So I guess there was no gas, sewage systems or electricity hooked up to this building?
So I guess there was no gas, sewage systems or electricity hooked up to this building?
>world's greatest super scientist
>not capable of making his building's water, gas, sewer, and electrical systems self-contained
Maybe it was a suitcase designed to look like a building?
Whats inside it then?
>world's greatest super scientist
That's not RDJ's Tony Stark
How would he make the sewage and water self contained? Are the bottom floors literally just massive vats of shit and piss?
A nuclear bomb.
wtf i hate Ant-Man now
Bitch, Pym is 10x the genius Stark THINKS he is
See those legs? Massive septic tanks.
Excuse me new greatest super scientiest of the MCU coming though
Your theory is dumb I reject it
Gross
Which brings up the question, if you pym particle an atomic bomb to a giant size, how big will the explosion be?
Genetically engineered giant ants that are shrinked down to normal ant size
reee where is my grounded realism in my comic book superhero movies
Probably be some Tetsuo shit and create a new universe
Don't think that hard about it.
Internal plausibility within the established parameters of the established fictional lore user
Could Pym singlehandedly solve the world waste problem by just shrinking all the trash down and solve worldhunger by making giant vegetables?
NO SEWAGE
MARLEL IS FINISHED
Stark is the world's best engineer, not scientist.
I mean, he's a great scientist, too, but not nearly on Pym's level.
That's not Rocket
>So I guess there was no gas, sewage systems or electricity hooked up to this building?
>>not capable of making his building's water, gas, sewer, and electrical systems self-contained
More importantly, Pym would not want to rely on external supplies of electricity, water, etc. That is a weakness that could be exploited. He doesn't want anything that could have him tracked or be used to endanger himself. He obviously lives off the grid.
If that shit bothers you maybe spend more time thinking about the mass problem. Wasn't it established that a resized object retains its mass? So a tiny building would still weigh as much as a building wouldn't it.
Knowing Pym all of that will end in disaster if he tried.
Yeah. I think he doesn't do it because he's worried that if Pym Particles go mainstream, some one will use them as weapons just like Darren Cross tried to do.
Everyone, you're forgetting the Pym Particles/Speed Force/Magic motto.
Let's see if they actually show such systems actually existing within this mundane office building, which wpuld actually be the most revolutionary reservoir of self sustaining technology ever created in history.
Yes, Pym seemingly also has effortless superhuman strength
That was Jim Shooter's take when he introduced "The New Universe". He wrote an editorial. Comic book heroes were always lifting or toppling buildings and they never had gas, sewer, or electricity connections underneath. They just detached from the ground cleanly.
Also, people in comics never went to the bathroom. How could they? Buildings had no water or sewer connections. :)
Well, The New Universe was going to be different. It would be realistic! In the first or second issue, Starbrand considers how to save a crippled ocean liner. Could he just pick it up and fly off with it? Nah! The ship would just break in half if he tried. Smarter than the average superhero.
Of course, it turned out that readers didn't want realism and logic and The New Universe didn't last all that long.
Here's how it would go
"Muh weapons" could literally be used to sum up 75 percent of all the major themes and plot points in all mcu movies. Bland generic evil corporate men in suits and creating weapons. It's so safe and easy as a threat
Dumb over used meme joke used by people incapable of sincerity in their outlandish fiction. Can't have actual lore, everything has to be draped in irony
>HAHA it's not serious bro, it's magic, isn't that so funny??
Having ready access to far more heavily advanced technology and scientific knowledge than the rest of the world from birth doesn't necessarily mean you're the best scientist, just that you know more by virtue of having access to materials and information other's don't.
She's probably more knowledgeable than Stark, for example, but that doesn't mean she's smarter than he is. Her tech seems to be a heavy expansion of existing Wakandan technology, whereas Stark's tech is all of his own invention created mostly in a scientific vacuum isolated to his own progress. If rumors about Infinity War are true, it seems he's mastered nanotechnology as well.
Neither party matches up to Pym, though. Pym broke what we understand as physics back in the fucking 60's, and has only gotten smarter from there.
>mark L
>Let's see if they actually show such systems actually existing within this mundane office building, which wpuld actually be the most revolutionary reservoir of self sustaining technology ever created in history.
You mean, like the gigantic Duracell Batteries we saw in the trailer?
i mean
have you guys ever seen an rv
The Black Panther producer literally said Shuri is officially the smartest person on the planet in the MCU now.
God, science really does ruin everything
>Pym never needed an arc reactor to power his suit because he just shrank a bunch of AAA's and put them on his suit
That man is a genius
This is truly the anti-micro kink.
This is also true for just about all comic universes. Tony Stark can engineer weapons and technology that runs circles around Reed or Pym's equipment, but the science his technology is based on is primitive in comparison to the science those two are capable of.
I'll believe it when she makes something as scientifically astounding as pym particles.
It's just like the "The Invisible Woman would go blind because the light just passes right though her invisible eyeballs" shit.
If you think too much about shit you ruin everything.
Fucking hell
That's clever
He can make giant septic tanks that he can make into teeny capsules that he can throw in the trash
It's pym particles my nigga i ain't gotta explain shit
Neat!
>Dumb over used meme joke used by people incapable of sincerity in their outlandish fiction.
It's poking fun at how impossible the physics of Pym Particles are. They don't operate off of a consistent scientific basis, they operate off of a "sounds cool" basis. If you approach any of this from the former perspective, you won't be able to have fun, so literally, unironically, turn off your brain and enjoy the shrinking/growing shenanigans.
He could just shrink the waste into the Quantum Realm
This isn't comics Pym though, 90% of characters in the MCU may as well be totally new.
>Fucking hell
>That's clever
And there is almost a scientific justification for it. If you build a gigantic battery the size of a building, then shrink it down to the size of a normal battery, in theory that shrunken battery would have the output of an Arc Reactor. Batteries are only restricted by size in real life, but Pym's tech allowed him to ignore size restrictions.
>Dumb over used meme joke used by people incapable of sincerity in their outlandish fiction. Can't have actual lore, everything has to be draped in irony
It's fake science. The more details you ask for, the less sensible things are going to be. So yeah, when people want to know how an impossible thing that only exists in fiction could be possible, the response is "don't worry about it".
It just doesn't make sense to approach a comic book's super-science as if it's a real science. You're not going to investigate it and discover the answer to some riddle. It's made up and the person/people who made it up didn't think about that stuff when they came up with it.
In the case of Pym and Wanda, thank goodness.
>Sup Forums doesn’t know the difference between an engineer and a scientist
Over in movies directed by Snyder
the parts where they shrink to tardigrade size make me feel weird, just the reminder of how strange stuff we cant even see is
Voreporn for the Wasp where.
>Tony Stark can engineer weapons and technology that runs circles around Reed or Pym's equipment
Eh, maybe not Reed's. But only because Reed scraps his from aliums.
There are probably some long-term consequences to ingesting food saturated with pym particles.
>No one is getting the joke in this post
He's saying RDJ has so much pull in the MCU he'll always be the smartest person in it
this flushing the toilet instead shrinks it down where ants collect it and toss it outside. that's not asphalt around the building it's shrunken waste
it's not just /tv it's most of the fucking planet
THE FUCKER INVENTED PYM PARTICLES! They break half the laws of physics, I think he can design a self sustaining building
I'm a stupid pleb tier casual know nothing fuck.
What is a pym particle?
Funny
I'm not joking.
It was the entire plot of the first movie, it's the bread and butter of Ant Man, and google is at your disposal
They're what make shrinking and growing possible, and solve any questions you might have about how that makes sense.
"But wait, if a shrunken person maintains their mass, allowing Scott to punch with the strength of a full-grown man, how can he ride on an ant without crushing it?"
"It's Pym Particles, I ain't gotta explain shit"
I haven't seen the first movie, sorry. Or many superhero movies at all.
Oh. So it's marvel's own rendition of speed force.
Actually The Speed Force is still more bullshit than Pym Particles believe it or not
>What is a pym particle?
It is something that allows the alteration of physical matter. It allows you to adjust things in three ways:
1. Size. You can make something bigger or smaller.
2. Density. You can make something dense to the point of being nearly indestructible, or making it so sparse that you could phase through objects. Vision's powers is actually taking advantage of this in the comics, but the MCU makes it less clear.
3. Strength. You can make someone or something strong or weak. This is actually the real reason why Ant-man has superstrength, nothing to do with his density.
Pym Particle can be adjusted to offer these three vectors in any combination you like. But obviously doing it right require very skilled manipulation.
>Eight hundred seventy PSI
I don't know much about science, but that doesn't sound right. He looks about an inch or two tall, wouldn't it be around his normal weight per square inch?
Heating and electricity was provided by arc reactors or something equally powerful invented by Pym.
All sewage and waste was shrunk and sent to the Microverse.
Derek it’s just a model
So Walton Goggins's character is clearly seen holding the mini-lab on the ferry where Scott goes big. My question is, even if he got away with it, what good is it too him? Sure its probably Pym's life's work in an easy carry package, but thats just it, without understanding Pym Particles he can't really use it. Its just a model at that point.
>What is this, A CENTER FOR ANTS?!
Go on.
Same way Stane built Iron Monger: it was already so decent he just had to piece it together.
Yellowjacket armor had figured out Pym Particles but just ignored all the downsides. Goggins may have a way to shrink but he doesn't care it's the 60-percent-chance-of-gooifying way.
Its a magic/limitless energy source from another dimension that Barry may or may not have created when he had the accident which basically is the reason why time moves forward in the multiverse and it grants the user protection from friction/other laws of physics. Need I say more?
I think the Ghost's intangibility tech is based on the Pym particles that one Hydra fucko snatched in the first movie.
Goggins might need very little data to complete the formula. A shrunken building could still be useful.
>Need I say more?
So ...before that accident, time didn't move forward...?
Goliath/Fishburne may be working for Goggins, perhaps against his will. His character is said to be a former colleague of Pym. He may also have data that can help Hank save Janet
Its the Speed Force, by default its bullshit that doesn't make sense. It MAY be a case where Barry's accident creates it, and thus making time work in every moment past, present, and future. Your concept of "time' is too linear
You do realize that this shit is fiction because superheroes like Antman are physically impossible, right? Like, there will never be a scientific explanation for it ever. What the fuck do you expect them to do if "Pym Particles" isn't enough?
>Its the Speed Force, by default its bullshit that doesn't make sense.
So I am beginning to see.
Until Moongirl eventually shows up anyway
The Pym Particle Axis is fun.
So while Pym Particles are another form of comic science that makes no fucking sense, its still a class below the Speed Force. Altering the weight, density, and mass of objects seems kind of small potatoes compared to "Go Fast Dimension"
>What is a pym particle?
Particles that allow people to change size and mass while avoiding all this shit
>yfw Ghost becomes one of the rare MCU villains to not die and shows up later with Zemo in the Thunderbolts
So is Sup Forums going to start waifu-ing Ghost now? I shocked there isnt a wave of fan art yet, or at least a WOO WOO edit
depends if they are going with the paranoid lives in her own filth Ghost or going with some were feminist anti corporation version
...
An actually well conceptualized fictional science extrapolated from hypothetical scientific concepts made mythical and outlandish that is built into an actually seriously formulated lore
Sue bends light around her.
>waifu-ing
Do you have a version that isn't written in taco-speak?
No, the game died before someone made an English version.
>Tony: Pym particles. I wish I had the ego to name a particle after myself.
>Hank: How about you discover one first?
She'd still bend it around her eyes so she still wouldn't be able to see.
>She'd still bend it around her eyes so she still wouldn't be able to see.
The scifi means would be saying that she only bends visible light, and then add a 2ndary superpower that allowed her to see in infrared or something.
How about "it's impossible to turn your whole body invisible at will, so assuming one can do that, one can avoid any blindness problems caused by actual physics"
Distressingly accurate mentality in the MCU
"This comic is fucking ASS"!
