Trump will give Assad a month to leave simply because it's cheaper to sort out Syria with someone else causing less butthurt. That someone else will come from Assad's circle.

They've been replaced by diaspora/Turk shitposters. Management has deemed them necessary for the continued life of the thread. If you do not agree/voice your displeasure with these new changes, HR will be forced to send you to mandatory minority sensitivity training for re-education. Thank you for continued support on this matter, if you have any questions, please send them to our new president and CEO, Mr. Erdogan.

20 Km, raqqah is like mosul but sdf have less resources
isis knows they cant take it, us wants to distract isis so they back off to syria and make mosul easier to take
Connor Ross
Id be surprised if they mad it to Raqqa. The Iraqis are having major trouble in Mosul and they're the ones who have an airforce, tanks and a shitton of armoured vehicles. Kurds have what? A bunch of toyotas, some plated dozers and sporadic coalition air support?
>ISIS is actually better equipped and trained than a US + NATO backed force
Just how the fuck is such a thing possible

They refuse to give the Kurds any heavy weapons because they are afraid they will turn around and use them on the Turks.
Meanwhile they will give TOW missiles and MANPADS to ISIS all day long.

Oil money is powerful m8
The pentagon can just go full "Black Operation" to keep supporting terrorists
Jeremiah Barnes
Opposite actually, they give way more advanced weapons to kurds like javelins. Tows are pretty shit compared to what sdf gets. Thats why FSA now makes propane canons and their own mortars
Ayden Gray
Rly? Is there a single video of a Javelin in this war? :S
Only from US forces embedded with Kurds, from what I can remember.

It's budgeting constraints. they spend their budget on equipping headchoppers, so there isn't enough for soldiers.

I heard rumours of cursed cameras in Syria. Apparently, Assad consulted witchdoctors, who cursed cameras and then distributed them to rebels. If the rebels did not use these cameras, then they would already have won. But the cameras. The cameras are cursed.
I can only see 3 options >they are absolutely retarded >they apply their chaos at war doctrine >they try to look retarded to cover up der eiz zour 'mistake' airstrike on saa
they showed the same exact bmp/tank assault from a drone and presented it as some amazing success

I tried to get into this whole Syria conflict but the situation is so confusing. Especially the overwhelmingly large number of militia groups. It seems like everybody is fighting everybody else and everybody is also backed by a multitude of foreign actors who try to accomplish their own geo-strategical and political goals. Is there a good source to read up on that?
And what about Saudi Arabia? I read that they support the FSA and also ISIL. Is that true? It doesn't make sense to me that they would support two groups that fight each other.
Leo Lewis
Hmmm.. I am reminded of the last action sequence erdogan pulled off.
Adrian Thomas
KSA supports FSA alone.
Juan Bennett
>It doesn't make sense to me that they would support two groups that fight each other. You know, the Pentagon arms/trains the Kurds (and also arms rebels) while the CIA arms/trains rebels
Kurds and rebels fight eachother, as well
There are a few state actors that want Assad gone and want Syria gone as ally of Iran. And they dont care what it takes to achieve that.
Ian Clark
>It doesn't make sense to me that they would support two groups that fight each other. Saudi shit money into everything anti-Assad because they have so much of it. Also Saudis aren't a monolithic block, they have dozens of princes who all favor some other militant fuckboi.

Nope. Saudis also funded ISIS, at least they did in 2014 at the latest
Caleb Lee
>And what about Saudi Arabia? I read that they support the FSA and also ISIL. Is that true? It doesn't make sense to me that they would support two groups that fight each other. Saudi Arabia is not one man. There are veeeery strong wahhabi groups that make even saudi king cower in fear. Focusing these groups on outside targets is one of biggest priorities for ruling dinasty.
