GASTIN IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ATTARCTIVE
Aside from adapting Gaston being a bad idea to begin with, at least they got some of the weird inventions and visuals in there, and they kept the characters mostly true to themselves, they didn't try to make it into something that it isn't.
Really doesn't look like the worst BD adaptation by any means.
>live action
Have they learned nothing from the MCU?
it print money?
>Gaston isn't a scruffy-ass hippie fuckhead
nope
They have, that's why they're doing it. Do you live in some weird bubble where your personal opinion on a product matters more than that product making shitloads of money?
>fuck quality, we want money
Stop being American.
Welp, that explains the MCU.
What the fuck does it matter what I want? Are you retarded or a literal child?
I'm French btw.
>muh feelings
>why aren't companies like me
stop failing that sally anne test, man. It literally proves you are retarded
IT ISN'T A FAKE
FUCKING KILL ME
MY CHILDHOOD AARRRR
RIP IN RIP
Monsieur G wasn't that bad after all.
I hate those actors pet project. Whenever a French actor has money, they want to do their "childhood dream" like that and it's always about self inserting in something people like.
Fuck that shit.
Whose pet project is it? Pef?
>je sui le butthurte
Brace yourself for french City Hunter... I mean, Nicky Larson
I understand Gaston isn't very popular here so every bump helps, but you could put some effort into it.
...there was a Little Spirou the Movie?

What the hell, how have I not heard about any of this until now. I loved these comics as a kid, but the idea of making live-action movies out of them feels uncomfortable. I don't want to see them fuck things up.
>I don't want to see them fuck things up
good. Ignore those movies, that's the attitude. Maybe they'll learn.
well the comic was shit anyway, people only cared for waifus.
NO
WHAT THE FUCK
NO FUCK YOU
non

c'est un canular, ça n'existe pas.
yes iircs.
I will fight you for your shit taste.
>perma gibs muhamad doesn't like office jokes
to nobody's surprise
So, why didn't they ever just fire Gaston?
I think the issue is that most popular BD are comedy aimed at kids and lots of that is cartoony and stylized. You can't reproduce Prunelle's anger or Gaston's S-shaped stance in live action, and things like that are a big part of the appeal.
Compare to cape comics or even things like Tintin or Blueberry, where the character design and movement has at least a pretense of realism.
You think how Sup Forums relates to Eurocomics is accurate at all to how they're perceived IRL?
well, it loks at least visually more appeasing than what they did to Isnogoud.
Or Mortadello et Filyemon (sorr yif writen wrong, I only know them mostly by the german name of Clever and Smart)
What the hell are you talking about?
I am entirely unfamiliar with the source material, my French is so rusty as to be useless, and I'm STILL instinctively cringing at this being a travesty, how is that possible
God damn it. Jackie Chan City hunter was fun as heck.
If you know french and you are a fan of franco-belgian comics, you should know Le petit spirou is some shit tier stuff like Titeuf or Cedric, though old Titeuf issues are probably better than Le petit spirou.
well actually Le petit Spirou is Gastoon tier, you know that kid version of Gaston Lagaffe, pretty bad.
>"whiter than you muhammad lulz"
sorry my dear 56% fried chicken taquito but i read the comic when I was a kid on his original language and it's actually pretty shit to the point my only interest was spirou's mom, it's nothing but poopy jokes, nudes and some naive politically correctness, the first issues had at least a little old school atmosphere but the recent ones are complete shit.
well i don't like very much that phenomenon of overrating eurocomics just because they see nudity on it, the really god tier content are often the classics, and Le Petit Spirou is not part of it, they should read Adult Spirou, especially the ones made by Franquin.
You're easily swayed by what you perceive to be the popular opinion among your peers?
Literally everyone thought you were talking about Gaston. Next time make a full sentence, it will avoid having to answer 3 posts. Some reading comprehension might help too.
this thread is about the Lil' Spirou movie, not my fault if brainlets are focused on OP's reaction pic.
No, it isn't. Watch the youtube vid. Or again get some reading comprehension.
WHAT,AGAIN?
my mistake, I was confused by the redhead lady on the video.
so they are now making a Gaston movie, well it's another comic adaptation with terrible acting, it happens every years here, the worse thing they did are probably "Les Profs" but this is because the comic in itself was shit on the first place.
How the fuck did Les Profs get so popular. It's like those joke vents d'ouest comics you'd offer to your brother in law for Christmas because you don't have any ideas. Are there so many teachers to whom people don't know what to gift?
he's hired by Dupuis himself who think it's a good boy. Also, Demesmaker contract are probably about buying so office, that could lead to Gaston being fired.
>sorry my dear 56%
t. muhamerde
The weird part is that Franquin himself knew his humor wouldn't translate in the real world and it was him who made them change the name.
doing the mistake TWICE despite most of the actors there being still alive is baffling
They want safe comics for safe people, and Asterix/tintin/whatever are either "too dated" or "dad books".
Most people don't understand why it doesn't translate to live action, after all it's an office comedy, with writing somewhat close to a sitcom. Hell the people who made the previous movie probably still don't get it.
But Franquin did because he understands comic book art.
