I dont get this whole idea that big cities would decide the president if it was popular vote. I live in CT and voted trump, so my vote was basically worthless. If it was popular, my vote holds the same weight as a vote in Texas, California or Florida. Not trolling, plz explain.

After the abolishment of the Articles of Confedaration in 1787, to comply with a growing nation, they agreed on representation. That way, one State wouldn't hold all the power in an election. So each state got 2 senate votes and at least one house district votes. It's been like this for hundreds of years, and it's illegal for house representatives to vote against their constituencies. Also, every person is represented proportionately with house districts. So if she won the popular vote and lost the electoral, then blame the people who didn't vote in their county for Hillary Clinton. The more people in a county, the less each vote counts.

The electoral college is a double edged sword. You are right about your vote in CT. However, if we chose politicians only by popular vote, your vote would still be worthless as it would be drowned out by those in liberal cesspools where they breed like rabbits. The only difference is that in scenario 2, even more people's votes count for nothing.
