It was my #1 until the Piri episode came along and showered upon me a possibly even more adorable light in the darkness
Definitely a good pick if you're aiming for the whole "kid's romantic dynamic mirrors that of their parents" thing
Still, never ever though

>Fee didn’t give Harvey a kiss on the cheek before she moved away
2pure

Fuck it I'm watching this show. Looks unbelievably comfy.

...

It is

Wait, they ended it by having them move away?

indeed they did

Nick be damned for this.

Their love is pure!

...

Nonsense, Piri Piri is for Claire

Their parents finally came back for them in the finale but if Carl was allowed another season they would've moved into town instead of leaving with the kids

This show had such promise.

I'm kind of glad it was short and sweet and didn't get the chance to decline massively, and 52 half-hours is nothing to sneeze at for such a mistreated show (longer than Gravity Falls or Chowder or Flapjack lasted, and the same length as well-remembered shows like Rocko's Modern Life and Courage)
I can only imagine how different the outcome had been if it had been aired competently though

Not to mention they also had great specials. The Steampunks musical was fun and the Christmas special is probably one of the best holiday episodes I've ever seen.

and two Halloween episodes!
And we never had to suffer through Harvey's post-puberty voice

>I can only imagine how different the outcome had been if it had been aired competently though

If he had the money, time, and manpower to release it independently, I'm thinking he would. It seems when someone wants to advertise a show to a network, it feels like picking the lesser evil.

Also, does anyone have a working MEGA of all the HB episodes?

The end to the series was cancer.

I'll agree it was a lame finale. They spent too much time on jokes about the parents being two more Foos that the emotional part of them leaving fell flat. And you didn't really feel good about Fee leaving because it was like

>Jeez poor Fee has to basically take care of her entire family because she's the only non retard

It was a rare misstep and it feels bad to say because it was the last bit of HB we're ever getting

I think part of the issue is that they barely got the opportunity to make a finale at all and had to rush it with a depleted staff.
Better than nothing, but it definitely could have been better.

pure and non-sexual

This reminded me of a girl that was artsy and kind of quirky that I liked. Once her psychological issues kicked in she stopped taking to me. It sucked.

Did she just become a shut-in, or was it something more overtly crazy than that?
Because if the former, I think most everyone on this board has had their periods of retreating into fantasy and the comfort of isolation rather than facing the possibility of getting hurt by other people and the real world, so I can hardly blame her.
Best thing you can do when you spot it is make a real effort to reach out and say something along the lines of “I get you and I care about your existence and well-being”
Sometimes really depressed people can be wrapped in BoJack-level self-loathing and subconsciously sabotage those relationships (and when they carry that much negative energy it’s often something they will need to fix themselves or through therapy), but other times that mood swing is a reaction to something specific in their life and that bit of positivity and love given directly to them is enough to lift them out of their funk a little and open themselves to accepting a person’s affections.
Y’all could have been sad together, and maybe that catharsis could have led to some kind of happiness.
Being ghosted by someone who feels genuine is alway a real bummer though, my condolences

rest in peace you precious angel

i been watching it for the past week user its really good

Harvey was too much of a gaping vagina to handle Fee.

*perfect adorable child
fixed that for you

Please do

This show was too pure and I pray someday Nick's hateboner dies down and they release the show on disc.

They haven’t even bothered to remove the cancelled vol. 3 comic pre-order from Amazon

Oh baby

Yeah I definitely will.
Gracias my man.

Tell us more.

I liked the show. Literally best joke in the show for me was when princess and harvey mindswapped and princess couldn't lift Harvey's head, asking why it was so heavy. Easy to see why it didnt get ratings though. Chowder fans came expecting chowder humor but it wasn't and the show was just another "slice of kid's life" kind of cartoon. Also michelle is best character.

It didn't get ratings because they didn't rerun or advertise it so barely anyone knew it exists.
It's possible that a gentle, non-ADHD show is a niche now, but slice-of-life shows did fine in the late 90s-early 00s and judging by CN greenlighting Craig of the Creek and Disney getting Big City Greens it seems others in the industry believe the market is still there.

At the very least Big City Greens is created by the Houghton brothers, who were some of the best boarders on Harvey, and with the presence of many Harvey and some Clarence crew it could end up striking a good balance between tones. It's definitely the spiritual successor in any case

Steve Lowtwait who storyboarded on the entire run of Hey Arnold and both movies is also going to be on Big City Greens

They were perfect for noncanon

Harvey and Piri sure do have a special symbiosis thing going on
Harvey is lawful good, and Piri is chaotic good. They’re both fundamentally wholesome and nice individuals (and equally neurotic) but Piri’s eccentricities are the kind that would occasionally push Harvey out of his comfort zone, while still being reassured by her loving, positive personality. I can see them being having very happy days together for a long time honestly, not much there that would create conflict.
Fee’s more of a chaotic neutral, and that ship is more of an “opposites attract” thing. She does have a lot in common in Miriam, and some of the boarders liked to draw them often close next to each other or holding hands, but it’s kind of hard to imagine Fee having a crush much less deeply infatuated since we never got to see it. As is it’s almost like she sees him like another little brother, though Harvey being more on her intellectual level does mean she sometimes had moments of emotional understanding with him that she wouldn’t have had with Foo.
HarvPiri is canon af now but before that garden episode sunk the RooterPiri ship I would have bet they would’ve hinted towards a Fee thing in the finale
