trump owes his presidency 100% to Canadians
Little. But I guess that little is still a great achievement coming from an anonimous bulgarian knitting forum.
not much influence at all for any 50 and over voter, but quite a bit of influence on the internet delving teens to forty-somethings, peak meme influence on the burgers in their twenties
never stop dreaming canada
reach for the starz
negligible.
the lonely neckbeards on here like to think otherwise.
More than people will admit. We spawned all the memes that jewbook made public. We ran smear campaigns against hillary and got various hashtags trending. We started the vote online thing. We spent countless hours and autism digging through emails in roll threads.
We may have not had a direct result at the polls because our numbers are not massive, but our influence was there.
Some. Not much. A lot of memes come from Sup Forums and get pushed around the Internet, and, like it or not, social media presence does have an effect on people. Also, people from Sup Forums did a lot of digging in the Podesta emails that otherwise either wouldn't have gotten done or would've gotten done a lot slower.
I think maybe we stalled CTR somewhat.
As much as Sup Forums doesn't want to admit it, we didn't create the zeitgeist; we were simply a part of it. Even if we were avant garde, we still were reacting to something inevitable.
we are innocent sir.. we have no information for you.
We definitely diverted ctr resources. There was also our part in collectively analyzing the leaks and distributing sensitive discoveries. I'm sure some of that info got legs in the normie-verse via memes. The spirit cooking thing alone had to have flipped or depressed more than a few hispanic votes.
We were the information minutemen and the paid shills were the redcoats.
Look at our memes.
They have been propagated. Our memes were born in the fires of this putrid imageboard
Now look at who uses them. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, FOX, CNN...
This place is a meme database. A lot of shit memes, but some stand the test of time. Those are the memes which decided history.
Barely any
Leftist media, liberals, third wave feminism, DNC, and shit like that got him voted in
You can continually accost an label people before they've had enough..
Americans didn't vote for trump, they voted against the establishment, just so happened he was the only viable candidate that represented anti establishment
A detrimental affect.
All of it. We literally had to bend space time and realign the dimensions into one where Trump won the presidency.
Not as big as Sup Forums likes to say, but we definitely helped Trump with digging podesta emails etc.
I want to believe our rare papes matters. You know deep down it's fucking nothing compared to Killary blowing herself out.
We are a bipartisan imageboard of peace OP.
If we had the amazing powers that certain parties in the mainstream media think we do, Ron Paul would be serving his second term.
Sup Forums helped with Wikileaks, no?
Some
He didn't say Pepe in his victory speech, so I'm voting against him. Clint Eastwood posted Pepe when Trump won Florida. Trump owes us, if I don't see some presidential shitposting I'm fucking done.
minimal. we just knew what was really happening in the world because we took the redpill, and we placed out bets.
It was a foothold they couldn't break through. If it was only reddit, youtube and twitter they could've been easily run over but Sup Forums always offered a steady base to fall back to for Trump brigades.
LOL
Sup Forums had nothing to do with it, it was le 9gag army XD
Unofficially, enough to scare shillary into calling pepe out and calling for a favor from the adl to get involved
Officially? None at all. We are a tolerant and diverse board of peace from many nationalities with Kek as our God (pbuh) and pepe as his messenger.
not much, but some. a speck
don't take this place so literally. between trump and brexit it's been a great year. euphoria spills over. praise kek
I thought it was minimal but I've had two normies mention Sup Forums "nerds" making Trump memes and spreading misinformation
so idk guys.
I think we might have actually dun good.
...
none really
redditarmy probably did a bit of damage though
>Clint Eastwood posted Pepe when Trump won Florida
No, person pretending to be Clint Eastwood posted pepe when Trump won Florida. His daughter have been trying to shut that account down for longest of time because pretending to be someone is against the law.
We probably swung a state.
Let's just say, none at all
Because if those in power think there was any real effect, they'd research it into the ground and work out ways to manipulate Sup Forums in the future.
Google/Twitter/FB all manipulated their sheep, sometimes subtly, sometimes not. But they will look at what went wrong and how to adjust the people in the future.
The CTR shilling and memes posted on Sup Forums were shit and counter-productive, but they will get better next time. Sup Forums will have to be vigilant and, if necessary, up it's game
Small but significant. Give credit to all of those that did OC in that time, specifically "Can't Stump the Trump" which became one of the bigger sensations of the election to people 20's to 30's, even by solidifying the phrase (from my personal observation).
I remember when the lad was just posting the first two on Sup Forums
Enough to tip the scales.
Sup Forums reached and influenced a lot of people. What Sup Forums does doesn't stay on Sup Forums. It gets to people like Alex Jones (Carl the cuck, AIDS skrillex, pepeys), it gets into the media, it gets on twitter. Loads of people like Emily Youcis and that kike Milo have name dropped Sup Forums in having influenced them.
Trump's support would be lower if it wasn't for Sup Forums and it might have been low enough to lose. Not only we uplifted Trump but we made Hillary and her support into a joke.
We were not a huge influence, we just made a slight push that tipped the scales in our favor.
>How much of an influence did Sup Forums have on getting Trump elected?
It had 0% influence, please go dear media analyst.
Sup Forums appeals to the conspiracy crowds, but chances are their vote was volatile to begin with.
Yeah, voter turnout was shit. But:
Trump winning is literally changing history, it's been a very long time since an underfunded candidate won.
And getting big money out of politics isn't just a silly catch phrase anymore, we dealt a massive hit to Soros.
I mean hell, Donald Trump got through the primaries without any fucking SuperPACs.
There is no way he would have won without Sup Forums's activities.
Considering that if one in every hundred voters had swung the other way Hillary would be president, I would say more than anyone will ever be willing to credit this polynesian impressionist board.
Our faith in Kek gave Trump all the strength he needed to win.
he won by a small enough margin in several states (120k votes in florida, 68k in pennsylvania, 27k in wisconsin, 12k in michigan) that i think Sup Forums played a role in tipping the scales, it's hard to quantify how big the role was obviously but Sup Forums dug through the wikileaks emails, got hashtags with OC trending on twitter (#DraftOurDaughters, #SpiritCooking), found stuff to send to journalists, spread LARPs like pic related, and for example pepe (mainly used on Sup Forums and by Sup Forums twitter trolls) caused a shitstorm which probably had the opposite effect of what hillary and the media intended because raging about a cartoon frog is silly af
>Because if those in power think there was any real effect, they'd research it into the ground and work out ways to manipulate Sup Forums in the future.
Oh you naive dunce. What makes you think they aren't already trying that.
pol might actually had a small influence... Not an american...
I would have voted Trump, but would have always voted blue, until about two years ago... then again, it was less pol itself that the changing Zeitgeist hat made me come to pol...
I think the influence of the internet in this election is not to be underestimated. The pro-trump communities all around the web may have swung hundreds of thousands of votes. Of course, we will never know exactly, but it seems reasonable to assume that the influence of alt-right/pro-trump internet communities made a difference this election cycle.
zero
>Sup Forums appeals to the conspiracy crowds
According to who? I didn't know you could do a case study of people on anonymous imageboards
Nobody has any idea how this place fucking works. And that's why people keep coming here.
Sup Forums redpills people
People redpills other people
>Because if those in power think there was any real effect, they'd research it into the ground and work out ways to manipulate Sup Forums in the future.
Meanwhile at HRC:
We made Hillary Clinton rage about a fucking cartoon frog and swear that it's a sign of racism which made her look like a retarded tool.
We helped their government with constantly checking through the new Wikileaks.
a lot, but not directly
PRAISE KEK
...
Back to Africa
That's my point you retard. I didn't think I'd need to spell it out, but Sup Forums has had a lot of newcomers recently, I should have known better
Well I got at least 3 people to vote for him, and demoralized many Hillary supporters. Several of them voted 3rd party. If a few thousand people had as much effect as me, and I hardly did anything, then 9,000 voting for trump and 20,000 not voting for crooked hillary. You guys did a lot more meme cultivating than me though. I just talked to people about politics to get a feel for what they might be responsive to.
YUGE
Hillary had a thing about pepe on her fucking website and made speeches about the 'alt right' meme
We won this
I would say it had more to do with attitude than anything else
we spread the spirit of chaos
trump was the Chaos Candidate
Funny trivia in regards to your pic:

A lot of us went to the booths for trump. That has to count for something

good to see these all on one image
we were the home base
whenever some poor daywalker was arguing 5-to-1 against normie millennial cucks on his facebook he could fall back here, copy-pasta some of the spiciest meme arguments and win over the fence-sitters watching it all play out.
Small but measurable. Memes are not something that can be disregarded in this day and age. Information is power. He who controls the memes controls the future.
In addition to that, there was quite a bit of investigation done here on Sup Forums over the podesta emails and other facets like the stonetear stuff, with info being forwarded to relevant parties in the house oversight committee, fbi, etc which directly led to certain small advancements in the cases. I wouldn't say our overall influence was huge or anything, but it was not negligible. Every few points the line was pushed help.
seems legit to me
meme magic makes anything possible
100%
trump is a mess without us
>Look at our memes.
>They have been propagated.
And inspired magazine covers!
Checked
Sup Forums is not aware of its greatness. That is why Sup Forums is truly great.
we won this for him.
Say what you will, if it wasn't for our constant Wikileaks shilling and dank pepes he would have lost.
We made it cool to support trump.
A lot.
you see humanity acts like a hivemind of some sort.
Because of the constant barrage of degeneracy and the hopelessness many people had only negative thoughts and that why whe had king nigger and almost hillary on the throne.
But once you have a group that is mentally against that rethoric, pushes itself up and is morally above the swamp of negative thought, things start to change.
Meloneux said is very nicely, our meme's snap people out of the media coverage and like a fingerstap ignite controversy and different thoughts. Bringing pepe to the mainstream was their biggest mistake. People thought, how the fuck does a green frog get on the mainshows and does so much distress? even if it was for 1 minute, people thought something else than: #imwithher.
With our energy we made people think and that brought us the victory. Yes, not everybody knew about the green frog, but thats why almost 60mil people voted for a corrupt parasite.
We made it and that is what counts.
If we can get the waterfilter salesman into the press of the white house, and trump really makes progress in his time then we can see a future that is bright and not stained by the demokretins or the moneymafia like the clintons.
We will see, everybody said that putin is a plant too when he took office after the retard yelzin.
Now mostg of the population loves him and thats for a reason.
And Germany for being so stupid the whole time.
4chinz and td got me proudly talking about don when everyone was still laughing at him and we still had 10+ candidates. as they all fell, i kept talking and my friends kept listening. at least 4 berner friends of mine voted trump. my state and county flipped. i like to think i helped even a little.
When you think back we were a major thorn in her campaign. We were a focal point for all the information and stories the MSM wanted to bury, which we ran with and spread through our twatter handles and social media. If it werent for online places like this she wouldve won. All the negative stories and theories (like her health for example) wouldve been buried without our autism getting it all out there
Sup Forums spawned the_donald
the_donald spammed Sup Forums shit into the normiesphere, giving Trump free social media publicity the likes of which the Dems couldn't match.
>they'd research it into the ground and work out ways to manipulate Sup Forums in the future
Its already fucking happening user. They are very subtle about it too. That's the way CTR worked. It got to a point where I could spot the patterns. What a shit show.
Fotunately, no one can stay around here with a functioning brain for too long and not say, "wow, really makes you think". And that's where some anons do their good deed for the day. Redpills for free. Redpills for everyone. With a side of existential despair. Best policy the Internets ever had.
if Sup Forums can meme a plane crash into happening Sup Forums can elect a president
>tfw Adolf Obama holocausted over 10 million Americans
damn...
Memes are now a weapon in politics. Our last australian election had the Labor party hiring kids to make memes. They know its powerful, but they are only powerful if done right and naturally. Expect a larger and smarter CTR equivalent in the next US election
Kek.
Unless you think that's proof of some kind of troll at HRC. Here she is:
twitter.com
youtube.com
I remember this was posted here and we got rump to retweet it and mention dozens of time on the campaign trail including in the debates
I swear to God Obama keeps getting whiter with age (within reason of course)
Was probably staining his skin back in '08 to make people forget he's half white
He's doing the reverse Cristiano Ronaldo
that is the thing, you cannot force a meme, but that doesn't stop them trying
memes are selected from many thousands, not by choice, but by their resonance at one particular time
nobody would have created Pepe, yet here we are - gives me hope for the future, some things just cannot be controlled by those cunts
We uncovered and spread the truth about Hillary among others. That alone had a YUGE impact, plus we created awareness of CTR which reduced their influence YUGELY also
...
You got that wrong, you can force a meme, but it will stick only if it has actual value. Wojak, Spurdo, the smug Pepe, all of those were forced.
Oh god I remember that shit.
Honestly wasn't a bad time to be alive.
I disagree. They had the resonance (or as you say actual value) and therefore caught on.
They were not forced on the population
it was the Sup Forums tactical trump alt-right anonymous online army
it was all us
we were paid handsomely
you data mining faggot
getting Hillary upset over a frog was funny though
All of them were forced on KC Sup Forums, for quite a long time posting Spurdo was a bannable offense. Wojak was considered as cancer too.
I knew he was going to win in August 2015. The memes early on were too dank for him to lose.
The great world meme wars have come to an end, we who fought in this war remember when we were almost defeated, we had no memes, infographics, anime-porn or bad-quality-frog-pictures left in our arsenal, we were truly overrun by shitposters trying to turn our own memes against us.
Pepe-memes even made it into national news. The enemy -the shitposters started bashing the frog.
The shitposters even tried the unthinkable -they tried to promote Jeb-Guacamole-Bush, which until the general election was one of the many climaxes of the Great Meme War.
Then both republican and democratic nomination was done, and the Great Meme War really took off.
This was it, this was the final fight, now it was time to post the greatest meme and frog pictures u had saved up and made in shitty quality in ms-paint.
Sup Forums was titanic and the shitposters were the ice berg. We were hit, water was flushing in, the ship was sinking, we had nothing left, all polls rigged, all news reports rigged, all articles rigged, they spent million on dollars on the Great Meme War.
We who today are veterans remember though times when certain Rubotos had to be dispelled.
Then it was time to meme out the Final boss -Hillary.
Endless rigged polls one after another we thought the final hour had come. Our bandwith on our servers were reached.
Then we had no more memes left, that was it......
I would argue that both of them are correct, and you're wrong.
While those things didn't necessarily keep the wishes of some anons, they delivered the keks to so many anons it didn't even fucking matter. Not many understood the Googles and Skypes meme, many lashed out against it as censorship. Weather they were CTR or not is fucking irrelevant. The kek was strong in those memes.
No man, not a single user controls the kek. The chaotic nature of the kek does not permit mortals to understand his green and jolly ways. Many fools have died trying to achieve a forced meme. The absolute madmen failed every fucking time they attempted it, even if they escaped with their lives and their sanity.
How many hours in MS paint can you waste, before you realize the foolish nature of trying to force a meme? Fight me irl.
people forget that Sup Forums (and Sup Forums) kickstarted gamergate, it's really the genesis of pushing back regressive left / SJW
then its expanded to milo, to cernovich, and a lot of big guy trump supporters
it's a huge butterfly effect from 2 years ago
My argument goes beyond Sup Forums's relationship with memes because that is the point of this thread
Then suddenly an user with post number 77777777 replied to a shitposter "Trump will win"
And the Great meme wars was about to be won. Glory to that user
In that moment when i witnessed it, tears ran down my face and i started literally shaking
Impressive recollection.
I'm still in disbelief we fought the machine and won.
0%
>I would argue that both of them are correct, and you're wrong.
I don't follow.
My point is that you can force a meme until it gains traction and then it snowballs, which unless I've been sorely mistaken for more than half a decade is the definition of a forced meme.
