Millennial Voters

Millennials overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton in this election. Do you believe it's just a byproduct of being a young person and as they get older they will continue to be more right leaning and conservative or do you think there's no going back with them? They have been consumed by propoganda so heavily just by being on social media constantly but also having their university proffesors warp their minds with it too.

Like most people, they will grow more conservative as they get older.

it becomes increasingly harder to support socialism as you start having to pay taxes and cope with rising living costs, I am sure.

nice meme

It's because millenials are actually informed, where as Trump supporters are dumbfucks brainwashed by talk radio and Breitbart.

its not a meme
its the truth

kids today almost all get a free ride till they leave the education systems, then they see what it takes to pay for it all, the ugly truth, then they re-evaluate their outlook on life.

WTF I hate Trump now.

>says increasingly nervous Millenial

Sure thing, pal.

I just can't help but feel that they are too far gone. Can't picture them taking a step back and taking an informative look on their own life. It's almost like once they've picked a side they have to stay there no matter what outside events happen, even if it shows that their side is wrong.

If you think high school and college are "free rides," you're sorely mistaken. Besides, even after they leave college, many young people are socialists.

It happened to me and all my friends who earn over $35k/year.

You grow more responsible, start budgeting, start a family... and you think, "Wait a second, I scratched out my place in society and worked hard to get where I am now. It's obviously not a broken system keeping everyone down, young people are just reckless idiots."

Lol ur tears will sustain me all day ;)

It's from years of brainwashing. They were born into it, they have never seen the light and thus want to drag the rest of us down into the darkness. They will not grow out of it, we must force them out and exterminate the globalist threat once and for all. No country in a sandbox somewere were they can hide, all of them must purged, along with the none jewish globalists.

Alot of millennials didn't even show up to the polls, they were too busy getting high. Just like they did with Brexit.

>tfw 18
>voted for Trump
Feels good man

checked.

Liberal Millenials will have to accept the reality of president Trump for the coming 4 years.

>Millennials overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton in this election.

ONLY THE NON-WHITE ONES.

White millennials went for Trump. And it's probably thanks to us, partially.

Except you used the same resources they used on your way there. So all you're saying is "fuck you got mine". Don't pretend you came to some epiphany.

You are Gen Z, like me, not a millenial.

I hope you enjoy when Breitbart becomes bigger than fox news Sir Cucksalot.

Most people who were conservatives/right leaning in general during their adolescence stayed that way throughout, but it's very hard to change liberals, even when reality hits them, they are often times beyond saving and completely ignorant.

Struck a nerve because it's true. Do you seriously believe the Republican voter base is more informed than the actual economic and educational centers of the country?

That's what happens when SJW antics attacks the country's majority.

You mean liberal hugboxes?

Going through school and even highschool (highschool is 12 years old to 18 years old here) I was pretty leftwing. Now at 28 years old I'm pretty right wing. People change when they're not in the educational system been brainwashed on a daily basis.

>social media
Digital media is so embedded in millennials minds that they can no longer distinguish satire/memes from actual reality. Really an entire philosophy needs to be developed to analyze this phenomenon.

Heidegger and following existentialist described this kind of relationship, but they were more talking about mans relationship with tools and work around them. I would like to see a brilliant mind apply this kind of thinking to social media and digital interactions. Like how we cannot escape it...

>college
When I was in a liberal arts school my sociology, history, and English professors had me leaning much further to the left than I ever had. Then I went to business school and returned back the the right.

I guess it the proccess of research, lectures, and writing that kind of brainwashes you into a libtard. Of course the left wants to make "higher education" free... people are so dissociated form their work these days

...

The people have spoken, get over it. You start to sound like Hillary.

millenial here, born in '96 and voted trump and my gf '98 voted for trump aswell. i blame social media, the liberal backed media poisoned thier minds. i can back that up by how easily they forgot about what happened to bernie. almost all people my age overwelmingly supported sanders but for some reason they were blindfolded when the DNC swapped bern out for shills. i hope trump can be a real wake up call for them. the liberal dream they live in blissfully must go.

>liberal nightmare

fixed that for you

People around where I live say if your not a liberal when 20 and under you have no heart, if your not a conservative when over 20 you have no brain.

Informed enough to know who was gonna win.

>Checkmate libshit

this

Apparently knowledge is a communist Cultural Marxist conspiracy.

>as they get older they will continue to be more right leaning and conservative

It's true cognitive ability declines with age. Older people lack reasoning and critical thinking skills, that's why they become conservative.

>le librul brainwashing meme

Nigger schools are filled with leftist garbage. History teachers spout more propaganda than Goebbels during a speech. And that's just here.

Millennials can be as much as 34 years old today. I think those people probably pay taxes.

But what about experience?

Sauce?

Millenials supported Hillary because they were brainwashed.
Older people supported Hillary because they could see that Trump was a dangerous retard.

cnn.com/election/results/exit-polls/national/president

Gender studies doesn't make people smart.

Depends what your "experience" is,

If you live in a backwater with no contact with people other than your small community and you get all your "news" from Fox and Talk Radio, you're gonna be a retard, and probably a conservative.

Exposure to controlled media only, simple. Same thing happened to me. If you let Colbert, Facebook, Current Year man and Kate Perry digest politics for you of course you wouldn't vote for that """""bankrupt, orange, women abusing Buffoon""""

>le nigger meme

Oh no someone said nigger on Sup Forums.

I actually don't think it's a matter of "they'll grow out of it", I think that social convention and in-grouping is more at play here. During the Obama years, you could gain a LOT of social capital by repeating some SJW stuff you read on a tumblr post. I can't tell you how many chads I've watched get laid by saying some bullshit about how good the new ghostbusters is or how women should have a "right to choose" etc etc. Most people don't genuinely care (say, would die for) these ideas, they just use them to their advantage in social situations. They use it for small talk; discussing "social justice" is like talking about the weather, going to an anti-trump rally is a social event and an easy way to meet a girl with a tounge piercing that will suck your dick.

These people, however, are basically a blank slate when it comes to actual political ideals and convictions. Most people are so apathetic that they'll go along with whatever gets them in the in-group. So, as the Right becomes more mainstream, and some talking points are ironed out, I think we'll see a lot of people coming to our side (the caveat, of course, being that they'll flip as soon as we become "uncool"). Richard Spencer talked about this in one of his podcasts recently, as it happens.

I think right now the main issue we face is image, but Pepe, meme magic, etc. actually helps us in this regard. Tumblr rhetoric is getting pretty stale, while frogtwitter, etc, is the new "counterculture" on the web. We can use this in our favor. The one thing is that I still think we need to make the transition from internet to irl eventually...

Also, I think academia gets a bad rap in all of this. Some professor teaching Marx is far less toxic (and far less influential) than these 100k+ note tumblr posts written by 16 year olds just spewing UTTER nonsense. Seriously, if you aren't on tumblr, you need to be because it's important to know just how fucked the discourse is over there

>Millennials overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton in this election

That's not true.

52% of millenials voted for Hillary. More white millennials voted for Trump. How is that "overwhelming"?

As opposed to what, being surrounded by leftist colleagues and professors and getting all your "news" from John Oliver?

Millennials supported her because she said she would provide free college.

does that mean young people are the smartest people in society?

You appear to think all opinions are equal. They're not. Evidence and reasoning demonstrates why some opinions are just plain shitty.

they are permanently retarded until real life gives them a yuge boot in the ass, which wont happen until their parents finally die

have a couple next door that eagerly swapped their bernbro signs with hildog ones and are usually hovering around all day exhuding smug - but since the election they've been shut-ins

or maybe they invented a tears-to-fuel converter for their priuses

either way its been pleasantly quiet since yesterday morning

I don't know where you got that from. If anything, I'm proposing that the majority of people think that all opinions are equal, and that it's up to *actual* political thinkers and leaders to encourage opinions that aren't shitty.
