I think they'll end up combining it with the pre-flashpoint canon. The other kids are going to be in the movie so will most likely stick in the comics, but stuff like the Wizard choosing him specifically because he's pure of heart instead of coming across him somewhat by chance looking for various candidates will come back in.
Honestly it has a lot of neat elements I hope aren't just ignored.

Man I love a lot of Curse of Shazam, but their Sivana was really bad. It was going somewhere mildly interesting, but it had nothing to do with the original. It wasn't mildly subverted or twisted like the rest of the elements, but just the name slapped on somebody completely unrelated.
