Already been discussed. Trump will use AF1 as his plane. It has extensive security and communications upgrades that would be cost prohibitive to install. Also the capacity is too low. He COULD upgrade his own plane....but it was stated that he'd have to pay for the upgrades himself and they should be well beyond even his financial abilities.

"Air Force 1" is the term whenever the president is on board an Air Force aircraft. You can substitute any other branch of service here - Navy, Marines, etc.
"Executive 1" is the term whenever the president is on board a civilian aircraft. It's only been used once - when a president took a commercial flight as a PR stunt in response to the fuel crisis in the 70s.
Who knows whether Trump would use his plane while in office - I can't think of a reason to, outside of what's effectively PR stunt purposes. The 747 that's commonly called "Air Force 1" is about twice the size (by floor space) as his current plane, has greater range, and of course all the "command and control" equipment needed to run the country.

No, "Executive 1" since his plane isn't an air force aircraft. A marine aircraft (like the presidential helicopter) is Marine 1 not Air Force 1.
I think another President had a small aircraft they flew themselves (like a Cessna). Not sure if they flew it while in office.
