Tropes you love

>Character A saves Character B
>Shortly after, Character B saves Character A

>evil supervillain actually loves generic stand-in for Christmas

"I've always loved Good Day's Eve!"

>the new, unpredictable villain genuinely terrifies the protagonists

>comedy relief character mans the fuck up

And that time Ron became evil and turned out to be a better villain than Drakken.

...

>"That's twice now"
>"Oh so what we're counting?"

>series has an ongoing and interesting plotline
>space, aliens and interstellar wars
>we spend most episodes with common townsfolk and the human side of things.

It just makes it feel more genuine, y'know

>Villain is sympathetic but un-redeemable
>When they are finally defeated they accept their death with dignity and aren't revived

>A serious, hardcore character gets a break from their shitty life and a chance to admire the little things

>evil character A takes offense at being compared to evil character B

I didn’t know Rebecca posted on Sup Forums!

Shouldn’t you be working on the storyboards for the next next season of Filler Universe?

>MC has a goal
>he achieves it and doesn't take 20 years and 1000 episodes and 21 movies.

>when the villain tries convince the hero he’s at fault for a tragedy and/or plays the “were not so different” card, but the hero doesn’t buy it and tells the villain to fuck off

>but the hero doesn’t buy it and tells the villain to fuck off
Does this ever happen?

>Main hero becomes villain
>Former sidekick then has to man up and fight his former friend.
Thats my favorite trope.

>They use animation
>There are characters
>Said characters do things that affect them later
>References to the first act
>They learn something in the end
>The screen moves
>They make sounds
>There's a climax

The amount of works that lack these is autanding

the word you're looking for is "irredeemable," user. good taste in tropes.

>heroes are trying to escape
>about to be overrun by bad guys
>one of them stays behind so the others can escape
>seals the door or whatever so his bros can't stop him
So fucking good.

I know, but it just sounds awkward to say out loud so I use that from time to time.

> Hero confronts big bad in final showdown
>Theme song beings playing

>changes to characters/setting actually carry over to the next episode or further instead of everything returning to the status-quo like nothing happened

>hero/villain realizes what is going to happen needs all his energy/power and humbly acept dead
Or
>The hero is so gullible/pure than the villain cant be full mean with him
I wish this trope happens more

>villain becomes the good guy
>hero becomes the bad guy
it's rare but it's great when it happens
i feel like the last jedi hinted at this but knowing disney there's no way their perfect mareysue will turn to the dark side

>The villain gets together with the heroine and wins.
>The MC was a literal who that became a Hero from hard work and training. No destiny or anything like that involved.

Even better is the evil supervillain that begrudgingly agrees to stop his villainy just for the Christmas season

>main character and antagonist meet face to face
>they just hang out or do whatever like nothing's even going on
Or better yet:
>they want to stop the rivalry but can't because reasons so they set up a front of sorts

That and Kylo murderd his own father who’s a beloved character in cold blood.

Rey should've Sith'd and Finn should've Jedi'd

>Male villain is sympathetic and not total superdickery evil
>Heroine gets him to see the error of his ways or rights the wrongs he's fighting against
>He genuinely falls in love with her and joins the heroes
The bad boy who isn't is the best of both worlds. Bonus points if he redeems his cause and allies with him.

>the villain actually has a reason to do what they do or at least proper justification

If Finn would have become a Jedi to stop his friend (and Kylo?) from conquering the galaxy, I would have flipped my shit. I really like Finn as a character but I feel like they keep misusing him

>villian teams up with good guy through desperation to save the world so he can conquer it later.

>protagonist ends up being the bad guy everyone has to stop.

Tenjo tenge was hot garbage, but that was the only good thing about it.

>Episode IX is about Finn turning Rey back to the light, defeating Kylo Ren and the First Order, and finally reviving the Jedi

TFW never.
