You choose the wrong pic right?

We still getting shot before we finish our sent-

90% of the humor in this film is character/situation driven instead of finding something witty to say at the right time.

The ending scene with Aunt May screaming "what the fuck" at Peter? It's because she's surprised to find out her nephew is Spider Man.

EVERY MCU FILM after 2012.

Wrong choice, OP.

You could have your chance at having your first good comedy with Edgar Wright, but that's so far away now.

Humor came from Peter fucking up his Batman parody. Not quips.

But it wasn’t fun

The movie had a lot of quips, the trailer alone had like 5 quips and that's great because spiderman quipping is his main trait, even the most normies, even starving children in africa know that he's a quipper

>Choosing a movie with quips
>This is a bad thing despite Spiderman canonically being a character who relies in quips throughout his fights
You niggers sure are stupid

*Every Mcu movie after 2008

it's like Sup Forums doesn't know how MCU movies works

the movie is for the fans
quips are for the rest of the audience

do you really think Ant.Man could go Giant-Man without theHOLY SHIT! quip to dull it out for the regular moviegoer?

The Nolan, and Raimi trilogies engaged normies just fine without relying on constant quipping.

>Peter successfully gets information out of his perp by being Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, not Iron-Boy
>Gadgets constantly cause him to fuck up his plans
>Babysitting Protocol
>Ends up bringing in Vulture alive while wearing his old underoos
>Rejects the Iron Spider suit
>Forgoes joining the Avengers in favor of working the streets and helping the common man
>Entire theme of the movie is "clothes don't make the man"
>mfw he's gonna have to use the Iron Spider suit in Infinity War
>mfw he's still probably gonna have all kinds of retarded Iron Man gadgets (including not Jarvis) in the Homecoming sequel so Disney can sell toys
>mfw there's a slim to nil chance that he guts the Stark suit of everything but the lenses, webshooters, spider-tracers, and spider-signal and goes for a minimalist, streamlined approach that compliments his crimefighting style rather than trying to fit into the mold Iron Man wants him forced into

Just like Iron Man 3 being ignored by the next MCU movies

Alfred constantly reminded us that Batman was silly, that's your quips placeholder.
Raimi had Gobby, Science Squid and Goblin Jr.

even a Doctor Strange reference that nobody understood.

>"I'm gonna fight the alien donut in my pajamas, that's a good idea"!

>Homecoming is about Pete trying to find himself as a hero, wanting to grow up too quick and be an Avenger, learning the merits of being Peter Parker
>Iron Man gives him a suit so he can be little Iron Man, he ends up rejecting it, being his own man

>Sequel introduces the Symbiote, Peter accepts it since he can use its benefits to be a better hero (harder, better, faster, stronger, etc.), being tougher means people take this skinny kid cracking corny jokes seriously as a badass hero
>Maybe have an opening action sequence where he saves the day but gets humiliated, introduce JJJ slandering him every day in the papers; Pete just wants to be taken seriously, feels underappreciated and looked down on the same way he did at school when he was just Peter Parker
>Symbiote also makes him more aggressive; he ends up rejecting it once it wants him to cut ties with his friends and family

>Third movie has Peter make his own suit
>100% comic accurate in appearance
>Ends up becoming a scientist, shows off more of his practical skills when it comes to tinkering and problem solving
>Minimal gadgets, just the usual stuff from the classic Lee/Ditko/Romita run (tracers, signal, etc.)

>Entire theme of the series is about others wanting Peter to fit their own image, and how he can only truly mature as a hero when he learns to make his own way in the world
>Don't get hung up on being a hero, don't worry if they call you a menace; just be the most amazing, spectacular version of you that you can be, and that'll be enough

They're definitely not gonna do this, though. RDJ is gonna retire and Pete is gonna be the new smart quippy one with all the gadgets and badass toys.

I can understand if he just puts it on to fight Thanos, like, to be practical.

But it had better either get destroyed or fuck up again. He isn't Iron Man; that's literally the entire point of Homecoming. If we're gonna be super sensible about the action in these movies all of a sudden, then they should give everyone some guns so they can just shoot Thanos. Give Hulk some armor so he takes as little damage as possible and instruct him to force an H-bomb up Thanos' rectum.

Yes, Pete wearing a Stark suit would make logical sense. But so would Iron Man building suits for every Avenger.

Why everyone is not wearing Tony Stark armors then?At least Peter got super strenght, Hawkeye and Blackwidow are normal humans wearing tights and using light weapons.

Spider-Man comics have relied on quips since they first existed.

>Tony should pimp everyone's ride
he already did that in Age of Ultron. Cap got the magnetic shield, pants for Hulk and a flying belt for Thor.
of course, like Thor, the Avengers could jsut say no to Tony's upgrades

>they could just say no
And that's what Peter should do.
He's a smart kid, he doesn't need Missa Stark to watch over him, especially after all of his Iron Boy gadgets kept fucking up all throughout Homecoming.

Literally the only thing that worked properly was the parachute and maybe the drone.

THE FUNVEE XD

>Not liking the Tony/Rhody bants

do you know what happens when a toad gets struck by lightning? it quips.

Homecoming had the least amount of quips of any MCU film
