The histories of man shall be naught save dreams

>The histories of man shall be naught save dreams...

Sax. Brears. Black.
Three travelers. Three journeys.
All concerning the life and times of Lovecraft.
Alongside the existence and fate of all humankind...

This is-
Alan Moore and Jacen Burrow's Lovecraft Saga

And here we go...

I got my copy of the artbook ages back, so I'll be posting pages from that at the end. Been waiting for the right time.

...

Prologue:
Winfield Lovecraft
Chicago, 1893

Wait what is this? Is this related to neomonicon/courtyard/providence?

...

Yeah, it's a semi-prologue about Winfield's mental breakdown due to syphilis.

...

...

Oh shit nice! Moore/Burrows lovecraft stuff is the bomb. I can't read right now bit will periodically bump to make sure the story time stays up for me to read later. Thanks a lot Dave!

...

...

No problem, it's gonna be a long storytime!

Book One: The Courtyard

Brooklyn, New York
October 17, 2004

...

...

...

Sure is pretty though, Sax.

...

It's a tough gig.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

God, what a creepy mural

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

The panelling in this comic is fucking insane. The way Carcosa is implied to move through the white spaces of the pages is just crazy.

...

Definitely. Carcosa is consistently the best thing about every time he shows up.

...

...

...

...

...

The man can't handle his God Gas.

...

...

...

...

...

And time passes....

...

...

I still haven't read the journal entries in the back of Providence. They make my eyes/brain hurt.

Not a fun time for Sax.

Book Two:

Brooklyn, NY - Salem, MA
Summer, 2006

Damn, those had some of the best parts of it.
Although yeah, it can be straining.

...

...

...

...

...

...

Courtyard and Neonomicon are so dense, it's a shame people dismiss them because of "lol fish rape"

...

I dismiss Neonomicon because it's very surface facing with the Lovecraft stuff. Carcosa being the only stand out.

...

...

i dismiss them because i haven't read any lovecraft

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Maybe on its own, but taken in context with the rest of the Moore/Burrows Lovecraft stuff it's great

...

Yeah, of course.

I am not going to defend Neonomicon as a singular entity. But I also wouldn't defend Providence without noting it as well. It's a weird recursive thing. Doesn't make Neonomicon better, but it makes the whole Saga more impressive at the end.

...

...

...

What a crazy bastard.
