IF all humans were willing to work as much as they were able and IF all humans were content with just what they needed and IF all humans could get along without cultural/racial/political/religious differences causing tensions that lead to people killing each other, then in that case yes, communism is a perfect system.
But none of those things are true, so instead you get gulag and millions of people starving to death.
