonky dialogue. Very Star Wars-y.

Not canon anymore

Originally this was suppose to take place before the Thrawn Trilogy.

And it makes sense given that much of the Imperial Fleet is still inact while Thrawn is basically left with a handful of SDs and has to rebuild the Imperial forces with the Katana Fleet and the cloning cylinders..

...

Love how fuckin apocalyptic the art is.

Cam Kennedy was just so very right for Star Wars.

sorry, it's still too soon for me to see images of luke like this and feel anything other than pain

thanks for posting tho

...

Anyone know what those fighters are?

I'd like to think this is the one true path.

And Disney Wars was a bad end.

This path leads to Cade.

So? Better Cade than Kylo Ben.

The Jedi are still standing and you have a functioning galactic government at the end.

IT'S NOT CANON

EU SHIT IS AUTISTIC AND GAY

TLJ IS A KINO MASTERPIECE, MIKE STOLKASA SAID SO

the pre-prequel 90s were the best SW era. Peak EU, best games, best books

Luke standing alone before an army of Imperial Walkers? The only way out of this for him is if he's an astral projection!

...

Such a great way to establish how powerful he's become

>the pre-prequel 90s were the best SW era.

So you're a fan of the Special Editions, then?

YEAH JEDI ROCKS!

...

why does the green lightsaber get disrespected so much in TLJ?

Through all of the EU lore, I always wondered: what are the two imperial factions fighting on coruscant?

Obviously one faction are loyalists, but who do the stormtroopers with red circles on their helmet represent?

The comic never says as far as I can see.

...

Sequels are all about tearing down ROTJ and the assorted characterization such as:

>assertive Han who fights for the rebellion and his friends
>jedi Luke who fights against the Empire instead of hiding away on a Jedi planet

...

I'm talking about Thrawn Trilogy & Shadows of the Empire, faggot.

Leadership squabble over who gets to run the Empire.

See

...

...

why is everyone yellow?

Well obviously, but any non-loyalist faction is considered mutinous. The comic doesn't go any farther than this.

I dunno, I just figured the EU would tell us which warlord or whatever these guys were.

...

>posting images during a storytime
Go back to Sup Forums, fags
And Disney Wars isn't canon either

>Shadows of the Empire
>good

Wow, you have the most autistic of tastes if you think that Prince Xizor shit was even remotely good.

...

Why are you posting objective truth with such a weird pic?

...

There's a roleplaying supplement by West End Games for the comic which explains the civil war in detail. In that version it's actually several different factions fighting, like COMPNOR. Google the Dark Empire Sourcebook.

Why didn't they just adapt the EU with a few tweaks here and there?

Huh. Neat. Thx user

...

less money that way

>Why didn't they just adapt the EU with a few tweaks here and there?

Because then the auteurs couldn't "make it their own thing" and "put their own personal stamp on it".

The EU does elaborately in either the DE Sourcebook or the endnotes in the DE Graphic Novel, but essentially the coalition of warlords/moffs/generals couldn't decide on a power sharing agreement and start fighting each other.

Del Rey was one of the worst things to happen to the EU.

...

Cam Kennedy draws the sexiest ships!

Del Rey had the same mentality as Abrams, tear everything down to create something new.

...

>Del Rey was one of the worst things to happen to the EU.

The "Tales from" series of anthologies were especially tedius

>Hey, remember all those character from the Cantina and Jabba's Palace? EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM is secretly a Rebel spy on a very important mission!

...

...

>"Hold it right there! I'm an agent of the Rebel Alliance!"
>"You are? I'm a Rebel, too!"
>"Hey, did I overhear you two say that your secret agents of the Rebel Alliance? I'm a secret Rebel spy, too!"
>"Dammit, is ANYONE in this Cantina NOT a Rebel spy, or are we all just wasting our time spying on each other!?"
>"..."

Too bad they never used this ship in the Prequel EU

...

oh wow this is surprisingly good

...

...

THAT'S NOT TRUE

THE PREQUELS WERE WORSE

...

...

...

...

that's not a very convincing argument

...

wow

Palpatine's face is priceless
