I was having too much fun laughing at retarded people last time this thread archived. Can people please keep this up for my amusement?
Can we do this thread again?
currency is a social construct
Fuck maths and fuck white people.
not a convergent series
2$
Le ambiguously phrased question that can be taken in different ways
I tip my fedora to you good sir
price = 1 + price/2
2 price = 2 + price
1 price = 2
2 dollars
2
1$+half its price
1 + 0.5x = x
1 = 0.5x
x = 2
define "half it's price"
until then kill yourself
also it is supposed to be its you fucking degenerate
>Hand cashier $1
"Where's my 50 cents?"
Dusted off the ol' calculator and the answer is 27.
You're welcome.
1 + .5x = x
-.5x
1 = .5x
÷.5
X = 2

YOU ARE BUYING THE TICKET FROM A SCALPER YOU FAGGOTS! COST IS WHAT YOU ARE PAYING AND PRICE IS WHAT IT IS LISTED FOR ON THE MARKETS
THE TICKET COSTS YOU TWO DOLLARS
dis negro gets it
It is though
1 + series
the series converges to 1
x = 1 + 1/2x
(-1/2x)
1/2x = 1
(x2)
x = 2
~3.50
> Infinite progression where r gets to be >1
Infinity dollars
Fucking jews
1% and 50 €'s
99.314 cents
$1.50 without any jewish tricks
Leaf!
This
How many times do we have to tell you?
x = 1 + x/2
2x = 2 + x
x = 2
This is wrong. This is assuming cost=price (x=x).
Price is undefined in this question, therefore you cannot answer it.
>$1.50
Thats what I thought then again I'm terrible at math.
converges to 2, can also solve algebraically
The answer is literally $1.50 if there are no kike mindgames involved
I did the math and it checks out
1+(p/2) = p
1=p-(p/2)
2=2p-p
2=p
So des the ticket cost $1 or is the price unknown? If it's $1, the cost is $1.50. If unknown, than it's just an equation of ([x÷2] + 1)
2.25
C=1+.5P
Ticket is on sale nigga. Cost and price are not same. That is what is implied by the sentence. This thread sucks.
Fucking this, how can Sup Forums not see it.
2 dollars. This is basic algebra you mongs
If it costs 1 dollar, then its price will always be $1
Femanon here I don't know
$2
i fucking hate all of you niggers atm
>convergent series
Can someone break this down for me, math has obviously changed since I was a kiddo
Alternatively, if you consider this question to be
C = 1 + p/2
then the cost can be any number greater than 1, depending on the value of p. Two unknowns one equation. Infinitely many solutions.
However it's more likely that the author's shitty grammar was asking p = 1 + p/2, in which case the answer is $2.
about tree fiddy
Plus half it is price? Learn English first m8.
Price and cost aren't the same thing leftie
Pay $12. My ticket costs $22 total.
>Consider the following
All the "its 2" fags are assuming that its final price equals 1 plus half of said price, but that is not clearly stated.
finalcost= 1+ price/2, price being in the [0, +infinite[ interval
Listen to yourselves. If it could be 2, so it could be 1,5.
