Because of this man. Learn his name.

What was his name again?

good

Cuck Shroomer

You do know that the unfunny, pig faced female not-funny comedian Amy Schumer is related to this faggot?

Chuck Schumer (D-NY), incoming Senate Minority Leader. The Democrats have 48 seats and can filibuster whatever they want.

Chuck Schumer is the only based lib i know

>tfw new yorker who saw his dads life be saved by Schumers Zadroga act

Do you know how filibusters work? They can move to dismiss and force a vote with 51, you idiot.

is he amy schumer's dad?

Actually it requires 3/5ths, but Filibusters only delay the inevitable.

Only for bills that don't affect the budget (so certain appointments). And McConnell is a sucker for Senate tradition and would be wary to hit the "nuclear option" anyway.

Cousin IIRC.

Obama's agenda was blocked because a large portion of the Democrat party leaned further right than Obama. Trump is actually the opposite. He's lefter than most of them.

The senate has no power fuckhead

But the Senate also has Rand Paul.
He'll bring camping equipment if he has to.

Geez, as if we won't use the nuclear option to get a vote.

Presidency, house & senate.
It's gonna be a wonderful 4-8 years.

The Senate has a ton of power, it just can't do anything entirely by itself. The Senate is responsible for voting on appointments as well as all other legislation and could bring the whole lawmaking process to a screaming halt if it wanted to.

The thing is, Trump's party controls it.

>Not picking Bernie
They dun fucked up

Has anyone considered that because of what he did - winning without much party support - he can literally defy his own party and they can't do shit because HE won THEM the election and not the other way around?

This victory was literally all his, with maybe a tiny bone for loyalists like Carson. Ryan should just fuck off given how he behaved. Trump should shred Ryan's tax plans in front of him.

True but
>Only for bills that don't affect the budget (so certain appointments).
They all affect the budget

He can't defy Ryan/McConnell unless he can get pro-trump GOP rebels and the democrats to agree with him. The problem is, democrats like Ryan/McConnell more than the pro-Trump guys (like Sessions)

>And McConnell is a sucker for Senate tradition and would be wary to hit the "nuclear option" anyway.

Not after the shit the dems got rid of the filibuster for judges when they had power, or how they rammed through Obamacare using reconciliation bullshit. Its time for some payback and it will be glorious.
