They just want to make you aware of the option. 35-series jobs are usually taken from the science and language ASVAB line scores, but the AFQT number is usually a quick reference for aptitude.

You can go back and finish your degree any time. I only have 30 credits to go, I can start that shit while on my terminal leave and not even have to worry about scholarships and state citizenship while I'm at it.
